The brio doesn't have usb c charging, right off the bat thats a no for me.

Literally just got this beard trimmer based off your title. I'd been growing my beard out for 1.5 years and it worked just fine. Only negative is now I don't have a beard.

Over a year ago, I was looking to get the trimmer and was pretty sent on buying the man scape trimmer mostly due to advertising. Found your channel in your review on it and decided to do more research and ended up going with the Brio. Thank you for creating great content!
Don't ever fall for the hype! It's only heavily promoted on social media platforms cause the "influencers" make a big fat commission when someone uses their "code". Imagine a RUclipsr with millions of subscribers and if they can get 10 or even 5% of their audience to buy this product, how much are they making? Profits are huge! But the fact remains the product is garbage!
I just use regular clippers. It's cheaper & the same exact thing as these so called beard trimmers.
Any company that spends so much on marketing & sponsorship should be a red flag
All that money is going to get it in peoples faces and not into the product

I've had the Brio V1 for a few years now and still love it! Haven't yet had to replace the ceramic blade, and the battery life is still amazing. I use it every week and only have to charge it 2 times a year.
Yea the gray one I showed in the video is the very first Brio I ever got, years and years ago. Still works great!

Just wanted to say I found your channel through this video because I was considering buying the Beard Hedger. I ended up buying the Beardscape V2 and it's a huge upgrade from my Philips trimmer I got at Walmart, having solid guards with no flex made my beard way more even post trim than I've ever had it.
Over half your vid is about how it looks and the website... how about more about how it performs. This vid is pretty worthless whether you're right or not.
I love this guy's beard info helps alot but I do have a problem with your constant bashing of manscape it seems very personal everytime they drop a product you explain why people shouldn't buy it and your main reason is because of price are there cheaper options yes that's with everything there is always something cheaper that's comparable even with beardscape I have both products manscape and beardscape I like both of them they both get the job done that's why I buy them and I like both companies it's that simple I could see if you was giving people cheap alternatives but you trying to convince people of they buying it is a waste of money when it's not

The brio is way better I would only use manscape for your balls i think they are way stronger there but if your going towards beards I would say the brio the brios is such a nice beard trimmer
It’s extremely easy to unsubscribe. They text you anytime they are about to send you anything and all you have to do is send a text back saying “stop”

They, like every marketer on the planet, have worked out that subscriptions are the best form of eternal income. Most people do not notice or fail to remember to unsubscribe. There is a reason why just about every software company on the planet has moved from one time license purchase to subscription. Looking at the webpage, it is clearly designed to decieve. Even if they get one lot through before you realise and cancel, they are in front. Regardless of the quality of the product, I would not purchase for this duplicitous selling practice alone, but that's just me.
I’ve had cheap crappy trimmers. Got the brio V1 years ago and I still love it. Hands down the best.

Yeah I thought manscaped was good at first, I bought the lawnmower 4.0 and it didn't even last a year, their warranty was very short and would not replace it, I cut myself sooooooo often with it, more than the scissors I used. Please Please don't buy manscaped products, save yourself some money

Another thing i noticed about the Manscaped Lawnmower 4.0 is it only has 1 guard as far as a beard trimmer so you can only set your beard to 2 settings, one with a guard and one without but the guard isn't adjustable
Got the brio guards are very large making it difficult to trim shorter beards. Additionally the large guards make it difficult to trim the mustache. 😢
Great video, was looking to get the Brio V2 but after seeing this video, I wonder if it trims well at 0, 1 and 2, my beard is quite shortest as it gets.
Any suggestions on best device for short to skin beards ?

Lost my beard yesterday due to the flex in the beard hedger. luckily I keep a short beard and will re grow in a month or so, but damn what a horrid design.
I just bought one and its delivered this morning. Its on recharge right now. Looking forward to using it.
Honestly I could ignore it all if it had more length options than just 10 mm. That’s barely more than a stubble.

Thanks for your honest review. My manscaped ball trimmer is a great product, so I figured their beard trimmer would be top notch too. Glad I watched this, I went with the Brio V2 as you recommended.

I got the Manscaped Beard Hedger for christmas and it is absolutely amazing, enjoy it every time I use it - cannot share your opinon on this. Although the Brio looks to be a good one as well :)

The Manscapped Beard Hedger is complete trash. Mine stopped working 8 months after I purchased it and their response has been to buy another one with a slight discount or to start a subscription. Thanks for the recommendation on a different option.
I've heard great things about Brio, but I have a hard time leaving an OG company like Andis. With that being said, I wouldn't give the ball trimmer guys (Manscaped) a shot to trim my beard. Thanks for the video though 👊🏾.
I’m not saying your wrong but it’s kinda obvious you’re biased for Brio . I watch a bunch of vids on guys actually using manscaped product and aren’t sponsored by them or trying to sell you something else , and they all worked no problem (idk about groin cause they don’t show that) . Just anybody reading this check multiple reviews on manscaped products . It seems this guy just wants you to buy brio products . BUT brio may be better 🤷🏻

Was gonna try it out given the claim of one trimmer attachment or whatever.
Attachment feels flimsy. In the video I show how it flexes and is basically going to change the guard length without you adjusting it

Good review I was contemplating buying the Manscaped trimmer but I've only heard good things about Brio Beardscape V1 and V2.
The one problem is that I live in Belgium (Europe) and I can't find it anywhere on european sites, and I really hate to pay import taxes as they are crazy expensive sometimes.
It looks like every shitty trimmer that's been around for years. I used to run through these types of trimmers once a year when my beard was stubble short. I would go with a Brio, Live Bearded MT1, or a Wahl Magic Clip everyday.

