I genuinely love the symbolism of Wilbur sitting down and not being fazed at a plane he is on plummeting, as everyone else is screaming, trying to wrangle him back, he is fighting to stay in the forefront, and only realizes what is happening when it is too late. Exellent portrayal of an abusive relationship. Everything is falling, crashing, burning all around you. People are trying to save you but youre fighting back because of course you are. And you only realize they were trying to help once the plane crashes. Amazing portrayel

Lovejoy has such a unique aesthetic, that I feel like they can only pull off. They are so consistent yet all their songs feel so new each time you listen to them. Such a good group 10/10 highly recommend lol
It’s not rly that unique, the Arctic Monkeys basically did this 15 years ago, and plenty of indie rock bands have done it since. It’s still rly good tho.

Ikr mark as well as the others are all extremely talented
Will's voice has really improved over the course of his songs and singing carreer. The falsetto in the chorus are done perfectly and fit so well with the overlying theme of the song. The bass and guitar's counter-melody riff sounds so nice with the distortion while the singing and drums are layed backing causing the verses to have a lot of depth. The drums are at the perfect volume where they cause the song to keep the same groove without overpowering anyone else.

@@EthernetDasCoisas it's not autotuned they did a live performance of the song three months before the release and the vocals were the same pitch. (I know you can autotuned while being live but this was before the song had been finalised so there were most likely no complete pitches for the vocals at the time.)

for years we’ve heard wilbur say that he dreamed of hearing people sing his lyrics back to him and now look where he is. he just put out one of the coolest songs/music videos i’ve ever seen and is going on a second tour in a few months. as a musician with the same dream, i’m so incredibly proud of them all.

One of the things I like most about Lovejoy are the lyrics. They can be very metaphoric, confusing and unorthodox, but they are never... unreasonable, if I had to use a word for it. They are like their own little thing, their way of sense.
It's not like when I hear "Matryoshka" or other songs that have very hidden or confusing lyrics, where I feel they seem like something random that is purposely hiding away to be found out. Lovejoy lyrics just... are. They make sense, but their own sense. When I hear a song I don't feel like the meaning is hiding away to be discovered, I feel just that I am yet to understand the sense they absolutely have and expose with no remorse. It's honestly fascinating.

It's crazy how far Will and Lovejoy have come. I started listening to Will back in the Soothouse times (sometime around 2018 I think). Will always wanted to become a rockstar and a director, and now he's killing at both! Every new Lovejoy/Wilbur song and every new music video is a delight in it's own right, and this level of variety paired with this level of quality is just astounding. Also I just love the way they place the lyrics in the music video, it really gives that touch of being trapped in something you know you have to leave but you know if you do, you'd be left with nothing at all. The end is just amazing, it's will finally realizing. Also I just adore wills voice, I remember his old videos of him singing and looking back to it just shows the improvement. I also wanna add that I just LOVE the instrumental in the background, it gives life and makes you feel what the lyrics mean. I remember those days. Crywank covers in a street or empty room just for fun hanging out. I remember when YCGMA came out I sobbed every day to those songs. Will's music and Lovejoy all together has helped me though so much and showed me how to turn my feeling and emotions into a positive expression through music and singing and song writing. If any of them ever see this I just hope they know how much they've impacted this little insignificant guy's life and helped shape me into the person I am today

The style subtly evolving and morphing as the band evolves is so fascinating. I loved how different the vibes were compared to the first EP, this one feels so much heavier in a way with all of the guitar and multiple layers of vocals. So amazing! One of the MANY things i love about Lovejoy and their lyrics, is that it doesn't feel fake. The lyrics are not created to specifically be the most relatable or popular, but what the Will and the band wants them to be! I REALLY LOVE them and this song, and im so excited for whats to come!!!

The monologue at 2:25 has to be my favorite part. Before that my thoughts were "Man, this sounds fantastic" but after that, it changed to "MAN, THIS IS FUCKING FANTASTIC" and I think there is a very clear difference there.

Best song by Lovejoy so far and I've heard all their songs! This song just has some element to it that typical music today doesn't have. I love how Lovejoy puts out music that they want to listen to and don't necessarily do it for the audience. That's what makes them special, unique, and the perfect band.
