Part of getting to know someone is also knowing about their past. Learning about someone’s past relationships tells you a lot about who they are and if they’ve grown from those experiences. To say you’d run from that is pretty childish.
@@micahvelli_236true but that’s something you talk about AFTER the first date. The first date is for the basic stuff about you. You just met them and you don’t know if things are going to work, so why tell intimate things when both of you could go back to being strangers?. Save the deep parts of your life for someone that deserves it, not someone you just met
@@DtripleT that’s a fair point but you can talk about your past without going too into detail. Example, youre on the first date and after some light convo a guy asks “when was your last serious relationship?” You say “it ended 8 months ago, we were together for a couple years but it didn’t work out” end of story. No one’s asking for your entire step by step, just trying to learn more about you.
@@micahvelli_236 but she didn’t do that did she? She went into detail and said her ex left her for someone 10 years younger. That’s unnecessary on the first date. Talking about your relationship history is completely different to talking about your ex. That’s what this comment was about. Some people are understandably turned off when their date talks about their ex and a perfect example of why is in this video. When she was talking to the producer she said her ex is the love of her life and her soulmate. If I was the guy and I watched this video I would’ve been fumming!! Imagine investing your time into someone that will always see their ex as the love of their life

The teasing ruined my university days... I lost the 'youth and adventure' that young people have with other young people....first time on their own, away from home influences..and free. 44 years later, I am well over that unpleasant passage of life and happily married with beautiful daughter.... but I still find this woman's remark offensive. She will have to live with that person, not you.
@@potocatepetl you're right! We all have things we look for in others, whether its charm, stability, or good looks, keeping a tidy home, or being very successful etc.
I like very intelligent, well-informed people, and it'd put me off someone if they'd never heard of something that seemed to me to be "essential". It's a value I have: about being educated & interested in the world around you;
Or if they didn't know the meaning of a word outside the basic five hundred that everyone knows.
*
But I have also found that when I meet someone who let's me know I'm lacking in some way, and in this case, even though they may appear to fancy me, and be chatting me up!, that tells me a lot about them! ❤
I do find that men who chat me up, and who let me know about some flaw they see in me --- overestimating my age, for example --- are not good conversation partners!
Teeth can be fixed. Bad personality is near impossible to change.
No pressure to get his teeth done then…. Remind him some more… jeez
More red flags than a red flag factory. Her future is cats and wine.
I feel sorry for the cats.
😂😂😂
She's got the wine bit down.
Don’t threaten her with a good time.
Cats will not choose her
She should know by her age you never, ever start banging on about your exes on a 1st date! She seems completely uninterested in kowing anything about him, poor bloke!
Yes its lazy talk.
She's compatible with someone who is driven to succeed like she is. We're compatible with our own kind. These two are just too different.
Yeah she gives politicians wife
I reckon the drunker she gets, the more attractive he'll become to her !
lol
😳🤣
Brootal
You absolutely want to avoid a woman like this. Extremely high standards when she's literally a 2/10
"Some guys find me intimidating" aka "I'm a bitch"
Yes you look like one, I can't take that away from you.
This woman is mean. Even if she's not attracted to him, she doesn't have to be a b**** about it.
She’s pissed
Clearly spends little time reflecting on her own imperfections.
she was not a bitch. she complemented him a lot and agreed to meet him again. so what if she said his teeth were horrible? they were. can you not see that, ya peasants? would you kiss him with those teeth?
No, this isn’t the most brutal date ever channel 4 if you were asking….
Commenting his teeth is just fine. Now imagine him cracking a comment about her hiding car tyres under her dress.
😆😆😆😆
Well said! 😂
Or the fact she has the face of a man
😂😂😂
😂
I am surprised he came back from the bathroom ! Run Forest Run !
What an utterly Ghastly Woman .......like a Grenade rolling around with a lost pin.
He had a very Lucky Escape!!!
When she said she had been on lots of dates and that she had been married twice; He should have looked for the fire exit !!!
Just a small point, don't think someone should drink quite so much on a first date. Getting sloshed is not a good idea. She needs to curb that.
Truth! Nor the 2nd, 3rd...
I agree
She is an adult and can please herself what she does, I would need a drink to sit with him all evening.
yep
He seemed like a good man. It hurts to give your all into still end up heartbroken, but the silver lining is you know you couldn't have done more so it's easier to move on knowing you gave it your all.
Why would people put themselves through such public humiliation , neither of them of much of a catch
I have just realised that I have been on a date locally with this woman!..All she talked about was how successful her career had been as a mortgage advisor..Bored to tears .I think she was called Caroline , lives in North Lincolnshire. She ended up going back to get ex. Daughter is a real handful and has a really poorly Mum... Real lucky escape now I look back on it
Wow might aswell give out her whole address will u, gosh
@@Silvss Really ? Did I mention the town she lived in ? No .. The woman was self centred and is now her exes problem.. A real daters nightmare
Ya her ego right off the bat was telling
That's the first thing I thought too, shes all about me me me
@@shanebryan4983you did actually write what town/suburb she was in
This wasn’t brutal at all. I think they might make it. And I’m serious-no sarcasm. Maybe I’ve just been on too many really bad dates.
Early on, he looked a little shit scared and who could blame him. Not the sweetest girl around. Good luck to him he'll need it
“I am quite compliant” 😂😂😂
Ahem…are you now?
No.
Whatever a woman says, the exact opposite is usually true.
You can only be that picky if you're perfect. You I'm afraid are most definitely not
It is not brutal to be precise about what you want in a mate. I am clearly an outlier. I love wonky, crooked, broken, missing teeth. BUT they must be very very clean!
I like a different set off teeth I hate false looking ones
i like bald men.
@@tarawalsh-arpaia3928 So do I.
@@tarawalsh-arpaia3928hello Sutton how are you. Greetings from Ireland. Your comment is good 😊. Best wishes for a happy new year 🥳 👍😊🙏 Michael
I like men with a little bit of belly pudge.
How people comment and focus on looks explains more about them than the other person. Run dude
What attracts people in the first place,...... two women standing in a bar, one slim with a bright smile, other one fat with black teeth..... does the guy say ( I am going to chat the fat woman up with the bad teeth because she might have a great personality )🙄
Erm… when’s the brutal bit? Yes she was a little full of her self, but she gave him lots of complements and actually seemed like a nice person.
Channel 4 I expect better of you!
Everyone going on about what a horrible woman she was but let's be honest, she said what you were all thinking, his teeth were f k n horrible. Everything else she said about him was complimentary. He wanted good breeding, she wanted nice teeth so get over yourselves. In fact, after all is said and done they were a good match.
Do you know his journey? No. No you don't. There are a billion and one reasons why people don't have Hollywood teeth. Being real people with real lives is one. Real teeth aren't white.
He was just as shallow, immature, vain, and deluded as she was
@@nicolataylor6011thank you. Everyone is talking about how “nice”and “sweet” he was when they were both exactly the same lol
Both were quite narcissistic, I felt
Yes I didn't like either. I don't understand people saying he seemed sweet. Right at the start he was listing all the qualities he wanted in a woman....
Alot of people are narcs these days
I’d love to meet this man he seems lovely. She is looking for something she’s not going to find .
Me too. He's physically my type too with the rugged looks and gray hair.
She wants a toy boy…he’s a real man.
Have u seen his teeth? He needs Invisalign urgently other wise it s so unpleasant esthetically to see it
@@Sky10811 teeth can be easily fixed her personality on the other hand cannot . He can do way better

