AVOID ALL iRACERS !! - Welcome all the new subscribers , Remember to subscribe for more flat pack DD girls ! For all the sim-racers that don't enjoy toxic voice chat don't worry some non iracing content is on the way
Always enjoy the vids GM, but my less fun take is you really don’t want an irating that doesn’t represent your actual speed. Better to just let your irating look after itself and find a car or two that you enjoy racing. The irating is primarily there to help match you with drivers of a similar standard to you and give you a competitive race.
I fully agree with this. I have fun racing with an irating of 1.3k. If I get faster and naturally get a higher rating then so be it, but it’s not my aim. I mainly like Iracing because it matches you with somewhat similar racers of a similar standard.
If only people paid more attention to safety rating and less to irating then iracing would be a much nicer place! Irating should be a hidden score used for matching in the background, not for people to brag about
@@craigf1tz found the guy with 800ir. Kidding, i have 1800 but i don't let it bother me at all, i know it's fairly low compared to others but i look at the lap times of people in the top split and i'm honestly happy i'm not there. I'd be getting lapped all the time.
But… IR are there for the matching… If you have farmed rating, every time you want to just do a race, because it’s fun, you always in the wrong split. A way to high split…
Try to avoid as much traffic as possible. Another good tip for those running off the pace, choose long tracks. This will prevent the fast guys from lapping you (possibly multiple times).
Irating ironically, is what ruins iracing. People become so obsessed with the irating, the fun factor is lost and enjoying the actual racing is forgotten. My tip to iracers is just race. This coming from someone with 5.5k I’ve learnt the hard way……
@DnBHARLEY Iracing is really bad for that in low splits too I'll try to draft someone in the corner just for them to SLAM on the brakes a full second early and then yell profanities at me because we wrecked The only good racing I've had is in the rookie series on oval, dirt oval, and the VW Beetle rallycross
Easy. Stick with 1 car and get really good at it. It should have a decent following but not huge like the GT3 cars for example. You want a car/series that has moderate attendance. With me, it was the HPD (no longer valid). My iRating is 5650 when I'm probably a 3500-4000 skill driver.
One tip not mentioned is racing at less populated hours. If you are somewhat on pace and get put in a split with wide talent spread it is much easier to finish in the top half and gain irating. The problem with this approach is the lower skilled drivers may be erratic at the beginning of the race but I'd you qualify well and get beyond initial madness it's a sure way to raise irating
@lavachemist sure that works in rookie and lower sof where people wreck out alot but once you get above 2k irating that won't work. Also if you start from the pits you don't really learn anything. At the end of the day I'd rather lose irating or SR and still learn something....
After 10 years, yes, 10 years on lracing, a focus on irating finally resulted in top splits in rookie and much more fun racing. This worked in both mazda and vee. You get to know the competition and sometimes those with much higher irating join in. Trading in my original momo helped too. Well produced vids, btw. You have put in a lot of work.
I have never found a clean race in any series. Especially from the last week. Now my irating is below 1k and I'm losing my a class license again cause these morons don't understand the concept of "take it easy"
Yea your right I’m gunna start running them again prob I got up to 1600 irating and I’m bout down to 1100 in a week cause of idiots I’m going back to SK modifieds I guess to get my rating back up , I have just been racing trucks , xfinity , and cup cars for about a months straight after getting it up that high now I just can’t avoid accidents
Found out just focusing on always finishing the race does wonders. A consistent top 10 finish on a populated series with many splits will almost always give a net plus on iRating.
I noticed a higher amount of iRating running during lower participation times. I run LMP3/GT4 and there was a race at 1030 PM MST and there were just 17 GT4 cars in it, no LMP3 cars. Normally there are a bunch of each. Survived, finished P6 and got +50 iR
This has been one of my biggest frustrations being new to iracing, I'm not claiming to be coming in as some master driver but I know I'm decent, I think I'm pretty good knowing the track layouts, but I always get in with people who are over aggressive, trying to win the race on the first lap, pushing too hard when they get passed when there's lots of race left, people need to chill
Interesting video, but my limited experience says that the easiest farm for SR and IR is actually the rookie MX-5 Cup. Start from the pit and have a decent pace. Unless you're terrible, you'll be top 5 easily if not on the podium. If you drive clean and keep decent pace you'll pick up SR and IR quickly. Basically the opposite of what you're saying, but it works.
