My biggest concern with this movie was that the cameos would be for the sake of nostalgia and jingling keys, but it actually worked so well for the narrative
Deadpool & Wolverine is delightful entertainment. An over the top spectacle, a marvellous rollercoaster but an endearing experience that focuses on character and emotion when it needs to. The script keeps a fine balance between humour and drama. It never feels like it’s leaning too far to one side. There’s jokes and gags aplenty, with Reynolds delivering his best performance yet as the “merc with the mouth.” Ryan’s respect and passion for the source material pays off in spades. It’s testament to his dedication to the role because Deadpool finally evolves past the wisecracks and into something more tangible and sympathetic. He’s still Deadpool but he’s all grown up and he’s back with a new companion in wolverine. If I had doubts about Jackman returning to the role, all concerns are effectively dismissed. This is perhaps his best performance, outshining his performance in Logan by a small margin. Jackman is magnificent here adding depth and nuance to wolverine with such distinction, it has to be seen, to be believed. The oddball bromance between these two is the central focus of the film, both carrying the narrative with finesse. It’s clear this film was made with compassion and dignity because the film has heart. The emphasis on making Wade and Logan two broken, dysfunctional men, both on a path of redemption, both heroes at their core, is what makes Deadpool & Wolverine a classic entry in the superhero genre . It’s pure unadulterated fun, that packs many surprises, is hyper-violent, stylistically glorious but most importantly it’s emotionally driven. The film does enough to keep a smile on your face throughout its runtime. Deadpool and wolverine reminds us that comicbook movies can be fun and poignant at the same time, in my opinion that’s the best kind. Go see it. You’ll have a great time.

I have a question about Deadpool, and I'd be really curious to hear what straight men feel about it: is Deadpool actually fruity or just a jokester? Because he spends a good portion of this movie making jokes about having queer hanky-panky, but when I've suggested that he *is* queer (pan in the comics), I've gotten a lot of pushback from men. Why is that?
He is canonically pan in the comics and the movies just haven't outright said it for some reason, but that man is a whole fruit basket. People must be blind to argue against it
@@upsetstudios1819 He hides behind his very snappy and sexual humor his actual feelings and emotions, he likes to throw people off, especially when fighting them, he's been this way she his incarnation in the comics, decades ago, and always will be, he's naturally just different, funny, and as a straight guy, I find it hilarious, pansexual or not, he prefers and will always love an extremely attractive woman who catches his heart, (aka Vanessa), in my opinion, haha. 🤷🏾♂️😆
The reason why this Wolverine is so depressed and doesn't care anymore is because he not only let down the X-Men but he went into Berserker Wolverine and killed anything and everything and when he finally calmed down he realized how much damage he had done. So he killed innocent he killed guilty he killed everyone in Berserker rage
Kinda spoilers (not really) This movie didn't bring back the MCU. If anything, it brought back the old fox movies and paid reverance to those movies. It kinda agreed with the audience saying that the mcu is trash after end game
i haven't seen any X-Men movies, but i did see the 90s animated series, and to see Channing Tatum's Gambit looking like he came straight from the show was fucking awesome and i really want to see a Gambit movie now
This was a true comic book based movie it didn't feel like normal marvel I seriously felt like I watched a movie based on deadpool & wolverine redeems the fox marvel universe. Marvel can't top this
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. This movie made me so happy and it's lived rent free in my head. I cheered, I got emotional, I laughed. This is my movie of 2024. Objectively, Dune Part 2 is the best. But in terms of what stuck to me long after seeing it and this is that. This is popcorn fluff at times and I smiled the whole way
I think you hit the nail on the head. It may not be the best movie of the year, but it's absolutely my favorite. Nothing has resonated with me so far like this one
I sadly can’t watch your video, as I haven’t seen the movie, and considering his excited you sounded, I really need to see it before I get any spoilers. Ps: I’m certain you did an amazing job, keep up the good work
on the "didn't ruin Logan" point, there's also one more point. First off, as you said, it doesn't really upend the emotional gravitas of the ending of Logan, you can still enjoy it and pretend Deadpool is fanfiction. Second, People who are angry that they essentially brought back Wolverine from the dead apparently have never read a comic book. Characters are killed off and brought back all the time, the main "issue" in this movie is comic accurate.
