Just the story difficulty makes these runs a snoozefest. I'd be a lot more interested in watching runs and possibly participating if there were difficulty level options, but as far as I can tell I can't even filter the list by difficulty. Given that, I'm assuming everyone runs on the lowest difficulty level (the WR run certainly does). An option to filter the list by difficulty would make it worthwhile to do a run on harder difficulties at least. As it is, it would be almost pointless.

Not really, the next gen update makes changes like not being able to spam rend anymore, which make the run a lot slower. Maybe i will do it once but not as a serious attempt to lower the record, that's very low on the priorities list though.
There exists a glitch that is got fixed in patch 1.07. Its called crossbow glitch: when you zoom in while aiming with crossbow, the whole world slows down except Geralt, if you are in this state during an autosave, the game will store it and afterwards when you pull out your crossbow the game still keeps that speed difference. And because the world is moving with normal speed now, you are going superfast.
This comment section is ass, the speedrun is great, out of curiosity are there any new glitches discovered in the next gen version like the crossbow glitch or do all speedrunners just run 1.06?
Thanks, there are no big glitches in next gen, although bombs have been buffed quite significantly which might make it faster than 1.32. And 1.06 is actually not that popular because its quite inconvenient to downpatch and in general a much worse game. It means without fulfilling any other criteria. Fastest way to the "end" of the game. It's called any% because you don't have to 100% everything like missions / collectables / etc.

Currently doing my speedrun of the game, 90 hours in and I just acquired the Sunstone in Skellige. Pretty solid run so far :)