Up to about 2K iRating that probably works , after 2500 irating you need to be finishing top 5 or so and will be in top split so have to race at start or you wouldn't catch up.
my irating never is an issue always going up . Its safety rating that is what makes me stop playing at times. Take today... Two races, two times someone a good ways ahead decides to just stop and turn in the middle of the track.... Literally impossible to avoid.
If you use fanaleds for your dd and pedals how would irffb work? I have irffb in background and never felt and of my changes to my cls dd made a difference. I turned irffb off it made a tremendous difference. Latest 514 driver. Should I now turn irffb back on?
Its the same , iracing is a pure hot lapping simulator , just hotlap untill you get as good time as you can and then don't race anyone and you will gain irating.
I signed up for iracing last week and just got my D-class license and my first race I did not qualify I started at the back 12th position and finished 10th and lost-42 irating and I had 0 incidents I’m just so confused why did that happen any clarification would be helpful thank you
irating is calculated mainly through placement in the qualify and the placement at the end of the race. That what he mentions is crashes, wwhich only increases the safety rating, which doesnt help much if you want a higher irating
I can confirm that LMDh @ Le Mans turned out NOT to be a farmers dream. I started out gaining 253iR in the first 3 days. Fab. However, I ended the week (just a moment ago) 205iR lower than when I started the week. Ouch!
I can vouch for the Radical and avoiding the iDickheads method. Easy to rank up with it on the Nordschleife. D to B in a week or so of after work lapping. 👍
Pick a car that is fragile so any contact from other cars will take out your competition, this USUALLY makes drivers more cautious w/ passing. Also like GM said avoid all other cars like the plague.
So you can feel bad about yourself when racing simulated cars. Generally speaking top 2 splits in iracing have better quality of racing , in reality its often only top 10 places in top split where people can drive fast and clean.
Well I can do sub 6min times on nordschleife hot lapping all day long but actually racing against other people Somehow I find really hard. 🤔 Also I really don't like open wheel cars so meh.. Might try lmp or that new hypercar class though 😏
If you want to farm iRating, you should have the pace to keep it once you farmed it. There is literally 0 point in farming iR, if you're unable to deliver the pace that goes with it. If you have the speed and enough experience, your iRating will go up naturally. What you're teaching and suggesting to people is the worst possible way to educate people about how you should gain iRating. That open wheel cars are the go to point to farm iR as well, isn't true at all either. Pick one car, pick one series for a season or two, get to know every aspect and the limit of one car and run with it. That in your case it's the F4, okay i can see that, but in all honesty, the biggest competition is in Porsche Cup and GT3, that's where the gains are and that's where you very quickly start to see who should be above 4k, and who shouldn't.
1) this video just explains how to farm ir , not that it's a good thing to do 2) the video on my channel after this explains why farming ir is pointless and why ir doesn't really do anything after 2500-3k 3) ir is also rather broken as obvously GT3 is way different from formula racing 4) GT3 and Porsche cup is for people that like driving cars that have the response of a wheel barrow filled with concrete. 5) as for who should be 4k or not it's litrally just down to who has wasted the most amount of time hot lapping and memorising inputs to have good pace not that that's unrealistic same thing happens at local go kart tracks where drivers with very limited craft have great pace simply because they have driven same place from age of 4 😆. I'm awfull at iracing as I drive from ffb + like to overdrive a bit then dile it back , I racing lacks a bunch of vital ffb forces and also massively punishes over driving , yet by just memorising a line and brake points I'm easily finishing top 4 top split all day long at donno brands hatch olton park. ( With multiple cars) AC , R3E , RF2 I'm on it right away without needing to memorize to the same level and pace is also more about ballence at the limit rather than the basic brake turn line driving. Obvously for a person to always be over 3k they are probably a semi decent SIM racer.
