I never enjoyed any open world game in my life before, including Witcher 3 when I first tried and left after a couple hours of gameplay when I was 13 years old. I just finished 130 hours in 3 weeks by going through every quest in the main storyline. I can now say that this is the best game I have ever seen and played in my life. It is a privilege to be able to play this masterpiece.
i had a very similar experience, i used to hate all this magic and spells and monsters and dragons but lately, after i turned 24, I somhow enjoyed them more than ever, skyrim and witcher are the best game ever created
@@alvaroposada4217 after running through the Base game for the 4th time. There's a mixture of feelings. One some of the quests become really tedious and slow to tredge through again. On the other hand, this time around I have a much better grasp on the story, the world, the lore and especially the systems. Since I'm in no rush to finish the game again, I take things reeeally slow. The updates have made it that the HUD can be dynamic so the screen becomes uncluttered. So I'm noticing details in the world I didn't pay attention to at first when trying to beat the game. I'm reading every book I come across and it deepens the story so much. So playing it again at a slower pace is an amazing experience. The DLCs on top of that second playthrough are amazing! I completed Hearts of Stone once before and it really makes the game even better. Never got to or finished Blood and wine yet. My previous playthrough got deleted 😂. Sorry for the long answer but it is definitely a game you should play through again. Just take it slower this time. Breath in that world. It's amazing.
ultra lol... I agree that the visuals, the atmosphere and the storyline are incredible and very authentic.. But as a game, some of the mechanics and specifically the character control in general, are like in some sort of alpha version - totally incomplete, clunky as fuсk and they didn't even bother to fix them. The game is a solid 8/10, kid.
I bought this game in 2017, tried a few hours and felt it was not up to the hype then stopped playing it. In 2020 after being laid off, feeling I deserve a break after 15 years of hard work, I spent 6 months playing games I bought but sitting idly, gave this game another go, and finished it, now I'm still playing it, best RPG ever.
Kaer Morhem is the most melancholy area of the game, especially after the main quest is finished. What's really cool is that Keira Metz was bugged and her character stayed at the location of the funeral pyre - it made the region feel less lonely after the main quest was done and everyone was gone. I hear that bug has been fixed in the remastered version but I've not played the remaster to completion yet. I hope they didn't fix that bug.
Until I was 28, I played dozens of games, read hundreds of books and watched countless movies. What I was looking for was the same in all of them: belonging. The songs I used to listen to no longer appealed to me. Until I met Celtic music. The only world I felt like I belonged to was the Witcher Wild Hunt world. I started the Witcher game but never finished it because I didn't want it to end. I am 30 years old now and I still wander around with Geralt from time to time. This ambiance impressed me very much, I loved your video, thank you for everything. A Witcher fan...❤🩹
Does anyone know the name of Track 03? I have been looking for this specific version of Kaer Morhen for ages, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere else. The other versions of KM are great, but this one definitely hits different. I came across this version while doing the Ugly Baby quest on a recent playthrough, and it's by far my favourite version. It's equally solemn and nostalgic somehow. It really evokes sadness of days gone by. So many memories of the Witchers at KM before Geralt when it was at its prime. Now it's all crumbling down and dilapidated. Thanks for the upload!
It doesn't have a specific name. It's just a variant of the Kaer Morhen theme. As you probably noticed, lot's of TW3's music, especially the ambience songs, are flexibly arranged in 'layers'. In Kaer Morhen area for example, the layer of guitar+harp is separated from the layer of regular strings (which you like). And then there's also the layer of flute. At certain moments, layers can fade in and out, sometimes seemingly at random. What happens in this Track 03 is that we have the layer of strings play separately, while the other two layers remain silent for a while. It's the regular strings like they play in every version, but just ONLY the strings and nothing else here. I agree with you that it changes the mood into something even more amazing, especially when played alternating with the regular, complete version using all layers. I think I heard this version often when wandering outside Kaer Morhen's main gates. This same principle applies to other songs throughout the game, by the way. All masterpieces.
I played Twilight Princess in my early teens and it was my favorite Zelda game until TotK. Now they're just tied because they're so incredibly different that they stand entirely on their own for me for different reasons.
it's like listening to "come back home" songs, i feel like it's the place i should be
Witcher 3, Elder Scrolls, World of Warcraft, Fable. Finest video game orchestral music ever written.

Maybe Divinity:Original sin II too...

Don't forget Final fantasy
Don't forget Assassin's Creed 2. Jesper Kydd's work is great.

I legitimately think we all lived the same experience with this game
Wonderful scenes. And wonderful music. It's almost like "coming home". These games inspired me to create my own worlds.
Thank you so much for that. Now I can continue reading the books listening to your amazing edits.
