I have seen ZZ Top live many times. Every concert was a unique experience. This band knew how to put on a high quality crowd pleasing show. That sound you are loving has been the standard from this band since my old butt fell in love with them in High School. They were an established band when I got drunk one night and "discovered" this kick ass rocking band. Lighting effects and cool stage theatrics made their concerts worth every penny you paid in ticket prices.

I have always been amazed how three guys can make so much sound. If one didn’t know it, I’m sure they would never guess there are only three musicians making ALL THIS MUSIC.

Went on my first date with my wife 54 years ago this coming February. (1967) We were 15 and saw this band (known as the "Moving Sidewalks" then } @ the "Catacombs" in Houston. They opened for "Moby Grape". Later became "ZZ Top" and almost 20 years later took our daughter and son (they were 13 and 9) to the "Summit" in Houston to see them again!!! Still can't get enough even today. (By the way, we were Sophomores in High School and got married some 6 years later. Still together.)

I've been to 9 ZZ Top shows, the first being in 1984, and the most recent being two years ago, with George Thorogood & The Destroyers ("Bad To The Bone") opening. The shows are always packed, and there is definitely dancing, singing, etc., but Billy & Dusty's choreography and especially Billy's guitar playing are really the stars of the show. Billy took the Delta Blues sound and just rocked it up to 11!

I saw ZZ-Top in an arena in Lubbock, TX in 2011. Such an enormous sound coming from 3 dudes. Typically you see lots of movement on stage with rock bands but not with ZZ-top. They pretty much just stayed in one spot the whole time and would do a little synchronized dance when the grove got going between verses and the place would be electric. One of the best concerts I've ever seen, hands down.

70's era ZZ Top inhabits the funky space between John Lee Hooker and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The squeals Gibbons gets from pinching the notes in the solo brings out the songbirds whenever I play this song while hanging out in my backyard. For more from ZZ Top check out "Tush", "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide," "Cheap Sunglasses", "I Thank You", "Just Got Paid"and so many others...

ZZTOP is smooth in concert! They are true professionals on stage. I loved their encore song, they came out in full pink tuxs & pink tophats to finish up with "Sharp dressed man" They had a convayer belt they would step on and walked in sync leaning forward. Giving the illusion they walked in place in the wind. Slick threads. The experience was lots of weed & other drugs back then, 80's, 90's that is. lots of dancing in the front! Day on the green, or concert halls. Full showmen! How How How How! Glad I grew up in this Era, so much good music. 👍

Bad Ass Founder of Southern Blues Rock, ZZ Top was a Bad Ass group since the late 1970's! Seen them live & Bro? It is something you wanna be up as close as possible to get that groove and vibe. The Raw, Filthy riffs and licks of Gibbons is matched by an amazing Bass line with more power than a Jet engine! Great job!! Love the reactions of older, different Genre's.

OMG, the ZZ top live show in the 80's was insane! No one had ever seen anything like it. It was the Afterburner tour, and they had lasers and lights and mist, during a song, the lasers created a 3D hologram of the car from the video fly up over the crowd. Never seen anything like it before or since, really a one of a kind show. 10 out of 10 would go again

Welcome to the old chicken ranch, the song is based on a brothel that was well frequented by the college players, and the ad it was in was for a Mitsubishi. I delivered pizzas to Frank and helped Billy get his silver hockey pucks and 9100's for a Japan tour back in 1995.

my first zz top concert was in '76, a what a fantastic time that was! It was one thing to crank up my stereo and listen with a few friends, but totally another thing to be at a concert with 10,000 people jamming out to La Grange, Tush, blew my mind!!!! A few years later, a resurgence of zz top's music, became popular on video television with Legs, Gimme all your lovin, sharp dressed man, these guys entertained multiple generations with their music, and are even in "Back to the Future 3" with Micheal J Fox & Christopher Lloyd, that was pretty cool. To me, their music has multi generational staying power! In 2004 I believe, ZZ Top was inducted into the rock & roll Hall of Fame!

I've seen ZZ Top Live twice back to back tours; Eliminator and Afterburner.
"Small" arena 14k people Ames Iowa.
Easy Top 5 shows I have seen.
    VERY energetic and crowd pleasing.
When the crowd sang chorus to Tube Snake Boogie afterwards, Billy comment how awesome that sounded to him and the guys on stage; now, we all know bands play to the crowd, but this was genuine.
You really needed to see these shows as they played off each other with Afterburner essentially being a sequel to Eliminator.
The stage set up was the same and during the opener or soon after; the backdrop switched from the '32 Ford dashboard to the "Shuttle" dashboard.
Also; Laser tech had greatly advanced that year and that light show was most impressive.
    During "Tush" fake pieces of scaffolding and even light tech dummies fell from the rigging as just prior to the opening cords Billy exclaimed;
"Ok, enough messing around..we gonna blow the roof off this fuckin' joint!"
I join the chorus, listen to "Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "Waitin' For the Bus".
Although they are singles; at some point a rock station blended them together without any break.
(That may have originally come from a concert set)
Anyway; it is accepted that they must be played together this way, lol.

This is because while there's theoretically infinite combinations, only so many actually sound good. Especially when you talk about playing in specific styles. Leonard French on RUclips has done videos on some of the music lawsuits. He's actually a copyright lawyer. He goes over the decisions (or the plaintiff's complaints). He doesn't paraphrase the decisions/complaints, he actually brings them up on screen and goes line by line for the majority of them and explains things. At times if he thinks it's important, when an older case gets referenced, he'll bring up that case on screen as well.

Saw them some years ago; ok a long time ago in her early 70’s in Florida live. More story involved with this story. Got to meet dusty hill. Came up to my friend and I who were white stoned at the time. We shared are weed with this guy who I HAD to say to him”Damn man, you look just like dusty hill.” “ Heh man, he says I get that all the time”
We hung out for a long time when he says gotta go but I’ll be back. You’re going to be RIGHT HERE RIGHT, RIGHT HERE. Yeh man we’ll be right here.
Never saw him again, but when ZZ TOP came on and played a few songs, Dust says, “I like to dedicate this song to two my good friends from Miami” , and he pointed RIGHT AT US! Damn I couldn’t have jumped higher! What a f**kin concert. Best one I have ever been too. Damn they sound so good in person.
