- The man who claimed he was going to sue a woman for texting during their first date has opted to call it off. Brandon Vezmar met Crystal Cruz on the dating app Bumble. He took her to see 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' at a movie theater in Austin, Texas. He claimed she was texting through the movie and he got fed up. "Maybe you can take it outside," he said he told her. "She was behaving as if it was normal," he told Inside Edition. "So much so, that I thought to myself, 'who does this?'" #InsideEdition

She handled the situation in such a poor manner. Prior to him asking for his money back, he did nothing wrong to be treated like that and I feel like she should've expected to split the bill anyway before the date. So her not obliging to give him his money back, or at least appology, shows how shallow she was. If I was in his shoes, I would first check if she's ok, and where she is. Then, I'd definitely ghost her and move on and the moment I realize that she went home, her loss. So yeah, he went way overboard there, 100%. Women in NZ pay their own way on dates, that way we don't feel obligated to stick around if the date isn't working out. I'd never agree to go and see such a boring movie anyway, or any movie at all on a first date because you can't chat and get to know the person. Lunch or coffee in a cafe is better because you can see and talk to each other and it's not too long a time. I think Chrystal was bored and not impressed, but I'd never take my phone into a movie anyway. Nor would I be texting during a date.