I liked this movie, but one small thing that bothered me was that if Wolverine was the anchor being in Deadpool's universe and his death is what's causing it to decay, shouldn't that universe be able to survive another 5 years? Deadpool & Wolverine takes place in 2024 and Logan takes place in 2029, so the Wolverine in that universe is still very much alive.
Yeah I was thinking about that after too, bc you’re totally right, but the fox x-men timeline is so complicated that I don’t even try and figure it out at this point
@@WholeShebangYT You also got to keep in mind that Deadpool have the remote so loud in the freely move throughout like the timeline and or dimensions. So technically everything is still fine. But I do get what you guys mean though
@@SpectacularMarioBros. very entertaining, but if I think too much about it my brain melts. The storytelling wasn’t good at all, but the surprises and spectacle made up for it
8/10 for cameos and respect for old franchises alone. And Deadpool with Wolverine were very fun duo. As for plotline I don't see much problem, beyond anchor thing and how in the hell could Blade not be an anchor in his respective timeline. However .. I think I understand now how to look at whole 'anchor' thing and I find it .. touching what happened to Blade here. You can tell this movie was made with love and care for these characters. All of them. And that's precious. You don't get this that often in Hollywood, even with cameos. And these were NOT mere cameos too .. which I am grateful for.
My biggest problem with the movie was how X23 is just another cameo character, it doesn’t even make sense that she’s in the limbo world when she should be in the same universe as deadpoold. I understand it would be creatively challenging to have her be with deadpool since the beginning but how about have her see deadpool digging the grave, have like one quick scene together, but immediately TVA shows up and prunes her, so that she can show up later in the movie.
I just pretend that she’s from ANOTHER universe that happened the exact same way as Logan except it was pruned to keep myself from going insane theorizing how any of this works
It was so good... omg when Logan put his mask on, while like a prayer is playing.... chefs fn kiss! The whole theater erupted into cheer... so good! Let's fn gooooo!
Great review! I also wished there were some flashbacks of the carnage Wolverine unleashed that turned the world against him. It was really confusing trying to piece that together during the film. They never explicitly say what he did, so all the "What I did" talk didn't hit as hard as it should've. I honestly thought he just got drunk and the X-men happened to get slaughtered by humans while he was at the bar. I eventually figured out Wolverine killed a shitload of humans in retaliation. lol I also would've liked to have seen more backstory for Casandra Nova, especially given her connection to Xavier. Her character was much cooler than expected. That said, I fucking loved this movie. 9/10
I like the first Deadpool movie but the second Deadpool movie was a little underwhelming for me I didn't care for the fat boy with fire powers and all of that I did like cable but this Deadpool Wolverine movie is by far the best Deadpool movie ever, this one was actually super fantastic
Funny enough, days after the movie, we actually find out that Ryan and the rest wanted to make the movie about 3 hours long with a lot of Logan-centered scene on his life before the X-men got killed, like the X-men Origins-esque WWII scene where he kills German soldiers but Disney executives prevented that. Now there's a big discussion with adding those scenes back in the director's cut or at least release them online which Disney is still saying NO
it was really sick in 4DX period like everything was amazing getting sprayed with blood (water) during fights and the seats moving and it snowed in the beggining but tbh one of the coolest was when they did the uncanny x-men shot when he’s being crucified on the X it was raining in the theater and man idk it was just so epic lol
I don't know if I remember correctly but I'm pretty sure that crying one of Deadpool was just bait for Deadpool to follow along with the TVA's plan??? But also reference to Thor dark world. Something made a theory that it's also in a way referencing Doctor strange. Since Deadpool the idea of is that he might be experiencing that as a dream of a Deadpool variant experiencing that in some way I don't know but it was a very interesting theory.
You can watch that fight technically. There was an animated movie from mid 2000s that covers the wolverine vs hulk storyline. It's beautifully violent and deadpool is a minor character as well
@dannyrank123 I've seen that movie, and it's great, but I do wish we could have gotten a live action fight in the movie, but probably because of the budget, they just had to teaser it, but hopefully they'll be a live action Hulk vs Wolverine movie one day.
