Timely reminder, Kevin. The seasons are definitely changing here too, and it's time to switch over to a colder & wetter weather kit. Thanks for the ideas and the hunger pains. ;)
Thanks for showing your hot tenting fire kit. I hope you'll do more videos on the gear you bring when hot tenting. Good to see the "Sacred Bacon" again!
Glad to see the return of the sacred bacon! I've started putting ranger bands under the buttons on the lighters in my kits to keep them from accidentally discharging fuel when packed. Thanks for the video.
MWW, Are you itching for the cooler weather like I am? I appreciated your video as a reminder that those cooler days & nights are right around the corner. I liked that most of your essentials for fire fit in one zip bag...great! And thanks for sharing!
Walker you have the most badass fighter kit I've ever seen this winter I want that wood stove glowing red in a snowstorm frying up some kielbasa and some bacon and making your lentil soup you need to spend more time video taping what you're doing inside your tent when you're cooking and trying to keep warm in the coldvice token up that fire and getting that stove glowing red
Those Duroflame cubes are killer when you really need to power through some wet kindling. They saved my butt on a very wet Kentucky night in early March.
Nice fire kit, I have the dura flame squares and the orange match container. It would be interesting if they made a small version of the fire pit, so you could use it as a compact backpack stove.🤟🏻🥓🥓🥓
I love all of your videos no matter what it is about. Your adventures and reviews are the best! By the way, victorinox actually have a swiss army knife called the walker :)
Can I ask Walker, what was the name of those fire lighters (block of 4) that you had in your bag? Great kit load out, I’m going to be doing my first hot tenting this year and can’t wait. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Ant 👍
My firekit: camera film tub with lots of cotton wool compressed in (10 grams), a 20-gram travel-sized mini tin of Vaseline (40 grams total including tin), and a Light My Fire Mini with a Wazoo ceramic striker (10 grams total). Two ounces. Waterproof. Almost no pack size. Enough to last me a 2-week hike. But I don't want to sound superior I do love kit - I just don't like carrying it.
As I'm planning to do my first winter outing in the coming winter, your videos are very helpful. Big thanks! How are you preparing the cotton ball fire starters? Are you just dipping them in vaseline or is there more to it? Best greetings from Germany!
Hey Walker have you tried out the Flame stower you put it on top of your tent stove and it charges your phone are your camera batteries there $70 on Walmart.com
I love watching you hot camp in the winter! Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Me too! It's my favorite camping outing of his! ⛺😊⛺

There really isn't much that's better than sacred bacon and eggs cooked over a fire in the woods. Cool kit by the way.
