March 2023 Public Forum topic: The Republic of India should sign the Artemis Accords.
►BIG NOTE◀
NSDA changed the topic wording from ‘ratify’ to ‘sign’ after this lecture was finished. The essential content of this lecture doesn’t change-but Aff loses ground as ‘sign’ is less serious & less binding than ‘ratify’. Again, I’m happy to join the wording committee if anyone knows someone.

6:15 I don't think Europe is a country xD
Do you think it would work well if you used the ambiguity argument for con and then argue about India's leverage on conflicts such as the Ukraine conflict?
India has decent military and economic influence (necklace of diamonds), but it'd be hard to prove 1. That that influence extends to Ukraine (Modi told Putin to stop; he didn't) and 2. that signing Artemis would significantly cut into its influence (Indias is both allies with the US and has some pull with Russia in the status quo)
From the NSDA Website: (Making it Official): Resolved: The Republic of India should sign the Artemis Accords.
Based on a recommendation from the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, a change to the wording of the March Public Forum topic was made on February 6, 2023, to replace the word “ratify” with “sign.” This adjustment better implies that the Artemis Accords are not legally binding. Thank you for your flexibility, and good luck in your preparations!
Really like your content buddy i was searching chance of india signing Artemis accord. mining of helium 3 needed for better nuclear fusion best chance we have bcoz we don't putting so much resource in our space program for now this accord help us to learn
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, Helium 3 has some potential, but not in the short or perhaps even medium term. We're several decades away from using those plants on earth, if it ever happens.
Finally india join Artemis accord 🇺🇲🇮🇳
