Up to their third album, and they suck live now. Their writing has gotten lazy, the lead singer got fat so performs lazily now, and damaged his voice a couple of times so it doesn’t hold up nearly as well as it used to. But back in the day when they were still a 3 man band I’d argue they were one of the most unique and amazing bands out there.

Johnny of highly suspect is a genre bender too, Soo glad your finally getting to him!!! So many good songs, from Lydia, 16, bad feather, to seratonin and vanity unplugged. That one's a must for getting to see the soul in his voice, he's not just a rapper, screamer, singer, he's soul and bluesy vocals are smooth.....

The song was even better live!!! I always believe the mark of a truly great singer is when they sound better live than they do recorded as if the studio just can't capture their true essence. And this guy is one of those singers. New big fan here!
This video is so loaded with symbolism I have watched it countless times and still learning. This guy has complete creative control over his videos, this is all him, and he is gifted above and beyond 99%. He is not showing how robots become conscious but how humans become robots while inside their soul is screaming, hence addictions and such. This is the definition of genius.

Doesn't that seem like a simulated response from a robot? The robots are building other robots that are morphing into "human"; an thus he too maybe robotic. 6:25 "I'm up off my knees girl. I'm face to face with myself I know who I am" (Staring at the girl robot) There is so much to this song....

This band is so amazing. There is a great video of the 58th Grammys where they performed their song Lydia. They absolutely rocked it out, but the crowd is so subdued. Its a great showing of how great his voice really is.
