Today was the 50th anniversary cast reunion of the incredible television show Little House on the Prairie. They had different celebrities from the show speaking on stage, and I was lucky enough to attend the not so loved back then Nelly Olsen, Allison Arngrim was really funny on stage and I really enjoyed her story. How is she experienced the live on the big sky movie ranch when they filmed Walnut Grove

I was born in the late 70's, so I'm an 80's kid. I still know Little House because my Mom watched the reruns every day.
She is personality plus and still brisk as ever, thanks GIV🐾
If you are younger you will not understand why we like this sorry. This is for the older folks who remember this show. It was a popular show once fyi.

I met Alison at a book signing years ago. She was a funny and kond person. She was doing her Confessions of a Prairie Bitch tour.
I was a 1970s kid growing up, I loved the times when I was little and remembering as far back to 1969, even though I was born in 1966, I remember when I was 3 years old or very well close to it, my sister was born in 1969 so far me, I remember parts of 1969 because of my baby sister came home with my Mom giving birth to her.
I love Alison Arngrim more and more these days, she's a very BEAUTIFUL woman I would love to meet someday in my life because getting to old.
Alison Arngrim Mom did the voice for Darla in the "Underdog" cartoon, Norma MacMillan and she also voiced "Casper" the friendly ghost cartoon.

I decided I'd wait to watch season 2 when I could get the new blue ray release of the remastered version.

GIV I had a crush on Nellie and Mary to this day I'm a sucker for bright blue eyed girls thanks to them 😍 I watched them since the show began like you, I'm showing my age 😬 we'd watch a game show then came little house on the prairie and pop corn around 8 pm I believe, I don't remember the day of the week it aired😊it's sad good wholesome shows no longer exist 😢

Never seen such a dichotomy from character on screen versus real life person. Evil vs. fun/self deprecation. Shows what a great actress she is.
Although I loved The Ingalls Family and longed to be a part of it, Little House On The Prairie would not have been as interesting without Nelly Olsen. The Olsen Family was so flawed and funny! Laura Ingalls was mostly schooled by her mother Caroline and was kind of sheltered from strangers. Caroline wished to have her daughters enrolled in proper schools but they moved so often and sometimes to places on the frontier, schools were not always available. When Laura did go to school, although it pleased her mother, Laura did not really enjoy it. She was much happier on the homestead. Ingalls Family did not have a lot of riches but they did have a homesteader spirit and were generally happy. On the show, The Olsens epitomized a family rich in money but miserable. Money does not buy happiness! Laura met girls in real life who had more money and were kinda snooty which I am sure inspired the character of Nelly Olsen. Eventually both Nelly and Willy grew out of spoiled behavior and became nice guys then they got a new mean girl on the show. Nancy. The actor who played Nancy might be at that gathering somewhere.
