Have had this happen in my late mothers family took many years for cousins of ours to be free to go to their mother. Had to be grownups to.get away. Sad. A lot of times money and social status causes this to happen. Money talks often in these cases .cant say it was for the best .it wasn't. .

I bet the family was pissed that she was able to live her life and continue to find success after they tried so hard to ruin it. I also know that many rich families (not just Korean chaebols) have disclosure agreements you have to sign if you work there or marry into the family so she could have never said anything bad about them since she would be sued to hell. So of course she would deny any bad treatment towards her in public shows.
To my point of view I feel it's really uncalled for to separate a mother from her child. Marriage is another face of life that Noone can predict what happens next. I can relate to what she is going through because my mom went through something similar but she is died now.

Just one Koreans owns credit cards in his name and even a college stude is already in neck-deep debt to banks plus their student loan that racks up interest every year. It also a fact that the banking system in SoKor sucks even the Western countries finds it ridiculous. AND it's really diff in SoKor when they imprison a criminal from a rich family there's a caste system. Fact is SoKorea is the fastest developing Asian country it's bcos of its chaebol families -- maybe you are aware that most SK beauty companies are funded or supported by the SK government? How morally wrong for any parent to refuse rights to the children. Just shows a flagrant act of one’s mental instability. The first drama I ever saw was The Queen's Classroom. I didn't even know about K-dramas, but there was an OST for this drama by Sunny of SNSD that had come out. In the comments was where I found out how to see it. It was my most favorite drama until I saw Mother. Now they are both my favorites, but I could not say which is 1st and which is 2nd. They are equally good.

I’m sure her life became so miserable and unbearable that in order to survive she needed to find a way out. It’s outrageous that she not only lost custody, but lost all contact with her children. Of course, her children’s lives will be totally controlled and manipulated as long as their father is alive. It’s sad that they were never able to experience the love, care and nurturing of their mother. They will simply be like programmed robots with their futures dictated by their father, where they are educated, who and when they will marry, etc. This cycle of the wealthy goes on for eternity until someone is courageous and independent enough to break the cycle.

If it is a case of external influences from powerful families, then it's a shame. Production companies should not allow themselves to be bullied to nib great actors. Hope good Production companies pick her up. So her talents would contribute to the industry. She should secretly write a drama script on her life and sell it to a Production company outside to produce series or movie as best revenge.
