Cameron hooked me up with getting my Meteora's crappy nut replaced with 0 a finely cut and polished bone nut by their luthier… one of the best stores in the San Francisco Bay area if you ask me! 😎🤘🎸❤️🔥

Musicman quality really is amazing. I had an Albert lee hh that I sold because I felt like the guitar was just a little too small for me. It was one of the nicest quality instruments I’ve ever played.

I'm jealous. I just pulled my 7 string out of storage, 2 days ago and started learning Dark Eternal Night as soon as I got home. I can only imagine what a JP7 would be like.
Great story about a shop that proves their integrity by simply doing the right thing for a customer in a timely manner. Great also to see you over the top with an instrument that will inspire you to experience new tones and work on a beautiful beast of an axe.
Wow, that's the same weight as the new Dinky I just got from Sweetwater. Easily the lightest weight guitar I've ever personally owned. Grats on a winner!
Congrats on the guitar Phil! i own a JP6 Koa, another JP6 in mystic dream and JP13-7 string and im not even a huge fan of Petrucci but IMO Music MAn makes some of the best mass produce guitars on the market.
Those pickups in clean mode are heavenly-sounding.......I do remember that Petrucci said years ago regarding the controls that his hated how traditional strats always had the volume knob literally right beside the high 'E' string and how easy it was to roll the volume off by accident. That's why the controls are at the very bottom of the body,...so that the volume control is out of the way while playing.
I actually do think John would care if you sent him a message saying you got it. He's a really genuine guy and I think he takes feedback very seriously, especially from people he respects and have shown him courtesy.. I've had the pleasure of talking to him a couple times and he was just such a nice and warm guy.

Congrats Phil !! The flame on that neck is so awesome and I love having a boost on the guitar. I have a Strat w/ an Alembic Blaster and having the boost at a flick of a switch is great.

I even have a first gen know your gear shirt and yes you even put my picture at the end of one of your videos - super cool. Anyway, I really liked how you did this personal video. The guitar looks great. Excellent color and finish. The flames are top notch. I also was very impressed with the huge variety of tones that it offers. Honestly, in some instances a guitar can offer so many varieties of sound that it almost looses it’s own identity. Not the case here. This one gave lots a variations on the same theme which I think is another highlight of this guitar. I know you will enjoy it. I think it was an excellent purchase and i was surprised when you said since one guitar came into the collection that one of the others needed to go. I have lived by the same rule almost my whole musical career. Gear for gear baby. So plug that beast into something driven and break in that neck! Have to agree with you on the amazing JPs... I traded my '17 Gibson 335 for a 2007 BFR about a year ago, and have absolutely zero regrets.
