- Manscaped recently released the Lawnmower 5.0 "ultra" version. There's a few differences between the Lawnmower 5.0 and previous versions of the 4.0 and 3.0. The ceramic blade has been re-designed and it includes a foil shaver attachment. Use the chapters below to skip to different sections in the video.

Thanks mate, really informative and helpful!
Thanks for this video bud
I've been using a trimmer along the line of the Braun Series 5 - BT5450 for 5 years now. Battery is great never fear of having to charge it all the time.
With the twist knob on the front you have a lot of fine adjustments, comes with a series of combs so you can trim a longer beard without fear of cutting to much.
I use the Philips Bodygroom Series 1000. It has 2 combs. One that trims at 0.5 mm and the other that trims at 3 mm. I use it with the 0.5 mm comb on the armpits and groin area. No irritation. The trimmer is waterproof. The only downside is that it's not rechargeable. It runs on an AA battery.
Old skool batteries. Uuuugh... brother UUUGH! 🤮😂
@@DatNygma The trimmer works just fine. Very happy with it.
@@Alex00789Do you use it on your chest as well?
@@Alex00789 Ik. Buyin batteries suks tho. Unless u get the rechargeable kind
I got the 5.0. First and last time I’ll purchase a manscape there over priced. 70 bucks max I’d pay
I have been wanting to get my hands on the Brio Beardscape but it is out of stock here, please let me know when is the next stock drop for Brio in Australia?
I got mine for $70 with prime deals, so I'm pretty happy👌
This guy works for brio
Literally. Lol. No one is going to mention things like having an added adjustable LED light. ALL those cheaper options are lacking several features
@@stevej3611 There not and Manscaped is just overpriced and bad quality too. So nobody need this little LED light and also it doesn´t have a ceramic blade like other brands have.
Where do you get the brio blade holder? Cant find it on the site.
www.brio4life.com/collections/trimmer-accessories/products/blade-box - its under trimmers/accessories. Thanks!
needed that
it does what it says, is it only the pricetag that is the no no?
I use wahl vanisher for after shave
Just bought this trimmer since Brio discontinued the Axis.
I'm between Philips Norelco Bodygroom Series 7000 (for 50€) or Meridian (for 117€) . Can you help me choose? At the moment I'm using the Philips One Blade
I need some sugestions. Money dont matter. I just need a good trimmer for everything from neck down. Anyone got any good sugestions?
Will be honest I was just about to buy a landscape and after watching your well put together a video I feel that it is not necessary for me to make a purchase with manscape. many of the things you stated were well understood and prove that manscape is not for me I also like the fact that you show the fairness when presenting the pros and the cons and why not I mean I'm just going to keep looking for the right type of trimmer which I need I found one but it's disappeared because it was on one of those websites I don't remember where it was anyways I'm hoping to find it again because I think that's the appropriate blade that I need and yes I would also agree with you sometimes having too many things all in one does not necessarily mean that it is better yet it doesn't mean that it is bad however functionality might be imbalance. so for now thank you for your input and yeah I think I will stay away from manscape for the time being.
Can you trim your beard with this trimming
Just used the 5.0 w the coil blade, chopped my boys n a small piece of skin hangin off it hurt so bad😭😭
I got the manscape 5.0 bundle for $116 from a promo code. plus its on sale right now. The original price of the bundle is like $257.
I’m thinking about getting it just for the foil shaver since I already have a 3.0 but do u think I should get an actual beard trimmer since the foil blade has the side blades he was talking about. I don’t really want those side ones just a foil blade
do washing the balls with cold water to make them stiffer before shaving helps to reduce the chance of cutting ur self ?
Here’s what ya do:
Grab the sack but not the testies, and stretch. It’s called the Bat. Check out a comedy staring Ryan Reynalds and Justin Long called Waiting for a more detailed explanation.
This thing advertised as you can trim anywhere (and I mean anywhere) without getting nicked and cut to shreds! So is it true or just an expensive marketing gimmick for an expensive average shaver? Anyone bought one? What’s you thoughts? That price tag though wow.
Any suggestions on arm and chest shavers without tearing myself apart lol
What are you using right now?
