The original Nystedt piece is already other-worldly, but this arrangement with strings takes it one step further. First heard a recording on Spotify and took a chance to see if there happened to be a live video as well. Talk about the magic of the internet. Kudos to Grete Pedersen and the excellent (as always) Norwegian Soloists' Choir. The world needs more more videos like this -- now more than ever.

I hope I ever have the chance to listen to this piece live again. I remember the first and only time. They asked us to close our eyes. It really felt like one was floating in the air.

I have been having a very tough few weeks, and I had a difficult time finding an emotional release. This video brought me to tears and it was like a valve being opened. I can't believe how beautiful this was. I don't even know how to describe how I felt during this.

The way in which the conductor thickens the low tones in particular with the use of the bass instruments is phenomenal in this Bach performance

I don't understand why the editor chose to green screen Grete in front of the musicians - why?

Hi! The singers and musicians are actually standing in a circle around conductor Grete Pedersen, but we get your point with the green screen :)

세속적인 협화음을 넘어서는 해방된 음들... 천국의 빛 속에 잠긴 바흐를 보고 있습니다.