You've got that backward when talking about Cassandra Nova. It was not Charles trying to kill her in the womb it was her trying to strangle Charles in the womb with the umbilical cord
Oh damn I didn’t even realize I misspoke, thank you for pointing that out! I was probably thinking how Charles had to defend himself from that and got it all mixed up
Dude I thought I was the only one who actually liked it, I watched it with some of my family and my friends and all of them except my best friend hated it, tbh I absolutely love it
I mean no offence, but you gotta look into adopting yourself into new family and making new friends. Seriously, I didn't watch anything of Fox except logan and the deadpool movies, but I can say I loved the odes to the Fox era. I even recognized Elektra and Blade ffs!
Controversial hot take, this was the only time I liked Wolverine in movies. I love Hugh Jackman but when he started as Wolverine in the X-Men movies I thought he was too pretty, too unencumbered emotionally, and the black leather costume was lame. The last movie, Logan, I thought was too derivative; I felt it blatantly ripped off the tone and story beats of Children of Men and it’s yet another sad-sack “life has been hard and now my powers are failing” superhero story which had already been done half a dozen times. The Wolverine in this movie was pitch-perfect, I felt Jackman had aged into the role, didn’t have the bizarre and inconsistent baggage of 9 previous “tragic backstory” movies, and felt like the writers actually understood the task of portraying the character with a fresh restart. Loved it.
Incredibly controversial hot take here and I don’t agree with all of it but I gotta respect it, I do def agree tho that this is my favorite version of the character he’s played. It’s nice to see a clean slate where he can just be THE Wolverine
Not only they've brought wolverine, they brought a prime wolverine with this one and its weird seeing logan you may think hugh is actually done playing to this wearing the iconic costume together with the mask my goodness
What I loved about the cameos was that they were repping each of their own universes inside fox and not inside fox with Wolverine and X-23 for fox x-men. Johnny for F4, Elecktra for the DD and her movie tie in (I never saw hers, but saw DD) Gambit to see a comic accurate Gambit to honor how hard Channing fought to get his movie, I'm not a Channing fan but bless Ryan for giving the man his dream and letting Channing do what Channing does, that bro is seriously funny. Then our man Blade just yes took my bestie who is a Blade girlie through and through. It was spoiled for me, so I rushed her to the theatre asap so it wouldn't be spoiled for her. She went through all the emotions ending with her just silently crying from joy. She never though he would never show up as Blade again short of that one scene WWditS tv series XDDD If I had money I would go again, also in my part of the world we got no popcorn buckets and I'm gutted. I live in the middle of the south island in NZ T___T but I wasn't gunna jump on a plane to Sydney for a popcorn bucket (which is my 2nd home) but if I can't afford a second ticket rn I can't afford a flight lol
Saw it in theaters Saturday and then on RUclips Monday night before it got taken down Tuesday morning. Mr Paradox’s motivation is weak, how does he plan on getting away with his scheme and for how long? Also the reason they eventually reveal for this Logan being the “worst Wolverine” in the multiverse is sooooooo underwhelming. And the 4 Purged heroes fight vs like 60 purged bad guys at the end was unbelievable
Ryan didn't played himself in The adam project movie. His character was serious but also brave and kind. He was really good in that film and the message about family too! I recomand it!
I just watched it today in 3d English and it was amazing even tho i haven’t watched anything before like any of the xmen or deadpools movie but i used to watch them in spiderman cartoons and watched their videos recaps and it was enough and i didn’t feel i missed anything
Never thought i'd be happy to go see an MCU movie post No Way Home. But hot damn this movie was awesome.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And what an MCU debut for Wolverine and Deadpool
Personally, I don't like deadpool that much, I don't think he's funny and / or relatable, BUT this movie was 100% FUN! [SPOILER ALERT] My favorite cameo in the movie was Johnny Storm, Blade and X-23. I also loved the Wolverine vs. Hulk bit, that was cool.
Also I'm going to give a shout out to the action because holy hell this movie is so well directed. The fight choreography and action set pieces feel not just ripped out of a comic book they feel ripped out of like the kingsman movies or something. Like god damn.
I thought they were good too. I sort of suspected Wesley to one lending his experiance on that. He was the one organizing fight scenes in Blade's in past.
