Right. Congress doesn’t have the balls to ever impeach and convict a president, so they want the judicial branch to do all the dirty work. Judges have absolute immunity for when they act as judges. Cops are very often protected by “qualified immunity.” These are all judicial doctrines. The legislative branch is impotent. I’m personally of the opinion that Trump has committed no crimes, or at least his crimes pale in comparison to recent and current presidents, but the way to deal with a bad president is through impeachment, not lawfare.