@@JMW10o0o Gillette razorblade
Thanks great review and informative. Unfortunately, the landscape will always be more popular since they're marketing is king. Few people are going to watch a 10-minute video to see if the purchase makes sense relative to the people who are exposed to an ad.
thanks for the video! very helpful info, i've used an older version of the phillips one you showed, i've used it for like a decade at this point, it does alright in that it does the bare minimum required for me to trim hair on my person lol. i agree about the foil/trimmer combined head, it's totally useless and honestly it hurts when i try to use it (tried it on my pubic hair, non-scrotal area haha, and on my head which i shave bald or trim close to scalp, and yea it jsut fucking hruts in both cases, but i haven't notice it to break skin so far, just really pulls on hair and feels abrasive. anyway the battery is useless, to be fair it's super old at this point and the battery is prob shot but it also wasn't good to being with, wouldnt last a full shave of face and head. and i /hate/ that it can only charge in the base. why tf do they do that, i don't want to have to display my trimmer on my bathroom counter in a little stand lmao it's the most useless inconvenient thing. Battery powered shavers should also be able to shave while plugged in to an outlet, as in you can use it while it's charing. like surely that's a thing? can anyone recommend a model?
I was gifted the 5.0 trimmer and after 2 days, returned it.
I liked the light and Qi charging but totally ineffective for its intended purpose. Shame it sucks as it has potential but doesn't deliver...
Terrible guards and very expensive, with great marketing but crap execution. Sent it back for the Norelco 7K Bodygroom instead and is objectively a MUCH superior product.
It's crazy how much they charge for it. I bought a body hair trimmer for $40 and it does a fine job. You really don't need to spend a lot of money to get the job done.
I just got the 5.0 manscape
Only got it cuz it was 30% off with t mobile tuesday
Still got shafted.
@@purplestrawberrysunset if that means clean trimmed then yea. No complaints here.
It will die on you within the year. 1-5 have nothing but shit reviews because they die sooo fast. It's like Manscape refuse to listen to their reviews. They've learned nothing and change nothing. Bet money on it
@@dresoto2694 I’ve had the manscape 3 since day one and had 0 problems with it. I mainly see good reviews which Is y i bought it
How do I charge it?
So if you open your fucking eyes you’ll see the usbc plug
Even after watching this I still bought a manscaped lawnmower and I couldn't be happier. Why? Because they're the only ones that charge with USB-C, which given it's 2024 you would think should be common place. I'll take the slight shaving inconveniences over having to have bundles of cables everywhere and gosh forbid you lose it you have to contact the manufacturer to replace it and yeah nuh no thank you. Please use USB-C and I'll buy yours.
This 100%. I can’t stand having proprietary chargers everywhere, especially when traveling. Plus this one is like half the size of the Brio he recommends.
If they remade the Axis with USB-C it would probably do well.
My 4.0 died to rust which shorted out the motor. They advertise as waterproof yet the internals couldn't even take shower water? Idk man I'd prefer usb c too, but I'd take a better product over convenience.
@@TimberWulfIsHere I sometimes like to imagine a world where we could have both a good product and USB-C. To each their own, I just think it's insane that this apparently bad product was able to put USB-C and these massive brands can't do it.
The battery Life of my Lawnmower 4.0 was short , it just passed my warranty date. The shaver should also have a easy way to replace the battery and not completely enclose the Shaver like they have it now. They gave me a Special offer on the Lawnmower 5.0 . I don't like either the foil shaver with 2 trimmers (1 on each side). That concept is not real good or not impressive s0 I will not use it. 🤓 ❤ 👍 👁
Good video, think I'll pass on Manscape
I have the 4.0 and i think its horrible for balls. Ive seen commercials where they use the trimmer without a guard on a kiwi, but if you use the trimmer without a guard on them balls you getting nicked instantly and badly
you're going too rough on them lil guys. just glide it across
who tf is taking 60 minutes or longer to shave their junk?
Yeah and it only takes like 10 minutes to charge fully you could have it charging while your showering and you would have full battery life once you are done washing your body
I think just in general, most people might just forget to charge it and it would be nice to not have to charge often.
Depends on the size of your junk. (for some of us it is a major undertaking)
@@paulmartin2348 My junks pretty close to my shoe size, I only take around 5 or 10 minutes
I take several hours but I’m also tucking my junk between my legs and putting on drag while dancing to Goodbye Horses.
Back with the 4.0 I had to get it replaced 3 times because it would stop working after less than a month of use. I thought I was doing something wrong until the last one i got actually outlasted the others, however the button would sometimes not work. Its an extremely overpriced item and i cant even trust that it'll work.
Good Marketing, i guess..
This guy pretty cute 🤭
Vape #single @Obama
Bought this trimmer broke a month later a Walmart trimmer is better
Just get some remington trimmer for $30 instead of this. 🤔
Just run away its sh$$
