Monteverde 🇨🇷 Costa Rica 4K | Ziplining and Hanging Bridges | Part 8

Monteverde & Santa Elena Reserve.
This fairytale cloud forest of Monteverde can be discovered on fairly well-maintained trails. Located almost 180 km northwest of the capital San José inland, the diversity of species is particularly high there due to the different altitudes.
Nature and landscape in Monteverde.
Several rivers have their source here, striving towards the Pacific or the Caribbean coast: The continental divide runs right through this famous and correspondingly heavily visited cloud forest - the rainfall here is so high that almost all trees have moss and senile beards (epiphytes) and huge ferns in their shadows thrive.
The neighboring, slightly smaller Santa Elena Conservation Area is less frequented by visitors. Here you can get very close to the tops of the giant trees on a lot of suspension bridges or on a wire rope. This Ziplining experience we did at Selvatura Adventure Park and it is totally worth it.
