She was lookin' for the love I hope she'll find,
Well I'd trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday,
Holdin' Bobby's body close to mine.
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose,
And nothin' left was all she left to me,
Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues,
And buddy, that was good enough for me.
Good enough for me and Bobby McGee.
This is so sweet. And yes, a brilliantly written song. 2nd best lyric: “Nothin’ ain’t worth nothin, but it’s free…” 😊
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
Rita Coolidge, what a goddess!!
Rita Coolidge was REALLY hot back in those days as she still is today.
“ If you could only see me now” is one on my favorites by Kris & Rita. A beautiful song.
Yep, I still have a rather large black & white poster of them singing together, standing closely together. A very great "duet couple" and loved the "them." And was able to love them separately, as well. Both, really good. Kris is the one I've had more to listen to from him though. Thanks!
Loved them both. This era of country music is my favorite..Rita. ..a most beautiful young woman. Kris. Sexy dude.. thanks ❤❤
RIP Kris 😢. Freedom is just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin', don't mean nothin' hon' if it ain't free.
Gosh I miss those days...of real pure talent..
Saw them. One of the best concerts I ever attended.
In this Moment I think about that where they both had the roots from.........WOW, what a story
