I agree with Teresabox 426, your "hippy beads" are actually wooden Campfire Girl beads that we would get awarded like Girl Scouts got patches. It brings back memories of the 70's!
That flag pic and the story behind it is absolutely beautiful. I would not be able to leave it behind. Im so glad you grabbed it. You are a very caring person. Love you! Be safe on your trip! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶✌️👶✌️👶✌️👶
I think Danni was right; I have a few of those from my great grandmother with her cherished tea cups and saucers. Maybe could be used in a pinch with a chip 'n dip...
I watch you every day, you have the best thrifting site ever. I am trying to start a site like yours, I have been thrifting for 45 years plus and haven't sold any of it yet. I really like how you explain why you would buy certain items. I am subscribed to your RUclips channel. I would like to join your site, I don't know what I have to do to join. I look forward to hear from you. GOD BLESS YOU
So, the wooden recipe box with the dovetail construction- the other piece is the lid! Needs to be attached, but it could easily be done with a couple of tiny brass screws.
The bag of beads you bought are from an organization called "Camp Fire Girls" They are award beads that the kids can earn and then put on their uniforms
The beads in the baggie look like campfire girl beads from the 1970's. We used to sew them on our vest. Good to meet you in person in Phoenix. Julie from Phoenix
The ‘70s beads are Camp Fire beads. We earned them for various tasks and sewed them onto our CampFire Girl vests. I recognized them the instant you held up the bag; the red/white/blue were for citizenship, but I can’t remember the others. Makes me wonder if I still have my book and vest. Hmmm…….
Hi Danni, what a great stop! I was a little nervous in the art about your car, but i so would have picked up the flag story. I got choked up when you read it and goosebumps about his grandson. ❤❤❤
Those beads are very reminiscent of “campfire girl beads”. My best friend used to sew similar beads on the bottom of her uniform. Anyone else think so?
The flag photo was poignant and relevant fir this weekend. I think your better angels talk to you through thrift store signs. Keep doing the good work Dannikins ❤
26:30 The wooden beads are 60's-70's. They are part of a Campfire Girl's uniform. Like Girl's Scouts. I was a Campfire Girl for several years. We would earn beads for special projects or activities. After earning 10 beads. You would get a larger bead of same. Each color represented different subjects, such as brown for outdoors, green for arts, and patriotic colors for citizenship, etc. We we have a dark blue vest that we would sew the beads on. You could create any design with. I still have mine!😊
Just had to tell you. When I was a kid I belonged to Campfire Girls. Those beads you found at Goodwill were beads we earned for doing various activities. We sewed them on felt vests in individual designs. Each color bead represented a different area. Orange was home skills, yellow was business etc. My vest was ruined in a basement flood a few years ago.
The flip clocks were meant to be used as clock radios, which meant they sat next to your bed while you were trying to sleep. And unfortunately, the clocks make a tick noise every time a number flips over. EVERY TIME! It drives people nuts and they stop using them. That's why those radios were gotten rid of.
Dani I love your videos and follow you everywhere! On todays video you solved a 62 year mystery on an heirloom Japanese Tea set in my Husbands family, he was born in Okinawa while his father was stationed there and his mother gifted him with a tea set recently. The very tea set you identified today! I can’t thank you enough for helping me identify this cherished family heirloom!! Please let me know when/where I can purchase the Somayaki Soma Ware drinking cup. ❤❤❤
A little wood jewelry box that you thought was missing. Some thing was the lid you had to just turn it right side up and it would fit perfectly. You’re so funny.
AT 28.01 you mentioned a bag of envelopes of Sachet scented Magnolia , WARNING IF YOU LAY THESE DOWN ON ANYTING WOOD THEY WILL EAT THE FINISH OFF . I left a couple on my grandmothers vintage dinning table and now it needs refinishing . There is an oil in them . I was sick when I picked the envelope up and the wood finish was gone . There are certain surfaces sachets should not come in contact with, take care to read the warning on the back of the envelope before using your sachet
I think, that nice wood box was a recipe box and the loose part was its hinged lid, that had come undone. I have a similar wooden recipe box that was my Grandmother’s. 😊
When my daughter became the clothes horse in high school I had to ask her to earn some extra money babysitting or some other job. I was much too financially strapped and could not afford the fancy brands of clothing. She has since graduated college and has done well in her life.
ooooh the eels have always scared me . its so cool to see you feed one by hand!! wowee! i loved that pineapple too! really well done super cute minnie purse too glad you got that. fun finds today. we love seeing your road trip thrift shops!
Welcome to Phoenix Arizona. Home of the Snowbirds. I love Savers thrift store. We dont live far from it. I buy my yarn there. And alot of baggies that have school supplies.
I saw the vidio when you came to Phoenix, Arizona. My so and his wife to the avenues past Glandale. They had so many goodies. They had a box of picture from the 1800. Pretty ladies and men . My granddaughter bought a Picture of a pretty young woman. From those years. Had pretty hair. Lwe live in the middle of Glendale and we are surrounded by thrift stores. I mostly buy yarn of all pretty colors .i make sweaters for my two teen daughters.
I am getting a feel for the things you Really like and can’t leave behind- like the straw pumpkin. Funny about those kinds of things we just Cannot leave behind. I went to an estate sale and had a rough time leaving some Madame. Alexander small dolls behind. Such bargains. ( did get 4!!) I must get going reselling. Makes buying more fun.
That flag picture is it still available? I am a 30 year Army wife veteran. My husband spent 30 years in service and that picture has me really excited about the story. My husband and I met while we were stationed in Oklahoma and I got out to have our children and he retired from the army and is still working on post as a contractor. That picture reminds me of his service and how we have felt about his continued service.
Have you ever been to the treasure mall in Ft Mohave? If you get the chance go see “old lady Saddie” she’s my grandmother. It’s a great little mall thing!!!!
In the recap I noticed that one of the little crosses on the big cross hanging was broken. Didn’t notice it when you first picked it up off the shelf. 🙁
M. Childs didnt put their signature like that on their pieces. The older pieces have block M stamps and a two letter intital somewhere on the edge. Ive picked up quite a few of their pieces and it's unmistakable.

