I bought a jaguar x type 2.0 D on monday,and ive done nothing but harrasss audi and bmw drivers,i can say i agree with him,they are not slow,tho mine has only done 103,000miles.
I've got a 55 plate immaculate 2.0d with just 60K miles. The X Type is hugely underrated, obviously there are the generic Mondeo jibes about the X Type but the diesel adds another aspect to this. They have their foibles such as the electric boot mechanism , no folding rear seats on some and doors can be difficult to open in winter but overall they're good cars if looked after. The diesel has an irritating awkward auxiliary belt that drives the power steering and water pump, it costs about £15 but if it goes, the steering instantly goes rock hard and the engine temperature starts to soar immediately. Mine snapped and tangled up. I'd recommend getting it done as a matter of course, the labour is only about twenty minutes.

Good little film, one minor problem for me. Hard to hear the commentary over the road noise, any way of making it better.
Yes when weather gets better i will be doing a better video using a microphone with better camera angles.
Having had jags and a mondeo these are nothing like real jags and drives very much like a ford ...great economy ...helps save up for the £500 dual mass that will definitely fail ..just bought one and wish i hadnt
Nothing will drive like the original JAG JAG like xj6 xjs etc but these come close, definitely not a mondeo. Old Cars need to know what you are doing if you buy one of these or you will pay through the nose for repairs.
