I learnt something new. Wow. When I size down my ruler I put the tape on the straight 3” line not diagonally. Your way is so perfect. Thank you. Your bursting heart design is exquisite
I love this quilt & the fabric picks. Batiks are my favorite too & it’s always so much better for me to see a tutorial. One suggestion I’d make…. For those new to quilting, I would mention to them that the fabric be pressed. I think there is a learning curb to getting precise cuts, which in turn make more accurate blocks. Until a person really gets the hang of cutting & learning how to “feel” the fabric for wrinkles, the wrinkles can throw the fabric off skew, which can effect the cutting. Even using the factory fold can be uneven & effect the cuts. Just a suggestion from someone who struggled with accurate cuts in the beginning. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for a wonderful class! I imagine it would be OK to use a longer piece of the diagonal seam tape if you’re able to. Just thought I’d double check if there’s a potential issue I’m not thinking of. Can’t wait to make this!
Just got my kit and pattern today. I know there are directions for accuquilt cutting on the pattern, but would like about more info on using accuquilt to cut blocks instead of rotary cutting (trying to use my accuquilt more)
We are currently sold out. We are hoping to make some more. We are looking at 2-3 weeks before they are ready. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Assuming by bulky corners you mean where the seams come together, we recommend pressing the seams open to avoid bulk. Alternatively you can try to nest the seams.
@@MyGirlfriendsQuiltShoppe the pressing got tricky. I thought i had pressed to nest but after starting to sew together I ran into trouble. I had to clip some seams to press opposite. Guess I'll have to try again with a second one.
@@krismoore4400does the pattern give instructions on which directions to press your seams? I know what you mean, about clipping seams (not what I ever like to do.) If a pattern does not specify which way to press seams, I try very hard to figure it out but inevitably I get off somewhere & it’s very frustrating. I love it when a pattern has that figured out for me.
@My Girlfriends Quilt Shop @Slice of Pie Laura Poland This tutorial was so interesting - & beautiful. Two excellent teachers! I purchased the (large) “Exploding Heart” quite a while ago - haven't made it….. yet. I have purchased AccuQuit products. I would really like to find out how I may use AccuQuilt to make the cutting of these pieces more exact & in less time. I'm hopeful you will help me with that information, please. THANK YOU🫶🫶
I love the bicycle! I would love it on a tote bag!

Oh yes, absolutely you can do that. No problem at all!

Can I still get a box?
I did not see the link for the club box kit/subscription? (Forgive me if I am being denseand missing something, I am watching this video at 3:30 am.
We sold out of the quarter 1 box. We are working on getting more fabric in, so keep an eye on our website!
I made the Exploding heart quilt, are the dimensions available for the mini quilt?
Are you going to put a "notify me when available" button on your website?
We think this is a great idea. We are looking into it.
Beautiful!
i just bought the Exploding Heart pattern but want to make the mini. Is the pattern the same except the blocks are 3 inch instead of 5 inch?
I'm trying to figure this out too. Can anyone help??
How do I get the box?

Is the big quilt box still available or the pattern@@MyGirlfriendsQuiltShoppe
I've made this but had some very bulky corners. What could I have done differently to minimize this.
