You're right, it's sacastic. The song was created when the Iraq War began and George W. Bush wanted to bless the world with American democracy. But Rammstein are not anti-American. They have a lot of fans in the USA and guitarist Richard lived in New York City for 11 years.
They are not anti-american but they don't realy love it and see the dark sides very clear.
They are pretty anti American, just because they have fans they still are very much against the American Government
You want to watch at Educated Marine or Bückstabu, both have good English subtitles. And you want good subtitles, for they always have many layers.
Regarding the pronunciation of "Rammstein", watch "Rammstein" or "Rammleid MSG" live. The latter was the opener after they had boycut the US for ten years in disgust over hysterical nationalism after WTC. MSG sold out in 20 minutes and you can see the crowd go insane- especially if you include the one where they actually enter the stage.

Finally someone who got it right with the meaning from an American perspective. Greetings from Germany and you doing it pretty well with the whole song. Rammstein also did a very good video of our dark history as well called "Deutschland" ❤

'Sonne' and 'Ich will' are one of the classics you definitely should have heard if you would like to explore Rammstein. You've already said almost everything. But what most people outside of Germany don't understand is that we have had to deal with our horrible Nazi past for decades. This has led to most of our people developing an enormously self-critical attitude (the sense of guilt). And our model student mentality naturally expects the same from other nations when dealing with their own dark chapters in their history. This is super clear in their video “Deutschland”. And if you've already seen the "America" video, I would say: America first and Deutschland 2nd...
Oh and btw... Take a video with the option of English subtitles...

Very good reaction, thoughtful, smart and very sharp and on point interpretation. However, Rammstein are not anti american, the are really huge there. This song is just a social critique, very sarcastic, and written in a certain context: the Iraq War. Also, their video for the song Ich Will was banned in US because it had the misfortune to be published in september 2001 and you know, all the mass hysteria regarding 9/11. Anyway, you should do more Rammstein reactions, go down the rabbit whole, because there is a lot to discover. This band is one of a kind, extremely creative, provocative, high value video productions, wild and mindblowing live performances and.....the LYRICS!!!! Till is a very clever and talented poet, therefore you should not miss the lyrics, becase they are very (not all of them, mostly) deep and thought provoking. I'm thinking about song like "Halt" or "Spring". Best wishes!

Also, take in regard that this song was created when USA invaded Iraq for fabricated reasons, what was widely criticized.
