    where do those rules comes from? theres so many songs that dont use this stuff.

      These are from classical music theory. I’ve recently revised them to accommodate modern diatonic progression. shedthemusic.com/diatonic-chord-progressions-2

      There are lots of great places in the wilderness but you will find a road map useful in getting closer to them.

      Michael not in particular. It was a ii-V-I with an alteration on the V and a walking bass line. I’m sure those voicings with that rhythms has been used on a few songs though.