I saw this movie 3 weeks ago in cinema and it was great! Fun action scenes, good humor, excellent music, funny cameos and everyone had a role in the story, Cassandra was intimidating and had cool powers. I had a fantastic time with the movie! My only issue is Vanessa braking up with Wade. Why she did it? She was ready to have a family with him then suddenly leave him? That doesn't make sense 🤨I was also dissapointed that Domino wasn't here! She could be as a cameo when Wade celebrate his birthday. Wonder why she wasn't here! The rest was fun! It's a 8|10 and i will definitely rewatch it again!
I get it it is a Deadpool film first and foremost, so he didn't get the full backstory..... But that just leaves it open to explore more for future movies hopefully fingers crossed. Like does he still suffer from nightmares, maybe his newest nightmares is from what he did?
I think there's a lot of people not giving it a chance, because it is under Disney now..... I'm watching it to support my favorite actor, my favorite character..... And give it a nice last for Fox. I think a lot of people are boycotting it and not even giving it a chance. I think a lot of people are just jaded.
I didn't rank the Deadpool movies in the video, but I would say that it goes

Loved it. Loved it.
Best review I've come across on this movie 💯
You're so right to put Chris Evans as your fav cameo
Whenever Gambit spoke, the "My name Jeff" scene played in my head on repeat.
Great review man

Welcome aboard!
I sadly can’t watch your video, as I haven’t seen the movie, and considering his excited you sounded, I really need to see it before I get any spoilers.
Ps: I’m certain you did an amazing job, keep up the good work
Thank you, I hope you’re able to see it soon!
If they do more story's like this i may watch again because i was smiling for once watching a marvel movie since endgame.
on the "didn't ruin Logan" point, there's also one more point.
I saw it Friday and im still feeling what you’re feeling right now
I liked this movie, but one small thing that bothered me was that if Wolverine was the anchor being in Deadpool's universe and his death is what's causing it to decay, shouldn't that universe be able to survive another 5 years? Deadpool & Wolverine takes place in 2024 and Logan takes place in 2029, so the Wolverine in that universe is still very much alive.
Yeah I was thinking about that after too, bc you’re totally right, but the fox x-men timeline is so complicated that I don’t even try and figure it out at this point
@@WholeShebangYT
You also got to keep in mind that Deadpool have the remote so loud in the freely move throughout like the timeline and or dimensions. So technically everything is still fine. But I do get what you guys mean though
Also remember that they had a thousand years or so but paradox wanted to make it die out quicker
This movie was worth the hype. This movie was a 10 out of 10 in my opinion how do you guys feel about the film?
@@WholeShebangYT I thought that's what we were meant to understand when we saw her.
It was so good... omg when Logan put his mask on, while like a prayer is playing.... chefs fn kiss! The whole theater erupted into cheer... so good! Let's fn gooooo!
I won’t be surprised if there will be Dogpool plush toys, action figures,t-shirts,mugs,key chains and other merchandise to be promoted.
I'm hopeful for a BarkBox dogpool that would be pretty cool
Yooo! You're my new fave RUclipsr! *subscribed*
I’m honored!
As a fan, this movie was so good!! This felt the most like an embrace of the comics and the old fox universe!
I won't.
Give you my weapons but I can promise you. I won't use them.
I feel like those TV agents would have rather he used his weapons.
It was so good I had to watch it twice in theaters and hear the reactions to the things I've seen
I eventually figured out Wolverine killed a shitload of humans in retaliation. lol
I also would've liked to have seen more backstory for Casandra Nova, especially given her connection to Xavier.
23:08 Waiting for him to be a Jedi/sith as well!
Now there's a big discussion with adding those scenes back in the director's cut or at least release them online which Disney is still saying NO
I really loved the violence in the fights it makes my testosterone levels go up loll 😂 but felt sad when nice pool died 😢
it was really sick in 4DX period like everything was amazing getting sprayed with blood (water) during fights and the seats moving and it snowed in the beggining but tbh one of the coolest was when they did the uncanny x-men shot when he’s being crucified on the X it was raining in the theater and man idk it was just so epic lol
"I am not as old as that first X-men film" fuck I felt that.
My bad 😭
I don't know if I remember correctly but I'm pretty sure that crying one of Deadpool was just bait for Deadpool to follow along with the TVA's plan??? But also reference to Thor dark world.
