Tie for me. When Monty said 10 man rotations were dumb and then played 12 players before halftime the next game is when I stopped paying attention to them. The other low point is right now because everyone responsible for this season is still employed
Lowest moment as a Hornets fan: watching this Piston team beat us three straight times this season
As a kings fan who if we beat wizards and pistons etc we'd be 4th seed rn I felt that
21% of all Piston wins this year came against the Hornets 😂
Were you a Bobcats fan prior?
@@threewayhandshake712 Congrats on the win against the Dubs today though
I'm not a Piston fan, but the lowest point looked like when Cade almost burst into tears after they lost to The Salt Lake City Stars.
Losing to basically the grizzlies g league team by 15 while we had everyone healthy in early december
Lowest part of the season for me personally was the Paolo Banchero game winner when he basically took 6 steps and then the refs called the foul on Duren. A game completely robbed from us
Ausar Thompson having his rookie season cut short.
He started out the season really strong - he was never winning ROY over Wemby, but he was making a solid case thru the first quarter of the season that he was the 2nd best rookie. Then Monty forgot how to use him for like 30 straight games, and just as Ausar was starting to find the rhythm he'd had in the 1st 20ish games, he's out with blood clots.
I wish the kid all the best, and I still think he's gonna be good. But he was one of the very few bright spots for the team in a season full of new lows, and to have to see him struggle for so long because Monty couldn't find a role for him and Troy refuses to use the G-League team the way every other org in the league does to force feed reps to young, raw players who can't get them on the main roster (Troy seems to think the Cruise only exist to find and develop minutes-eater-in-blowouts 15th man players) before being robbed of the rest of his rookie season by something he had no control over snuffed the last few embers of optimism I had for the future of the team right out.
And to have it happen right as he was starting to play well again and seemed to be carving out a role (in spite of Monty's godawful sets and rotations) was just an extra twist of the knife. I'd been following the team closely all season in spite of the train wreck because I still believe these kids will be good some day, but that injury caused me to start tuning out most of the games after that. I'd have them on in the background at work still, but I stopped giving any fucks anymore.
Fuck this rebuild.
Free Cade/Ivey/Duren/Ausar
Fire everybody in the building
Sell the team and move it to Seattle
And burn the banners and piss on the ashes.
I'm out.
Isaiah Stewart getting arrested for assaulting a Suns player has definitely gotta be a low point.
nah that was a w
Yeah he didnt even execute that one redditors idea properly!
Not the lowest, but early in the season when we played Denver and Jokic (and Malone I think) got ejected in the 1st or 2nd quarter. It was early into our record losing streak and for some reason, it felt like that loss broke our spirits and helped allow us to get to 28 losses.
Something about not being able to compete with a great team without their star felt like an early tone setter for the whole season.
For me it's probably Ausar being out with health issues. Just when I thought we'd bottomed out and I could deal with it something came along that made things even worse. Things are always darkest just before it goes pitch black. But yeah, for me almost beating the Celtics to prevent the streak only to collapse at the end is the answer for me if we're talking about a GAME being the low point.
Started watching you for your Pistons content, stayed for the good insight
the jazz game without lauri during the streak
Dinvenchenzo tackling asur had to be the low point for me
I love this video. You are literally saying all the things I've said for months. How is the organization so incompetent to see this but the fans are? Agree with you 100
Edit: thanks kofie for the pistons content. It's so hard this season to make content for the team we love. Go pistons. Let's both hope for a great off season!
Oh yea lowest point for me was that grizzlies game you highlighted
I became an honorary pistons fan this year..... I spent so much time rooting for yall this year lol
Why
@davidkruse4030 seeing young promosing talent on a wasteland of an organization with no hope and a terrible front office - I have a heart lol
For me it was when Bogi came back and I realized nobody was coming to save us. Nothing could change the impending doom and then I realized if we don’t hit in this draft Cade is going to leave
Mannnn I saw people saying wait until Bogi comes back like he was KD or Bron and was gonna lift us to 50 wins
@@sullyproductions5757 yeah that was crazy. But fuck we still looked just as bad 😭😭
As a Nuggets fan, last nights loss to the spurs has been the low point of the season
bro blazed as hell
For me it was when Ausar Thompson stopped getting playing time even though he was in the race for Rookie of the year.
Kofie you gotta be smoking a fat one before every vid hahaha jk bro love the vids
I’m genuinely scared y’all will be good next year and won’t be able to enjoy a single second of it cuz you’re so shell-shocked from this season from hell. Good luck homie
nice jersey Kofie. God bless you
14:00 as a knicks fan, i gotta love that this sentiment remains with pistons fans lmao
Lowest part for me was gores arguing with the fan. Reminiscent to Dolan and the knicks. Just shows we are really the lowest of the low
Appreciate the consistent content brother. Was at the Paolo game winner Magic game and it may not have be the lowest moment but it was pretty demoralizing. Cade hitting back to back clutch buckets to tie it only to be followed by a ridiculous and 1 from Paolo who struggled all night, couldn’t believe it lol
Woo! My tweet made it into the video 🤩
Yes! Mentioned the Troy Weaver nepo pipeline! +1 point!
& another point for Mike Muscala.
But then again we are still paying Dewayne Dedmon $2.75 million this season!