F3 is an absolute crash-fest at the lower tiers. Radical is ok because not many seem to drive these great cars , are low populated, so if you do well, you gain very little irating unless you win of course. There are A and B licensed drivers doing D class formula 2.0 the slowest of the open wheelers. Frankly, theres no escape, unless you win...................of course
Yah I did tons of F3 , at lower ranks if you litrally just pootle around you gain ir due to other people wrecking. Split 1-2 You have to have good pace and quali in top 3 or so or its just random wreckfest.
Lol. If I could qualify in the top 3 we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Like in all competitions, the rules are designed for the winners. Not the people who actually pay the bills. Such is life.
My biggest complaint about iRacing is most races are wreck fests. Second is the extremely poor force feedback. After installing the app I can actually drive the car at the limit. Thanks very much!
With respect GM but these videos are the problem lol like the endless videos titled "how to get out of rookie fast" which tell you too stay at the back then once they get too D or C class they have no idea how to drive around other cars and deal with the stress/adrenaline. People want to earn Iracing them pratice thats all they need to do. These suggestions imo are why we have people with 1.4ir rejoining at stupid moments or the ones who go into on pre lap before the race then once the lights go green they stay back from T1 incase there's an incident 🤣
Well no because the tips in this video are not dumb tips like do X or Y idoit thing , the tips are LEARN HOW TO HANDLE THE CAR SO YOU DONT CRASH and Drive in series where you can avoid bad drivers and cars that make it esear to avoid bad iracers , becuse the biggest way to lose IR is from getting wrecked / crashing , not from finishing in top8 which for people under 3k ir will almost always end up with ir gain.
I guess your get special GM formulas made of iron, because the ones I always get are made of paper, and any little minor touch translates immediately to total damage or reparations needed, and this is not very good for irating farming I guess..... you forgot this "minor" point when recommending racing formulas to increase your iRating...
The Radical?! Really? I lost so much IR in those! They get a lot of damage when some dives into you. Most races have only 1 quick repair and the 2nd time you’re 15min the pits and the race is over and doen goes your IR.
And then you have some nice egoRating, but will eventually realise that you are still as slow as before...There are other way more important things to focus on, if you wanna become an alien and then the iRating will come by itself if you managed to improve... :)
I checked out at 5 minutes, IR is not a system to be farmed, doing so ruins your experience. I hate to click dislike, but farming IR is terrible advice.
I can’t stand How People drive GT3 cars in Iracing.. people dive aggressively where they should not.. I believe they drive this way because there are no moderators. it’s very annoying.. you can tell many of them don’t understand motorsports..
Wait, did I just hear this right, the F3 if you wanna farm irating??? lmao. You've clearly taken something for this video James, or someone has spiked that brew to the side of you. It's an absolute clown fest at the best of times.
for people with less than 2k ir - yes litrally finishing races in f3 will gain them tons of ir , i did it myself before ir04 came out. people in top split 2500-3k ir then no f3 is death
@@Simlife101 I was gaining a ton of IR in F3 even though i was way off the pace , simply because I had irffb installed and was not wrecking even more so when i was in split 2 or 3 of F3 people litrally cannot finish the race and even when i was 2+ seconds off the pace i would gain IR just for finishing.
The system of iRacing should make sure that everybody is trying to race clean and fair, but from my experience i had much more better and cleaner races on ACC. I got punted in almost every race on iRacing, thats why i lost the motivation and i will not renew my subscribtion. And i think its very ironicaly that everybody who gives a hint how you can earn irating is telling you to avoid other racers, to not qualify and start from the back to wait for the first corner crash.
The worst iracers are the ones that cause accidents all the time and the biggest skill to gain irating up to 3k at least is simply avoiding other iracers not even winning or being in top3 , avoiding other iracers is litrally the best way to gain ir. untill you get to higher ir.
