My dad have the this Touareg in a boring grey, they are on point. Because my dad bought this because he is very often out visiting customers on construction sites, gravel pits and factories. It goes so well under the radar, (he says).
@@lucasmogensen8887 that's exactly what this owner is like too - he visits customers in rural industrial areas and doesn't want anything too flashy. It sounds like there's a perception to maintain in those kinds of circles
Just bought a 2021 one owner this week, came from a Lexus 2022 RX350 F Sport. Very impressed with the power and the economy. Way quieter inside and more comfortable than the Lexus, and air suspension and 4 wheel steering sure work well.
@@DaveEdmonds-n5j congratulations 🎉 they're such a great package. We found the air suspension and 4 wheel steering to be an excellent combination. You'll enjoy it for years to come
Unironically didn't even notice the subscribe and like count until the end of the video. Its simplicity was almost its big quality, and oh boy i thought you guys had more subscribers. How do you gain access to these cars already? Thought you'd need atleast a few thousand more subs for one to review such.
Thanks so much for the kind words mate! We were lucky enough to have connections for these cars - but we're constantly on the hunt for more! We've got a couple lined up already - stay tuned and thanks again for the message 👍
We're very keen to drive one (or an X5 M50D). On paper, it makes less power and torque than this Touareg - it made us wonder if any diesel engine can match this V8 TDI?
@@craigauty6756 true, that does make more power and torque. Need to drive one of those too. The 0-100 (0-62) time is slower, so I'm guessing it's the extra weight and the 6 speed transmission letting it down there
From memory the engine is very similar but not completely same as the SQ7. The 4.0 TDi on the SQ7 has an electric compressor driven by 48v to eliminate low rpm turbo lag. (Practically a 3rd turbo). The VW didn’t employ the electric compressor (due to cost?) instead they played with the cams and valves at low rpm to try and reduce the lag.

The v8 tdi was a big seller in South Africa. Good thing we get nice things .....
Yep, South Africa and New Zealand seem to get a similar range of cars! Fun fact, Rory is originally from South Africa!
Really good review for such a small Chanel
@@jonasbassermann6723 thanks for the support mate! Means a lot to us 🙏
Comparing to m550d x drive would be intresting. 3L 6cylinders and 4 turbos at 400hp and 760Nm

@kiwiGTshow yeah I heard it could make alot more than 1000NM but transmission couldn't handle it
