Actually, the cinematic cars are mostly non-ranked blacklist racers. Razor, Bull and Ronnie’s cars have no performance upgrades and all run slower than normal in the career intro. The BMW M3 GTR is also much slower in the career intro than it is in Quick Race, even slower than the Black Edition exclusive Camaro and Street BMW M3 GTR. The career intro meant to be far too easy up until the last race, which is why Razor decided to sabotage the car.

I think it's neat that you saw all the Blacklist guys with their stock cars in the intro. JV's Viper was stock, Lou's Eclipse was stock, etc. It added a lot of feeling of the passing of time to the game as you saw the Blacklist members upgrade their cars over time until you went to challenge them for their positions.

Why MW1 was so succesfull? I get the nostalgia etc. but in many aspects there are better NFS's. Lets say ... in my opinion as old school NFS fan, Heat is better than MW1. Story wise... not really, but whole gameplay is just more complex and enjoyable.
