Please keep these videos coming. It’s great hearing the different development paths each driver has gone through. Finding out what works and what doesn’t helps prioritising our own car builds. Awesome!
What you mentioned is actually a big part of why I love this series ha. Different cars, different philosophies, that’s what makes Time Attack so exciting to me too.
i put a IAG alloy sump kit = street series - baffle , pick-up , sump , splash plate , on my ej207 SPEC C RA STI JDM engine ! all hardware supplied and an o ring seal with a bottom drain plug = all the old oil comes out ! and an oil temp port - quality.
Sick. Thank you for deleting the hood scoop on this build. People don’t realize when you remove your top mount intercooler and go front mount the hood scoop create a high-pressure area in your engine bay. That just impedes any cool air entering through your front mount.
hmm, we have a front mount race car and didnt have any issues with the hood scoop. utilized it with a top mount oil cooler and power steering cooler. it's a vented varis hood though.
Forgive me, I'm not trying to talk smack, honest. I just see a few problems with mounting an oil cooler as the highest point in the oil system/ on top on a hot motor being the best location for an oil cooler?
People who don’t understand mechanics will think subarus are un reliable. I beat the hell out of mine daily at 400 wheel torque. My wife’s Honda egr system failed and completely trashed the motor. Our mail lady drove a jdm right hand drive legacy ej22t had 2 motors, 1,000,000 miles. I’d say that’s reliable. Every day you here it coming. She still drives it and is retired. Plus the car is a jdm gem.
Reliable for a Subaru is to length of fuse to a bomb Edit: I just got rod knock on a ej205 @ 235,000 miles, I only used Motul 300v since Ownership beginning at 130k. No doubt that a stock block can last a real long time. But a built EJ that’s constantly raced, well that’s another story...
Bruh, subarus are realiable cars, got a Gen 6 STi lasting 20 yrs already, previous owner didnt care lot about the car and treated it like trash, do your research and just maintain it the right way...
yea... and cooling is one of the big reasons why subarus fail alot when get beat on or track days and as u can see this car running a vmount and a hood to help I bet this is one of the big reasons its reliable

This car is legit , I’ve seen it run at GLTC at Gingerman. Turn-in guys were really nice to talk to as well.
I couldn’t agree more! They’re super nice and have earned a new long term customer in me
Turn in concepts know their shit. They worked on my previous sti. Great hatch btw!
Had 06 STI for 80k stage 2 can tune. Did full throttle pulls daily. Don't understand the hate on subies . Internet things I guess.
Lol stages

OMG this is the STI always park in turn in concept... Dude just get his carbon hatch, insane for sure
man I miss Gridlife.....you guys are non stop. Love it.
Scary just watching that hood just flap around by the wind being propped up
Mate! Stoked to hear one of MCM's tracks on the outro! Local Aussies even made a name for themselves in Gridlife in the states. Doing me proud boys!
I have had 12.subarus never.had a problem.it just depends on the idiots no knowing how to take care of them hahah🤣😂🤣🤣
Lol 12 Subarus? good strategy - buy another Subaru to replace the one you currently own before it breaks😂 Genius!
Big turbo on EJ motor prolongs engine life. Small turbo that makes a lot of torque at low rpms is what shortens engine life.
Really now? That's interesting where you learn this from
@@sonicallstarifycommon sense
Assuming tuned by Johnson tuning as well? He tuned my 300,xxx miles subaru and still going strong after major power mods lol
Saw the title and expected it to be K series swap
I love this series

Awesome content and thx for sharing!! Happy Holidays
Reminds me of the Roger Clark Motorsport Gobstopper 2 UK time attack race car 👍
yo have you seen the gobstopper III? it looks fucking amazing.
Could you please tell me what the wheel specs are. Width, offset and which face profile

Hatch life baby!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
600 ft lbs of torque at 4k rpm, this car is a monster.
“Reliable” Subaru😂😂😂
Reliable for a Subaru is to length of fuse to a bomb

I have a 2004 wrx sti 6years now very reliable!!!
2nd owner of a 2010 sti 120000 miles+ zero issues
@@jmendezsj because the first owner replaced the short block at 70k miles

Great vid!
Nice rig! Factory ECU?
For now. Plans to go Motec in the future.
Mike needs to give me that number LOL!
I have same motor and I can say it’s amazing and reliable believe it or not but there is 35k under my hood 😂
Impossibru.
What’s the intro song??
Interestingly there isn't a lot of 11gens on track...
Good ole race brakes ..😂
how much does this car weigh?
Around 2800 full weight no driver.
Is the driver harness mounted to the floor....
It's probably an illusion or a bad angle
The bar is right behind the seats, what you're seeing is just excess belt.
@@eric9820 that is correct. Just excess belt hanging down
Who did the engine build?
Turn in concepts in Cincinnati.
As in you can replace the headgasket in half an hour.
so cool
I like these haha🔥
Sounds like a Honda
Nah fam that’s what equal length headers in general sound like; no sound of vvt kicking on
Reliable Subaru? This is illegal outside of Japan
あなたはこれを翻訳するのに時間を無駄にしました😂
Oh man look very good but this toy not cheap 100k easy
So its so heavily modified its not a subie anymore.. thats why its reliable now... go figure.
yea... and cooling is one of the big reasons why subarus fail alot when get beat on or track days and as u can see this car running a vmount and a hood to help I bet this is one of the big reasons its reliable
