my mom made a copy cat verson of the birthday party set!!! she did an amazing job. wish i could go back in time....i still love american girl. now my 8 year old daughter is inheriting slowly, my dolls and everything i collected growing up!
Growing up, I had a friend who was Chinese and got the Chinese Girl of Today doll and it was her mom who introduced my mom, and of course, me to American Girl. American Girl has been such a big part of my life, and though I'm almost a grown adult, I still love going to the AG store and seeing all the dolls and playing with them in the store. I think I have that Rock Climbing Outfit.
So... I may or may not have sought out a video looking through a catalog of this era so I could track down the name of the "Weekend Baking Outfit" 😅. I wanted that outfit SO BAD back then and never got it. I may have to find one used somewhere. Also, I had the light skin, brown hair, green eyes American Girl Today in the Go Anywhere Outfit! It was a great outfit because you could use the different pieces with pieces of other outfits. There was a lot of potential with all those pieces.
omg i have a lot of bitty baby stuff from this catalog & i remember the hopscotch hill books! this was so nostalgic

This catalogue was after my time, and it's so fascinating to see what they were like during this era! I enjoyed this a lot. ❤

@@AGLoriJess Yes, I'll have to do that! 😊
The oldest that I have is 1992 and the youngest is 2006 give or take. Two from the 90’s, one 2000 and 2001 and three from 2002.
Your walk through of the catalogue is the best I have heard. You take your time and you share your opinion. I love it.
Thank you so much! I was a bit worried i was too talkative! Thank you for letting me know
