- Today I decide to tackle the monster hunter games. Since Monster Hunter Wilds was just shown off it's time to tackle all the monster hunter games I've played and where I'd put them. So let's jump into it and make sure to list YOUR ranking below!

I started hating Rise because I was expecting a slower MH experience just like the old ones but then it became one of my favourite MH games once I thought of it as a new MH experience and not a "continuation". Also I kinda liked the end game, it wasn't perfect but for me it was the best we got so far. The multiplayer experience was a big miss in this one tho, they should have kept the MHW multiplayer formula.
I hope they dont keep this trend of full speed games forever, I want some slower games just like the old ones every now and then. World/IB was a perfect middle ground, they just needed a better endgame.
I think we'll probably always get around World in terms of speed. I personally love Rise quick nature of hunts but I get others who like more of the slow actual trap based monster hunter fights. I wonder what wilds will do!
Currently my favorites are 3u GenU and RiseBreak. Rise has peak combat. GenU has peak monster variety. 3u has peak preparation. I hope Wilds Is like all of them combined hoping
Wow, we're actually almost exactly on the same page. I'd flip 4U and Worldborne, but I'm confident that's at least 40% nostalgia on my end
4U and Generations Ultimate are loved plenty so I can see a lot of people flipping those with world and rise, just depends!
In my opinion, the best old generation game is Freedom Unite. in freedom unite there is nostalgia and all the monsters in the old generation and the combat is the closest to real. As for the best game overall, I'll stick with MH4U. especially if the MH4U mechanic was added to the water combat in MH3U, it would be my best monster hunter game. and the monster hunter games that I don't like are the series after mh4u. I think in mhgen/mhgu, the style makes monster hunter games broken. The impression of the dodge skill and armor skill was trimmed because the style and impression of the excitement and ferocity of the monsters disappeared. A monster hunter game that gives a real impression of human life in the Jurassic era and myths into a fantasy arcade game. I swear, mhgu and mhrs are the most boring monster hunter games, they make you sleepy, not a monster hunter game anymore!
btw my journey for monster hunter game is, my first mh game on ps2, the monster hunter 1, after that monster hunter 2 dos. then mhfu on psp emulator, mhp3rd hd, mh3u on 3ds emulator, then mh4u (my best mh game). mhgu/mhrsb is boring game i have playd. but for mhwib is still good and fun, not as bad as mhgu/mhrsb
As a Gunlance main I'm eating good with Rise/Sunbreak. Started off using it in 3U and it was satisfying to learn but the mobility was a big hurdle. Now in Rise I'm zipping all over the map with it. World was the breath of fresh air the series needed, still need to try out the expansion for it.
Iceborn is a lot of fun and brought a sense of danger again which I enjoyed a lot. Glad digging rise tho!
That same fun mechanic that youre talking about, ive heard people talk trash about it like it somehow makes the game bad :/ like how can you be so triggered over something that is as fun as shooting across the map like a rocket, I just dont get it, I think people from world be hating on rise just because they can and because its not world
6-7 hours in Rise(: Sunbreak) (my first MH) and I already thought I would before I got the game, BUT I'M ALREADY LOVING IT

While playing it wasn't bad but once get rid of it and make it more streamline it's so much better that world onward way lol
@@UltimateChance The ways that they streamlined the paintball mechanic weren't all for the better. The way capturing monsters worked was done away with entirely in favor of the monster sprinting away as quickly as possible when captureable because there is no paintball associated skills like "Capture Guru". Rise did this even more thoughtlessly by straight out telling you with a giant blue "Capture me now!" icon. I can't personally think of a way they could change it to give monsters a chance of *not* being captured unless they reverted to something similar to the old system, or maybe a "fake-out-capture" monster, but I'm not holding out hope for either of those things happening.
Alot of North American gamers think MH 3U sucks because water combat is hard lol we asians think its best part because its harder. MH games were fun because it was hard and ppl complain because its hard 😂
As I get older I def care less and less about hard games haha. But I didn't think MH3 water combat was hard just boring and not fun. I think generations is prob the toughest mh game but I think it's better than 3.
The issue wasn’t that it was hard. Idc about hard games I have thousands of hours in mh games and souls game. MH 3u water combat stinks because the combat is boring as hell. There were few fights that were fun under water but most stunk tbh.
Ive played and beat all from soft games. I like hard games. The water was just boring.
The increased difficulty is something is Americans appreciated in the hitman game series. Americans lag behind Asians when it comes to accepting and appreciating increased difficulty settings, as we are inherently lazy. 😏
In my honest opinion I don’t agree that newer MH games are purely better than older ones. 3 best in my opinion would be World, 3U, and FU in that order for me.
I think you can actually split MH in 3 generation. First is MH to MHFU, second is MHTri to MHGU, and third is World to now. FU is the best of the first gen, 3U is the best of second gen, and World is the best of modern.
I 100 percent get that and the idea of three generations makes sense. I think monster hunter similar to FF feel different enough that people's favorites will be different.
My first Mh was generations , for me its still the best i played , i played world, 4u,3u and im about to get rise, im very excited to get it

I got it for the Xbox. Runs super smooth!

I think the Rampages should have been expanded upon. More stages, more modifiers, more turrets, more different types of challenges, etc.
Yes! More weapons and stages would have done wonders.
Maybe we get something simular to Rampage Quest in Wilds, that Hord of Goss Harag like Monsters in the trailer look like a new type of Rampage Quest to me.

It's low in content being the first game. Easier to beat than the other games. Relax child, I've been gaming probably longer than you've been alive. 😂😂😂
@@UltimateChance child, yeah I'm 31 years old, I been playing monster hunter for far longer than you, and I can tell you with confidence that you ain't clearing the first game in a week, I played that game back in the day when internet access wasn't a thing, the game came out in 2004, I played it in 2005, there was no RUclips to pride guides or explain to you how to gather materials,mine ores or craft weapons,or any of that let alone hunting monsters and learning their weaknesses, and there is also the fact that you unlock a whole bunch of monsters as bonuses quests, so yeah you definitely didn't finish the game in one week
Maybe check my channel and look at how long and how many games I used to clear in 2006-2010. Upward of 80+ games a year. 40 hours to beat monster hunter was 100 percent possible. Maybe 60-80 to hit most other stuff. Did I get every weapon and armor? No. But main game and most extras can easily be beaten in under 80 hour. Main game can be beaten in a week. Compared to something like tri and games after there's just more content.
I never understand why people hop online with that negativity.
