Steve, I love it! Starting and finishing with Beatles songs! Combining my two most favorite things in the whole world! You also throw in some Booker T & the MGs, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass (saw them when I was four at the Indiana State Fair in 1967..), how cool!
Hey Steve, I really enjoy your racing videos from back in the 1960's era. The 50's through the 70's have always been, to me, "The Golden Era" of American Open Wheel Racing" as well as The NASCAR Grand National days. (PS, Your video's of racing at the Milwaukee Mile are fantastic too!) Thank you so much for sharing them with us fans.
My dad and one of the big racers backed up in the 50s. My uncle ray Slater launch Murphy. Calypso county raceguys like Jim bond, kingkin cakinky Keegan. Galax county fairgrounds racing in the 50s and the 60s. After the 70s. Pandiza.
The 00 Ford at Riverside is one of A.J. Foyt's worst crashes. Like the Beatles music and Booker T and the MGs and Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass too!
@@AmericasChoice I've heard many times over, that the Drs. at the track had pretty much left AJ for dead. His friend "The Great Parnelli Jones" didn't buy that and came to AJ"s aid where he found his friend turning blue when he noticed that AJ had a dirt clod stuck in his mouth and was literally strangling him. Parnelli dislodged the obstruction and finally other rescue team members came to help get AJ out of that mangled Ford Galaxie and took him to the hospital. With all that AJ Foyt has gone through in his life he must be "Super Human." One of many reasons why he was "Super Tex"! RIP and God's Speed to you Roofus Parnell Jones. Your were definitely on The Mount Rushmore of American Racing Drivers!
only 3 views? what's up everybody? this is classic footage.
Give it time, give it time ..

The suspiciously out of place Pink Floyd was a nice touch too
I could watch these all day long. Thanks!
Did not cost me a dime to watch this! You've done more than I could ever imagine to do!🎉 Thanks!

AJ said they were using the new Ford self-adjusting brakes and they failed....and that he was sure he was going to die.

A.J. Foyts near fatal wreck at Riverside 1965.
👍👍
Some serious injuries
Sacramento?
Yes, some there, Riverside, Terre Haute, etc.
Horrible film quality.
old 8mm film that was run at racing parties for 20 years (1965-1980s)
I wonder how good you're going to look when you get to be as old as this film? ... Anyway, you can see it, can't you? Well that's enough, isn't it?
@@szautke I really don't know how that guy would get by with black and white T.V!! He'd think it was the end of the World!! 🤣 💀
The film is probably older than his grandad