It also brought back wonderful memories to me from the 1950s!!

Fun video. Oh, you left behind the chip and dip metal holder! It wasn't for a cup and saucer, it WAS for the chip and dip set.
Saw that too! Was talking to Danni telling her to just take it with you!!
That was a rare find
I’m pretty sure it was a stand for a decorative plate. I have several like it for display.
I think Danni was right; I have a few of those from my great grandmother with her cherished tea cups and saucers. Maybe could be used in a pinch with a chip 'n dip...
@@karenfries170 My friend has an Indiana glass chip/dip set! That wire holder is identical to what is on her set.
The beads look like the ones I earned during my Campfire Girls days back in the 1970s. Similar to the patches earned in Girl Scouts

Your wooden hippy beadds at 41:46 might be Campfire Girl beads.
The beads are Campfire girl beads, as mentioned above. I have mine , and they are from the early 60s!
Those wooden beads in the baggie were from the “Camp fire girls”
The bag of beads you bought are from an organization called "Camp Fire Girls" They are award beads that the kids can earn and then put on their uniforms
Love the three matching ceramic pieces by MC! Great platter! Really love the flag piece, very touching...
The beads in the baggie look like campfire girl beads from the 1970's. We used to sew them on our vest. Good to meet you in person in Phoenix. Julie from Phoenix
Some of the beads are Campfire Gurls from the 50’s and 60’s
Girls😊
Those beads look like campfire beads just like the ones I have on my Indian campfire gown
I was a Camp Fire Girl too!
Me too! I put these on my dress and maybe my vest in the '70's.
Hmmm…….

You’re a wonderful person for honoring that flag Danni!! God bless you!! 😊😊❤
thrift stores in Toronto Canada have racks and racks full of saris, shawls and more. You could make drapes for your whole house in one stop.
You're in Kingman Arizona where they are known for Kingman turquoise. Hope you find some nice blue treasures. ❤
Beads are Campfire Girl beads probably from the 1960s. I have some from back in the day.
When Danni uses the words “it’s intriguing to me” you can pretty much figure she is going to buy it.
Those beads are very reminiscent of “campfire girl beads”. My best friend used to sew similar beads on the bottom of her uniform. Anyone else think so?

Good Mom! Our Children do need to learn that all things are not given. You need to learn to work hard to get those non essential things in life.

Something about those wooden beads reminds me of vintage girl scout award beads from the 1960s...
The little painted hearts/strawberries on the rope were a vintage Christmas decoration!

Yes, your eye was dead on. Kenzie purses are high-end. Great video Danni, loved it! ♥️

Yes, me too! I took mine & my daughter's beads & strung them up for my Xmas tree decorations. They're so beautiful! (With her permission, of course!)
Make some framed art pieces from the Campfire Girl beads. You could google image the beads and might find some ideas for you and Rachel to create.
Such a fun shopping trip. You always find such great treasures! Have a good time on your trip❤!
That was a neat goodwill. I love love love that picture with the flag! Cool find! On to the next goodwill….lol….safe travels!❤️🇺🇸

That was fun, Danni. Hope you had a wonderful time at the conference❤️
I Agee about the clay dog paw. I lost my German shepherd. I have her paw print with her picture and ashes in a place of honor.

The little man that fell off his base is called a "smoker" theyre made in Germany & some knock-offs made in Asia. They burn incense.
Princess House candle sconces and yes, they are from the 70's
The sconces with the gold veining are old Home Interiors - like the early 70's.
Nice to see you with your awesome friends 😊

If i like the purse i don't care if its got a name on it or not!
🎉 The wooden items at the 1910 mark are the lid and the base of a recipe box. It just needs to be repaired at the hinge.
Dani, that cross you picked has a piece broken off on the left side.
They must have know you were coming to their shop! I have never see it so full or better items. I live in the area!
It definitely was a dip holder for the chip & dip set

Love the wooden cross
That little man that keeps falling apart is from Germany he is called a mushroom man
Or is it a rauchmann (smoke man) where you put piece of incense inside so it looks like he's smoking? If it is, he's missing his pipe.
@@brendaalexander734 It's hard to tell if mouth painted on or is a vent hole. Danni's going to have to go back and buy it now! 🤣
I have a set that has that very one.... that is a holder for the chip and dip, you just didn't get it to the right angle :)
wow Danni , you completely knocked him off of his rocker
Thank you for honoring the flag picture and the soldiers it protected. Just sad it was for sale versus being kept by family.
Id love to work at ur store that would be fun

Hi Danni, did you spot that the olive wood cross had a piece missing from one of the crosses at the top?😢
The beads in the bag were old… campfire goes earned them and then you had to sew them to your campfire girl vest .
