I love your videos. I have been watching them for a few months and want you to know how much I appreciate you. I grew up poor on a farm with 6 brothers and sisters. We ate what we grew and raised.
We never wasted anything either. I love your country homestead and would love to retire to one. But it would be a lot of hard work and as I am alone, I probably won't tackle it.
I also think you are such a beautiful woman. Your complexion is flawless. Probably in part to the rose water you make.
You and your husband seem to be quality hard working honest people. I wish there were more like you in this world.

It's so awesome to learn a new way of doing something. Mom and I got so tired of our cinnamon raisin bread coming apart we started adding the cinnamon,sugar and raisin directly to our dough when mixing it up. Then we learned to use brush beaten egg white on the dough before adding the cinnamon,sugar and raisins. It rolled up nice. Held up under slicing and toasting and now we have one more new way to try. Thank you for sharing. Your bread looked so nice with its swirl. And lol I could even smell and taste it.

This reminds me of the cinnamon raisin bread I loved having at my grandma's house. And you're right - there's something therapeutic about kneading bread. It seems to me that making bread teaches us patience. ☺

I yearn to be self-sufficient...now this is coming from a city girl who was the baby of the family and a "little princess". I have navigated life for 60+ years and for 10+ years lived in a cabin on the river on 10 acres...and loving every minute and kicking myself for not doing this long ago. I just retired so I now have time to try all the homemade recipes I've collected, learning how to raise chickens and going to try my hand at a raised garden. You are my go to "cook/teacher" to learn fundamentals and learn your techniques, like "feeding the yeast with a sprinkle of sugar and how to properly incorporate ingredients. Thank you! I love the fact that you & Dan have been together since you were kids. It's obvious that you both are very much in love & have great respect for one another. My husband passed away 14 years ago & we were married 27 years. When you have one great love you don't feel the need for another plus I have 3 daughters & grandchildren.

We moved from Arkansas almost 7 years ago to retire further south. It makes me homesick to listen to you talk about Arkansas. I have a kitchen aid for 30 years, for Christmas my husband suprised me with 600 pro. OH MY, that mixer is unbelievable. Its a beast, it can handle heavy, very large amounts. You will love the bigger mixer. ❤❤❤

Oh my goodness! I love Cinnamon Raisin Bread for breakfast. Yours looks so good and was easy to make. The top about sealing the ends before putting it in the loaf pan was appreciated.