RIP Detroit Pistons. Here's hoping that Gores sells the team soon so they can maybe assemble some level of competency eventually.
As a 10 win sixer fan nowinvember is something I would never wish on a franchise almost stopped watchin ball
I hope you and Jon are still friends and things between yall are still...pretty good
Monty has had one winning season without Chris Paul.
As a bulls fan for some reason it feels like we lost 67 games, love your vids super chill and calming
Also hate yall for beating us this season
Honestly lowest point was the loss after breaking the streak. Because the streak was awful, and then it was finally over. Take a deep breath. And then reality hit and it was like ‘oh right it’s not over and we still suck’
The Jazz G-league team loss for SURE
It was the Desmond Bane 49 piece for me. That was embarrassing as hell
As long as Troy Weaver decides this teams makeup were fucked. I'll go back to 2020 to answer this dumbass question.
I'm not exactly a Pistons fan but this season did give me a tipping point of frustration when everything around the "Ivey as a starter" issue came to a head. Monty being unable to recognize a good player, at season's start so his last act as coach was still all his petty treatment of Ayton in that Mavs series. I want to see young players be given a chance to succeed, to prove themselves, and while I don't know much about his time in Orleans, looking over his years in Phoenix and Detroit now, all he's done as a coach for developing talent is slam a brick wall in their face.
It was the loss to the grizzlies at home in early December for me.
I didn't really start watching every game until the football season ended, so for me it would probably be that last loss to the 10 day Memphis team, or maybe just when I realized they were shutting Cade down after like the 2nd game in a row he was sat for.
lowest point as a Knicks fan was seeing that we traided Quentin Grimes for Alex Burks (Bogdan wasn't announced yet)
I'm a big Syracuse fan and I loved Buddy when he played for us but man does not belong in the nba right now
Monte, Injuries and vets underperforming tanked our team. All of our shooting was injured to start the year. I have no idea why Wiseman got minutes.
On another note, will Ausar ever be able to shoot well enough to play on the wing with Duren? His lack of spacing will become a problem. Love his talent but having perimeter players who can't shoot is an absolute NO NO in 2024
When we were playing Killian over Ivey wasting time... and the Monty straight up lying in press conferences while we were racking up losses... Then when Ausar got hurt. When Ausar got hurt it was the nail in the coffin. But for real the lowest point logically should have been missing out on Chet or Wemby.
lowest point was blowing the lead to the celtics, that was when I knew this team had no hope in the near future.
This guy shows more restraint than any Pistons fan should, but we've sucked too long to know success. We've become the Lions at this point.
A real pissed on season
For me it's the first Blazers game where we collapsed in the 3rd Q. That's where I lost all hope.
The pistons feel like they're about a season or two from causing the second coming of the cavaliers' intervention. I'm just truly baffled at this point.
Actually, there is one other one. Ausar Thompson receives minimal minutes for the majority of the year, and when it finally seems like he is getting everything together, BLOOD CLOTS. Nothing like having our No.5 overall pick being robbed of an All-Rookie team spot by a man who didn't even draft him, then his season being ended in one of the scariest ways imaginable.
for me it's every time I see a team just stop trying and just chuck up shots, smiling the whole way. It's so hard to watch the other team's players goof around, smile, and laugh while we are getting dragged every game.
hey I have that exact same grant hill jersey!!!
I know that my highest point was seeing the Pistons win twice in DC. I got to see one of the worst NBA teams of all time win not just once, but twice in-person.
Just wait til Monte Morris comes back
🤣💀👍
Carlos Pena was traded...ironically enough to the Tigers.
Monty ISN'T why that Phoenix Suns team got to the finals. The roster was. Monty was always a not great coach. He's another Doc Rivers. He's not a Spolstra, a Nurse, a Malone, what Pop used to be (and isn't anymore). He's bad, man.
Oooh, using the Guardian as a reference: makes you proud to be British...
The Celtics loss was the worst for me
can i check "all of the above"
Yall just beat the mavs last night and helped the clippers
The craziest part of this Pistons season is that they were so close to finishing above the Wizards lol, how’d we get 2 of the worst teams ever in the same season
the knicks lose was rough they hoed tf out y’all after taking away your home game in order to help them so you guys played 42 road games and 40 home games
The celtics game was such a low point for me
Extending the losing streak by blowing a 19 point halftime lead to the Celtics. That's when I knew this wasn't just any regular bad team. This was going to be a contender for one of the worst basketball teams of the modern era. The rest of the year? Just a pure flatline. Even the wins didn't move the needle.
My lowest point was realizing Monty wasnt crazy to start Killian Hayes over Jaden Ivey. Ivey is a BUST
The other one would be that Celtics game and the blown lead. That was so horrible my mind repressed it like it repressed most of the lions 2008 season. I didnt even remember it until you brough it up.
On another note, Stephen Silas has to be banned from NBA coaching. Seems like a decent guy, but almost any franchise he is employed by will have some kind of stupid low point or just be bad despite massive talent. Nothing against you, buddy. Can't help a curse.
Algorithm comment.
It’s ok Detroit fans, the Pistons got sacrificed so the lions could rise from the ashes, u aren’t allowed to have both, one has to be the worst pro sports program in the world for the other to be solid
