I'm realizing that any of you who see me regularly might have noticed that I've got some serious 'duck lip' going on in this video...just swelling that will go away from my yearly very small touch up to even out my lips since they are very asymmetrical. I swell like crazy for a few weeks after but didn't want to wait to get you the foundation review...not keeping that look!

Thank you for being open about this. I’m 42 and considering a little lip filler, because at my age I’m really noticing how my lips are not even at all. I haven’t never had any procedures mostly due to my own fear, but I don’t see anything wrong with doing what we want with our own bodies.

I totally agree and I hate when people try to shame you for doing things that make you feel your best. I just had someone leave a nasty comment about me not being able to move my face...I don't think that's true & even if it was, I'm always very open about what I've had done. When people ask me how I look younger than my age I tell them it's both skin care and botox and fillers used judiciously...I HATE when people lie and say it's just a cream or something. That's almost never true and I want others to know what is and isn't attainable at almost 50 and how you get there if you want to! Some people are just mean & not much you can do about it but for all us nice people we can continue to share info and be supportive no matter which way you decide to go. ❣@@Hillcountry_Catholic

I had that issue of the foundation showing all of my texture issues with the last matte Makeup Forever version of this foundation. The only primer that I found that worked with it was the Mented Coametics stick balm primer. It covered up all of those texture issues, and I ended up actually liking the foundation after that. 😅 I got the mini one because I don't want to spend a lot on it. Slso, a sponge worked muxh better on it because of the texture of this foundation. I used the No.7 finishing powder on it. Thanks for the video!

I also had a similar problem with the more matte version and was hoping this one would be a bit better. I just did my first laser treatment today (ouch) so once my skin heals and is hopefully a bit smoother I may have to give it another try. I’ve never tried the mended primer but may have to go find that and give it a try too so thanks for the recommendation!

I bought this foundation and had no problem with it at all. I actually like it. It is light to medium not a full coverage which is nice as well. Sorry it didn't work out for you 😢

I’m so glad it worked for you! It’s a beautiful foundation but just not for my skin type I think. I’m keeping it to try again if I go back on Accutane and I’m really dry again though.

Just another example of “don’t believe in the hype”! I’m glad that you saved me from buying this foundation!

Exactly! I’m sure this looks nice on some skin types (like ones that don’t need foundation 😂) but if you have all the issues…yeah no. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@redgirlreviewsI would love if you could do a GRWM full face of makeup. Your makeup is NOT overly done and looks very natural. I don’t know if that makes sense but everything is blended so well and looks gorgeous!

I ❤ this foundation! Sorry it didn’t work for you. I’m 50 with combo skin. It gave me a beautiful glow without looking greasy.
Everyone is different. Get a sample!

@@belindafischer2920 I tried that one last year when I had dry skin and didn’t like it but I can’t remember for the life of me why 🧐 I returned it though so must’ve really not liked it

Well, I may be overstepping here (not about makeup - haha). May I ask where to get a sweatshirt like yours . . . in that beautiful color?

    • @redgirlreviews
      @redgirlreviews  9 месяцев назад +1

Not over stepping at all! We're all here to share our best finds in everything beauty! The sweatshirt was a Marshall's find so probably really hard to find unfortunately. I love that color too! You can try searching the brand but I don't recognize it: better/together is what it says on the tag...good luck!

You're gorgeous and I can't believe you're 48. Can you tell me what lasers you're going to use? I haven't ventured into that yet and would love some recommendations from someone experienced. Love your videos!

🥰 awe thank you! So I just had a baby Co2 yesterday. It’s my first so I’m videoing the whole progression and going to see if I can get an interview with my laser specialist to get more info for a full video to answer people’s questions. So far so good but it was a bit spicy so I’m not looking forward to doing it quarterly but maybe the results will be worth it. 😉 so far recovery is not terrible and since it’s not the full co2 I shouldn’t peel like snake for weeks 😬 just feel like I have a very road rashes face, easy to cover with makeup.

@@redgirlreviews Girl that is like the quickest reply ever. Can't wait to watch the video and start looking for something in my area. I'm doing .05 tretinoin and 20% azelaic acid at the moment while also finishing up electrolysis on my face so I'll probably wait until May to do lasers but now I have something to look for. Do you mind me asking if you've had botox or anything else done? You're skin is flawless and my 37 year old self is looking for a few people to follow. Either way love the content and will be following since our skin tones are also the same!

@@lisamills6745 😂 yep I’m chillin and scrolling before I go pick up my son so got your message right away. So yes def do Botox and a little filler here and there and also use .05 retinae along with tons of peptide serums, lactic acid light resurfacing creams on days I don’t do tretinoin and then moisturize heavily with vit c in the mornings and of course sunscreen since you know, PALE. 😂 I’ve already had skin cancer on my ear so I try to be careful. I’m putting out a really long morning routine and grwm video in the next couple days that takes you through half my skin care routine. Need to do the nighttime one still but going to take awhile to heal from the lasers first. I also added red light therapy and after several months I really noticed my sagging jowls I was filling (not very successfully) finally went away so just started on my neck too…frankly it’s all a lot but it totally works!
