My brothers favorite driver Bobby Isaac. This guy was cool. We both wanted to be Bobby Isaac. He was a driver who, all he wanted to do was drive. There was alot of times when Nascar and manufacturers should have just stayed out of the way. Bobby was undoubtedly one of the best drivers that ever turned a lap. Without question. Yeah Bobby, you were cool. Rest in Peace Bobby Isaac #71 🏁 Thank you for all the wonderful memories 🏁 Mike and Lynn Pardue
RIP Bobby Isaac. Great driver. Will never forget him and the #71 K&K Insurance Dodge. Nord Krauskopf, Harry Hyde, Bobby Isaac, what a team. Bobby had a tough childhood, and missed out on an education that most of us took for granted, because he had to go to work as a young kid to help support his family.
I saw Bobby race one night at Beltsville speedway in Maryland in 75. I was in the pits, just a kid and I was a go-for guy for the #5 car. I saw this man standing next to his car and never saw him before, I asked who was that guy, our car owner said, That is Bobby Issac, the best.
It was 1973 Talladega 500 that Isaac got out of the car mid race & quit. Coo Coo Marlin (who own ride was already DNF) stepped in for Issac. Larry Smith was the driver killed early in the race.
Petty and Pearson both said that Bobby was the best driver they ever saw . I read a long time ago that K and K wanted Bobby to be on the Pole for every race . They didn't care how he finished but wanted the Advertising that the Pole brought .
But a man who could read the track and other drivers like a professor, intelligence where he needed it. Wish NASCAR would understand not having drivers like the great Bobby isaacs and his uniqueness is why the premier level SUCKS now. Its a bunch 18 yr old yankees and drive at tracks that had no history they have gentrified the sport, why do you rhink dirt late models are absolutely exploding. . .
BOBBY ISSAC WAS A TRUE PIONEER , COMPETITOR , CHAMPION THAT PUT DODGE ON THE MAP , JUST AS RICHARD PETTY PUT PLYMOUTH ON THE MAP !!!! HOW GREAT IT WAS BACK IN THOSE DAYS WHEN MEN WERE MEN AND GAVE ALL THAT THEY HAD , CALE IS LOOKING DOWN WITH THAT BIG SMILE OF HIS !!! GOD BLESS THE SOULS OF ALL THE DRIVERS LIVING AND THE ONES THAT HAVE PASSED ON !!!!