In dutch your second name means side/corner or albeit spelt Kant! But your comments are spot on! He got a positive outcome!
This is just not willing to take what she doesn't deserve. Is a straight talker, I like her. And he can take it, coz he's well established and driven as well. If the foot were on the other foot, I think she'd take the advice.. Even though her ego would be a little bruised
If someone started a date with talking about their past relationships, I’m out of there in a second. A date is not the time to tell sad stories!!!
Imagine investing your time into someone that will always see their ex as the love of their life
I agree with you. But, I think this show encourages those types of conversations. I wouldn't want to tell my sob stories on a first date; I want them to see my fun/happy side.
Shallow is the first word that came to mind!
So you have never walked away from someone when not liking something about them then ?
@@irenemorley75 No I’ve never walked away because of how they looked! I’m not shallow 🤦♀️

She’s acting like she’s a 10😮
Exactly 😂😂😂😂
Heartbroken by a guy who chose physical traits over emotional but when shes asked what she's looking for it's someone with good teeth and good hair
I think they are kinda adorable together 😍🥰
I think they are miserable
yep it went from no chance to what a great match in about three sentences, he will take no shit, which is what she needs from him
I didnt like her much till i saw him,,, ugh all the people on here saying he's lovely!! hes eyeing up the waitress & ignorant af! jeez woman you can do better than this!
never dump your past on someone newly met.
Good breeding 🤦🏿♂️
her first love was her soul mate clearly not or still be together 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Sometimes in life you can’t control certain situations, you may think that someone’s your “soulmate” but really what she meant by that is he was the love of her life. We all have regrets and if we could go back in time we would all change something, 9/10 is over love to do it all over again but better.

Lol. She's not Elaine.
I have my phone fairly dim, but SHE seems to have rather shark like, brown teeth on my phone.
I am wondering n g what sheathing she is offering. Not witty, not interesting so far, not beautiful. not young and child bearing, rich? That might work best for her. A 10 year long, contracted toy boy. Allowance for tooth care.
It’ll cost upwards of 8 grand to sort your teeth out properly.
After her first comment, she will be single for a long time
He needs to not waste too much time with her. She is a selfish bore. He is a very nice guy.
Didn't he want a woman with big boobs ? both as bad as each other.
Why do these past-the-wall women think they are still 10s?
She is just not a Good Nice Person! Honestly I‘m disgusted and ashamed as a women that there Are women like this outside behaving that way
He's a sweet man. I hope he found someone worthy of his kindness.
"He's got to have hair...."... this woman is something that never gets talked of in this day and age of PC obsession... a 'baldist'. Baldism just never gets mentioned.... but many people find it a turn off and when you lose you hair very young, you get teased unmercifully. I am such, losing my hair pretty much by 20. The teasing ruined my university days... I lost the 'youth and adventure' that young people have with other young people....first time on their own, away from home influences..and free. 44 years later, I am well over that unpleasant passage of life and happily married with beautiful daughter.... but I still find this woman's remark offensive. I would have walked out on her instantly.
She wouldn’t have wanted u cos ur bald
I agree. It's such a shallow comment. Beauty is only skin deep. Having hair doesn't make you more attractive. In a way, thry were helping you out, who wants a vacuous life partner?
