Wow, what an awesome rebuild. The poor thing looked like it was ready for the scrap yard. I have a 1983 VF750F and I'm going thru it to get back on the street as well. Mine sat in the garage for 20 years. Getting closer for a ride. Mine isn't a ground up rebuild. Right now I'm having the worst time getting the front and rear brakes pump up. New seal kits and calipers have new seals and stainless pistons. Any suggestions? I had the carbs completely overhauled so they are ready to go. Had to replace the gas tank 20 years of old gas rusted out in a few places. The replacement gas has surface rust which I will use a rust remover & then seal it. Hoping to have mine running in a couple of months. Cheers love the sound of the V45 Thanks john
Hi John I had the same issue with the brakes trying to bleed them best way is to use a vacuum bleeder that I got for $40 from an Auto shop. Good to hear you are doing one up aswell. Some parts are getting harder to get.
This is really awsome, I think I'm just about to put my 84 vf750f back on the road within the next month or two.
Great looking machine!! Looking forward to see your final reassembly!! Motivation to get my 84 Interceptor back on the road too!