Yeah I had no idea about the peak hygiene plan either. got charged and cancelled and they sent the money back and i got the stuff for free.

I tested their product. it was most likely broken or is of utter quality. doesnt cut is loud af. I issued a refund. "Sure just send us the package with everything in it and we will refund the order." We are talking international shipping since its fulfillment center is in another country than i am. They want me to pay for the 20€ shipment cost and will not pay for it afterwards OR i can keep my most likely broken trimmer and get on with it. They advertise "Hassle free return." Which is a straight up lie. I ordered multiple products and was only dissatisfied with 1.
I will send them their whole bag back. This company will not see a single cent from me and i will make it my lifes mission to tell everybody remotely intrested in this that they straight up sell overpriced procuts and Lie about their refund policy in their own QnA. Not offering free return is not the standart in modern times ESPECIALLY if we are talking about 290 euros purchases.

Still rocking my brio, almost 8 years later and i have only recently realized i could replace the head lol. While the new one does cut much better, the old one didn't give me any issues. I got the manscaped kit with the nose/ear hair trimmer and was so disappointed i reached out to them to return for a refund. I will say they did awesome and gave me a full refund and let me keep the kit but the only thing ill be using is the nose/ear hair trimmer. The trimmer is absolutely horrible. especially in comparison to the brio beardscape. I should have known better than to listen to the hype!

Competing products claim "self sharpening" and "sharp for life" meanwhile, Manscaped push a new blade every 3 months. SMH, they just admit to selling poor quality.
I got the ball trimmer thing when I got a shopping voucher for my birthday. I used it on my balls a couple times but I was real careful and to be honest - I didn’t do a good job because I was worried about what it was gonna do to me. It doesn’t feel good at all. I used it on my armpits - on my right arm I cut myself badly. I don’t rate it at all - and believe me I’m careful. Believe it or not - I have a small white Philips bikini trimmer that I’ve used deadset for more than 10 years - and have grazed myself with it like 3 times. I use it on my balls groin armpits hands and feet. It’s miles better than the manscaped ball thing
I bought the 4.0 trimmer about a year ago and have started having issues with the motor. After charging it up it started sounding very loud and shacking in my hard. I think this trimmer is defected within one year. I contacted customer service but they gave me the run around. I don’t have the receipt from last year anymore and if you didn’t buy it from their website, your out of luck. This is by far the worst trimmer I have ever owned and I’ve owned many. Stay far away from this company, they are truly a RipOff.
Yeah water proofing might be a decent perk, but not a game changer...But yeah, the last thing you wanna do is trim a wet beard, its like trying to mow the fuckin lawn RIGHT after it just rained, with the beard gauges on, you're basically just going to be slapping your hair if that.
I also used my Beard Hedger once, and now it won't even charge correctly and it doesn't even turn on anymore no matter how long I leave it charging it just works for half a second then says that the battery died. Huh? I left it charging for days since I don't shave every day, how can the battery be dead? Why is it still dead after I unplugged it and plugged it back in and waited for an hour? This shaver is a scam IMHO.

The advertisement I saw was enough to steer me away from it, I guess he's a famous golfer or something, but anyone with a big beard shouldn't be shaving the neck area like that... lol
I'm debating with the brio v1 or v2 for trimming my sides and blending down my mustache. Do both work the same, or should I be looking into v2, what's your recommendation?

Have you tried the live bearded trimmer? It seems to be very similar to the brio.
Manscaped products are horrible. They are like re-branded Walmart trimmers significantly marked up.

Brio combined with adjustable lenght would be dope then. I actually like the adjustable lengh feature and it comes in handy instead of switching.
I just bought this and it won’t turn on , I put it to charge and the led light didn’t turn on
I hate their advertising so much every time I see one of their ads I hit "I don't want to see this ad" I don't want to hear about people's balls I'm normally eating while watching RUclips so they always come at the worst time
Buy a hair clipper… these beard trimmers are useless at cutting through the bulk of a beard, if you have curly or coarse hair.
Their products really aren't that great. Their weed Wacker sucks at getting ear and nose hair. I bought a cheaper ear and nose trimmer and it works a thousand times better.
It's rechargeable which means the battery will die in about 2 years and then you have to spend another $100 to get a new one. No thanks.

I thought it was the way I was using it !!!! But basically, it only works if you want to keep stubble on your face. Does not cut well at all and leaves scraggly hairs. Takes forever to cut the head with the guard off

My beard trimmer recently broke and I have been looking around for a new one, I'm thinking of the Philips MG9710. I was almost fooled into buying the Manscaped stuff because of how many channels are sponsored by them and then I remembered to never trust a product pushed by RUclipsrs. After a quick look online, I can see I was right.
Love that you just happen to recommend Brio in all your videos 🙃 The first 5 minutes you spent critiquing their subscription service, which is completely irrelevant to the product. The integrated guard and type-c charging is what sold the manscapped for me, as I always seem to lose propriety chargers and individual guards (though they likely preform better). I’m not cutting hair professionally, so convince is more important to me (and I’d argue most consumers).
I do hate the manscapped/frat bro marketing they use. It’s dumb and juvenile and one step above axe body spray.