Something made a theory that it's also in a way referencing Doctor strange. Since Deadpool the idea of is that he might be experiencing that as a dream of a Deadpool variant experiencing that in some way I don't know but it was a very interesting theory.
I wish we saw more of that hulk vs wolverine fight 😒
Same, but logically speaking, they already got too many things to do with their time and budget.
@ONEPEAKFRFR Yeah, that's fair
Spolier* kinda. My favorite part was the car scene
No joke I’ve rewatched that scene at least 15 times already
Your voice sounds so much like Ryan Reynold and listening to you is like hearing Deadpool reviewing his own movie 😆
This is the greatest compliment I will ever receive
You've got that backward when talking about Cassandra Nova. It was not Charles trying to kill her in the womb it was her trying to strangle Charles in the womb with the umbilical cord
Oh damn I didn’t even realize I misspoke, thank you for pointing that out! I was probably thinking how Charles had to defend himself from that and got it all mixed up
You missed 1 Wolverine version which also happened to be my favorite, the Age of Apocalypse Wolverine.
Sooooo good
Dude I thought I was the only one who actually liked it, I watched it with some of my family and my friends and all of them except my best friend hated it, tbh I absolutely love it
I mean no offence, but you gotta look into adopting yourself into new family and making new friends. Seriously, I didn't watch anything of Fox except logan and the deadpool movies, but I can say I loved the odes to the Fox era. I even recognized Elektra and Blade ffs!
I enjoyed it a lot , I only got spoiled by only cameo so seeing certain characters was fantastic
Is was almost too great of a film. The great thing is they let the story carry the film without relying upon over the top cgi battles: characters.
Not only they've brought wolverine, they brought a prime wolverine with this one and its weird seeing logan you may think hugh is actually done playing to this wearing the iconic costume together with the mask my goodness
Great video! Subscribed!
She never though he would never show up as Blade again short of that one scene WWditS tv series XDDD
If I had money I would go again, also in my part of the world we got no popcorn buckets and I'm gutted.
That short Wolverine really made me laugh out loud. Gotta ask, did anyone see HarryPotterine?
I So Happy To See Chris Evans Back As Human Torch
Yeah, about that ... how about Karl Urban as the next Wolverine?
Ryan didn't played himself in The adam project movie. His character was serious but also brave and kind. He was really good in that film and the message about family too! I recomand it!
Basically Deadpool and Wolverine is a Final Finale of the Fox Marvel Universe 🤔
Channing Tatum as fuking gambit was insane
Never thought I’d see the day it happened
He accent was hilarious
The moment this movie is on Disney+ it’s over for me
I just watched it today in 3d English and it was amazing even tho i haven’t watched anything before like any of the xmen or deadpools movie but i used to watch them in spiderman cartoons and watched their videos recaps and it was enough and i didn’t feel i missed anything
Does anyone know why they did the Mad Max references?
Mostly just bc The Void’s aesthetic took inspiration from the Mad Max universe
At one point u said ending for Deadpool’s character, does that mean this is the last movie🥲
@@ONEPEAKFRFR i find deadpool relatable of how his trying to prove his worth
I def would rate it 8.5 out of 10 it’s really good, def could’ve done better by showing us wolverines backstory but besides that I loved it
I get it it is a Deadpool film first and foremost, so he didn't get the full backstory..... But that just leaves it open to explore more for future movies hopefully fingers crossed. Like does he still suffer from nightmares, maybe his newest nightmares is from what he did?
I think the divide in opinions on this movie is crazy, like half of everyone loves it and the other half absolutely hates it
I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS divisive it’s crazy
I think there's a lot of people not giving it a chance, because it is under Disney now..... I'm watching it to support my favorite actor, my favorite character..... And give it a nice last for Fox. I think a lot of people are boycotting it and not even giving it a chance. I think a lot of people are just jaded.
But Why is Thor Crying?
Please tell me this is a joke.
i loved this movie it was really awesome
BLADE Trinity gave the world this trilogy...
and ironically Blade Trinity is directly responsible for this very movie at it's core.
If I had a complaint I wish domino and cable showed up otherwise perfect s mad me like 3D.
Who else love the opening
It'll be on Disney+ by Nov,
For those who fear being an audience...
Why was Thor crying tho?
