    I'm looking at this exact table. Bravo good sir on this review. Rock on!

    Friend of mine gave me one last year. She wanted to give it to someone that would appreciate it, and could do the service themselves. It needed a belt and the lid is marked up a little. Threw a new belt on it, and its working great so far.

    I've got this TT and I love it. I got it off of EBay and think I paid about $150 for it. I've got mine paired with a Sansui AU-505 amp with the matching TU-505 Receiver. Mine doesn't life the arm off the record very high but it does the trick. Love that it stops at the end of the album as well. My U-Turn table you need to go return the arm manually after the record which is annoying if you're in the middle of something. I'll be searching garage sales this spring for some vintage speakers to put with it as well. Can't beat the early 70s stuff from Japan. They were really trying to prove how good they were.

      It's a great table, and a great buy at $150! I may have some spare parts for this turntable, I'll check for you!

    Great overview! I purchased one cheap but when it was delivered it has absolutely no power! The LED doesn't light up. I took it my vintage repair shop and got quoted $175. Already have $150 in it and saw one online for $250. I'm thinking I'll keep this for parts and wait for a deal on ebay.

    the lamp is incandescendt not led. I bought my SR2050c in 1975 new. still works great except for the damping.

    looking at buying one of these to match my Sansui Quad receiver, do you think this table is worth about $250?

    Hello. I just got my same model TT today and I'm absolutely freaking happy. I only have one concern which is the auto lift doesn't work. How do I fix this?

    Just seen the video, i love it, and i am also a fan of Vintage Sansui. I have recently bought a SR2050C which is in quite a good condition, the only thing is that the weight was jammed. I somehow managed to get it removed from the tonearm, and now rotating easily. The only issue is that the black dial with numbers is gammed and cannot get it to rotate separatly. IS this something common with this mode, and is there a solution to it?

    • @1JGP1
      @1JGP1  3 года назад

      I haven't seen that happen...that sucks! Not sure on the solution - if I still had the table I'd try to figure it out, sorry.
      Thanks for the kind words about the video. I appreciate it.

      Heat it up with a hair dryer, not blazing hot. Work it loose and add couple drops light oil

    I'm looking for one. I got a 3060 full automatic. It's dead silent running through a AU D7 amplifier.

      How do you like the amplifier?

    • @raymiehershey1430
      @raymiehershey1430 Год назад

      It's 82 I think. Pure DC sound path, 80w per channel. Mm and mc capable. Best sounding amp I got. Lights are working, the biggest problem with old Sansui is the lights.

    • @raymiehershey1430

      Hint on sansui lights, clean the power switch.

      @@raymiehershey1430 - what did you find in respect to the relation of the dirty power switch and the lights?

    • @raymiehershey1430
      @raymiehershey1430 Год назад

      I got a t 60 tunner too. Some of the lights would go out when you turn either one on. So I unplugged it and cycled the power switch. Plug back in and the lights worked. I had to do that to the amp and the tunner. I cleaned power switches with contact cleaner, fixed it. I don't remember if I drilled a little hole to get cleaner in, like 2 years ago

    That arm should have damped cuing...the silicone oil has dried up in the piston, you can recharge it with a 500,000 CST silicon fluid and it will work smooth again. You should be able to pop that lever right into Play and the arm slowly descends. I had this very table for about 10 years...it looks fantastic, but it's from the early 1970's and was bettered by the mid-1970's as Direct Drive and Belt Drive technology got really good.

    • @1JGP1
      @1JGP1  2 года назад

      No doubt it could benefit from a thorough service. You're right about the cue mechanism; however, some of these are difficult to disassemble and service with new silicone. They certainly are extremely robust tables, lasting this long is a testament to that. Thanks for your comments!

      My dad's cuing stopped working a few years ago. I need to see if I can fix it. Just today I oiled it, but it needs a new belt and cartridge. He said he thought it was about $200 in 1973.

    • @joey1127
      @joey1127 2 года назад

      @@moniack $200 in 1973 was a fair amount of money at the time. That would be about $1,300 in today's money.

      Hi Joey. Just got the same model today. Everything works but the cue doesn't raise. Is this an easy fix? Thanks.

    • @joey1127
      @joey1127 2 года назад +1

      @@martindee5625 Well, if you are an experienced mechanical technician, for the most part, yes. You will have to disassemble the linkage from the on/off up/down control to the tonearm and clean everything, re-grease with the proper lubricants and use a good 500,000 cst silicone fluid on the arm lifter piston. It's a big job and requires some skill and delicate hands...but it can be done.
