      "no BS"?! It all ad advertisement for the company he is with "brio" and gives a link to that. The token nods to other competitors is just a little sugar to go with the lie so that suckers take this as an honest review.

      @@tonyc7352 To be honest, I felt that way at first when he said " we this...and we that." and I realized that the website is Brio's...but.... the reasons he gave for why it is One of the four he would reccomend are still valid.
      Secondly, he mentioned it along with Three others, that he would also recccomend, and did not "push" it anymore than the rest. So yeah.... but No. Your cynicism is misplaced on this one.

    I was looking for a beard trimmer a few years ago. All my favorite youtubers pushed manscaped. Started watching reviews. Not impressed. (Same exact story with raycon) then I found brio. Have been using it daily for years. Couldnt be more happy with it. Looking for a nose hair trimmer n see this. Wow. What a refreshing take. Could have trashed them all and said how great only yours was. But didnt. Even critiqued your own. Thats integrity. Seems a rare trait these days. Thank you. Made it an easy choice.

    One point yoi6didnt mention is that the Brio has an aluminium body which is definitely a bonus, plastic bodies often break or the battery cap and incorporated on/off switch on some are usually the first part to break/fail. Also I've had many of these that have had the head unit containing the blade break its thread and needed sticky tape to hold it to the body. Great review, helpful. 🙂

    I've had to throw away two trimmers with replaceable batteries now, one due to a battery leaking inside wrecking it (this seems to happen a lot recently I'm not sure if batteries are lower quality these days or what?) and one due to the contacts corroding up (possibly moisture or condensation got in?). And yet on the flip side during the same period my rechargeable toothbrush which gets a lot more use and abuse has been perfectly fine. So although I understand why you didn't want to recommend rechargeable units, I'm not convinced replaceable battery units last longer.

    • @xvnbm
      @xvnbm Год назад +1

      Yes, batteries are worse quality today. I am getting leaking batteries all the time now. Earlier this happened only for really old battereis, which had been on place for years, now they can leak after few months or so.

      For electric toothbrushes I think rechargeable batteries are necessary, toothbrushes with replaceable batteries aren't powerful enough to actually clean your teeth. plus, as you mentioned they are used far more often. The only reason why I think replaceable batteries are better for ear and nose trimmers is because they are used infrequently. The price goes up a ton to put in a rechargeable battery and it becomes a timebomb. I wanted to love the mechanical trimmers but it was just too painful.

I figured it was worth sharing, because most people don't get to actually try this many products. I don't mind pointing out other trimmers that are great options. As far as cutting quality, I actually like the Conair best of all. I learned, over time, how to treat them more gently than the others. They are very delicate and very fragile. After use, I run them in a thimble sized plastic cap full of alcohol. Then with a very soft little brush, I slide any leftovers outwardly, then run it in alcohol again. This all is to better insure that next time you use it, it won't be locked up. A couple drops of a very watery lubricant (like WD40) while it's running, will further it's life span. If it's locked up, let it soak in that little cap of alcohol overnight....or check it in an hour. I can make them last a long time. WHEW!! huh? The things we'll do for the tools we love 🙄

    • @brioproductgroup1956

      @@brioproductgroup1956 They are about the "size" & shape of a thimble. They are actually the clear plastic caps that snap over the nozzles of my wife's (Suave) hair spray bottles (Not aerosols - manual finger pumps). Some caps are a little taller than others. Just fill it with alcohol, or etc. and slide it over to the corner of your sink & wall so you can submerge your cutter blade end and let the other end lean up against the wall. Now it can soak all night. These caps can be found not only just hair spray bottles, but any 8 oz. manual spray bottles of room disinfectants/deodorizers, etc, etc).

I don't like linear styles blades because they cut too close and you are primed to having in grown nose hairs which are awful. You want to trim them back, not cut them to the skin.