@@GamerMuscleVideos I agree somewhat with that but its not that simple, its race dependent. If i try to avoid every other car on track that means i dont move up enough in the field to earn irating. I need to do well to earn anything. If im car number 5 and i dont finish close or above that i lose irating so im not sure what you mean in a nice way because for some reason people are very touchy in your comments and take things to heart
Me.. iracing 12 yrs. now.. the license/irating system has been and still is an idiotic JOKE!!. the worst part of the system is still there and will NEVER be fixed.. we will just be sold 1,000 new tracks and cars that will be obsolete in 3 months.
for the sports cars this tips and advices unfortunatelly does NOT work. People with a low IR like to race even if they had a blue flag. They are so stupid and annoying, driving agressive and with ZERO respect with another drivers. Basically this is the truth of how every online game works =/
Idk what iracing this guy is playing. But i can run the most clean race ever and not barely finish above the last place. I literally owm a 1000hp car in real life amd can drive the wheels off it. But this game makes a 200hp car hard af to drive lol. ACC is far better in aost every way when it comes to gameplay.. graphics.. on and on. Just a shame its gt3 only... Iracing wins with variety (but thats about it. What a sham of a game. Overprice. Pathetic graphics. Its insane people pay what they want for tracks and cars. I wonr be renewing. Even if i thought it was amazing..i wouldnt play it on price of dlc alone)
iRacing does not let you push the tires or actually drive on the limit properly its halarouse how so many people give it a free pass or just don't talk about it. ACC has much more realistic tires but the sims FFB is lacking crucial detail at the limit AC is still by far the best sim for how tires work in real life along with FFB so you can actually feel where the limit is and drive on it properly just like in a real car / go kart. but yah iracing is halarouse you have to learn a super specifc weard way of driving that involves always staying under the limit.

I believe they drive this way because there are no moderators. it’s very annoying.. you can tell
many of them don’t understand motorsports..
Subscribed.
@@GamerMuscleVideos with respect not my experience at all with F3
@@Simlife101 with respect you're probably the one crashing then
@@Simlife101 I was gaining a ton of IR in F3 even though i was way off the pace , simply because I had irffb installed and was not wrecking even more so when i was in split 2 or 3 of F3 people litrally cannot finish the race and even when i was 2+ seconds off the pace i would gain IR just for finishing.
@@BodieMoto Not at all. just my experience.
Just stay away from iracing, that's the best thing to do
Well it's addictive like crystal meth once you subscribe so that's probably wise advice!
@@Daz555Daz I was an iracer in the past and i've managed to go clean, it's possible!
Or never stop playing video games .
@@EP76 Tbf for me it was the exact opposite. ACC was a catastrophe. iRacing is mainly clean
Better than Clarksons Farm, Amazon clearly picked the wrong guy
Imagine watching gamer muscle to get tips on how to gain iR 😂😂
So the worst iracers are other iracers so too gain iracing 🤣🤣🤣1:42
The worst iracers are the ones that cause accidents all the time and the biggest skill to gain irating up to 3k at least is simply avoiding other iracers not even winning or being in top3 , avoiding other iracers is litrally the best way to gain ir. untill you get to higher ir.
@@GamerMuscleVideos That was just a joke GM when you called it Iracing instead of Irating lol.
Me.. iracing 12 yrs. now.. the license/irating system has been and still is an idiotic JOKE!!.
the worst part of the system is still there and will NEVER be fixed.. we will just be sold 1,000
new tracks and cars that will be obsolete in 3 months.
That's the best way to ruin future iracing experience racing only against total monsters
y tho?
I have just quit. it is a toxic hell hole.
wait...you're not Australian?? Just kidding...just kidding....
Get orf moy land lol !!
for the sports cars this tips and advices unfortunatelly does NOT work. People with a low IR like to race even if they had a blue flag. They are so stupid and annoying, driving agressive and with ZERO respect with another drivers. Basically this is the truth of how every online game works =/
don't be a toaster and get gud
F3? 🤣
Ferrari
ACC has much more realistic tires but the sims FFB is lacking crucial detail at the limit
AC is still by far the best sim for how tires work in real life along with FFB so you can actually feel where the limit is and drive on it properly just like in a real car / go kart.
but yah iracing is halarouse you have to learn a super specifc weard way of driving that involves always staying under the limit.
People attached their identity to the iRating number but have no idea that’s just a tool for match making lol
F3. No. Just no.
Quality lip flapping
Pay2win..... FACT⚠️
This game becomes far more enjoyable once you stop giving a shit about the irating n safety rating.
