2 things I want to mention 👇 #1: If you spend more than you make, it doesn’t matter how much you make… you’ll always be broke #2: You can absolutely keep your job. There’s no shame in having a job WHILE making music professionally. If time allows, do it. There’s no shame in it. Love you guys ❤
Was referred to your channel by Trad Baylor, came to this video from your talk about why an over-emphasis on mixing is ruining songs. Dude, you are so full of great information that I needed to hear. Thank you for uploading, immediately subbed.
One major problem we had was finding the line between friend and fan, and then taking it personally when we didn't get the support we wanted, it was frustrating to see our friends view a post of us talking about our music and then not engage. This was honestly the main thing that had us like "fuck marketing ourselves on social media". Thtd prolly make a good video, it fasho goes hand in hand with your "wgy are artists so sensitive video"
You are sugar coating it... Musicians are broke for 2 reasons.. Nr1: Their music is shit Nr2: The label riding them dry with that shitty income they getting. Every producer today has a PHD in everything today, look at YT and search something like "How to sound design" or "How to produce a song with Ableton" , you will be overthrown with 100 and 1000's of videos, the next guy acting more clever than the previous....but none of them know shit. The guys on top don't care about big mouths at the bottom. The only reason they are here is to get paid by YT.....If their teachings were true, they would have been way further. You will NEVER find world renowned producers making a video on YT every week or every 2 weeks teaching others what to do and what not to do, how to use this compressor, how to use this eq....no its only the nobodies doing that, because they nee that YT money
