    Omg I totally get what u mean! I also decided on a unit cause the agent was nice, patient and responsive. Unfortunately, I have to say, 70% of agents are really cold and not nice.

    Your apartment is BEAUTIFUL & AMAZING DESIGNER.
    The most part i like as "amazing designer" is not many ppl think about this is OPEN CORRIDOR (HALLWAY) ❤❤❤
    1) Open Corridor style fill of full air & natural lighs, sun & wind
    2) Most importand its safer if compare close corridor (corridor inside cover by each units apartment itself)
    Example if youre floor 20 & somehow lower floor or higher floor have FIRE you just can running to corridor to see its by eyes where the fire start at which floor.
    While NOWADAYS ALOTS OF NEW Building/Apartments because they want building the whole to not waste anything even 1 sqm2. So theyre build inner corridor styles which is cover by all room walls around.
    Ps: my english not good, hope you can understand what i say

    First unit landlord already listed $2300 and he said no, means he is not willing to negotiate. No need to press for reasons. My parents are landlords too and they tell me these kind of tenants actually no need to discuss anything at all. Later on the tenants are going to ask for this ask for that etc.

    a 431 sqft apartment asking for SGD 2000, which is USD 1480. this is too expensive compared with Seattle WA. A software engineer in Seattle makes about USD $110,000. I am wondering how much an average person in Singapore makes.

    • @elenalam
      @elenalam  3 года назад +3

      Hi! If you found your apartment through propertyguru or other property sites like me you won't have to pay the agent as the landlord will be the one paying.
      If you break the lease you can either find a replacement tenant or pay a penalty. Hope this helps! :)

      Hi! Welcome to Singapore! :) I would recommend getting a friend who is already here to help you do the physical viewing. Things like whether or not there's a construction site beside the development, whether there are pest issues (many pest traps in the unit) etc are hard to tell from the listing photos of videos.

      @elenalam  3 года назад +2

      I searched through propertyguru to find the lowest price listed for that development and marked that down by $100-200 for my first offer. But it really depends, if the unit had been on the market for some time the landlord will likely accept a lower price. Don't be afraid to quote something lower as the landlord will just give you a counteroffer if he/she is not agreeable! Hope this helps! :)

      Hi, I appreciate your concern but the best reply I can give you is to not be so quick to judge. I spoke nothing about my situation in the video. My rent is currently being funded by my savings, income from advertisements that I do and my investments. I'm fully self-sufficient and not relying on my parents or anyone else to fund this apartment or my lifestyle. I have also found a full-time job that I'll be embarking on upon graduation so I'm sure that I am able to support my lifestyle. Wouldn't have made this decision if I foresaw myself running into any financial difficulties. Cheers! Wishing you all the best in life, be open-minded! ❤️
