Leechmonger is weak to fire. If you switch it up to ranged damage, you can kill it from the ledge without taking a single hit. Dropping down into the swamp is the WORST thing you can do against Leechmonger. One of the easiest fights in the game.

It’s my first time playing Demon’s Souls and so far I’ve killed the first three bosses of world one, all from world two, and the fat guy from 4-1. Tower Knight was the one that gave me the most trouble. I died like 4-5 times to him. All the other bosses I killed either on my first or second try, but I pretty much just use up all my magic before I go in for melee hits because I’m a noob and I’m scared lol. Can’t wait to fight the rest of them tho I’m loving this game. Maneater x2 looks like it’s gonna be a bitch but I’ll see when I get there
"While Steve Irwin applauds you from beyond the grave" spit my coffee out lol. brilliant joke and delivery. Actually, i think this ranking has some of your best comedic delivery.
I did exactly the same thing in 4-1, what a nightmare. I did eventually win the fight and would recommend pine resin in the second half of the fight; it staggers the enemy when he tries to regenerate his health - he’ll keep rolling and if you trap him by a wall you can finish him off with no repercussions.
With all of the horror stories I’ve heard about Flamelurker being the one of the hardest souls bosses and the biggest roadblock in Demon’s Souls, I was expecting to rage more than a few times when I went to fight him for the first time. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that he could be staggered and his attacks were pretty well telegraphed. To my surprise I was able to beat him in my very first ever play through, on my very first try. Now as for Maneater....... I literally rage quit on him quite a few times. I finally beat him today though, after maybe 15 tries.
everyone's different but I can't understand why Leechmonger is number 1 for hardest.....I literally went in and killed him in about 20 seconds...with a flame weapon..just used black pine resin and did what strategy suggested which was throw a few fire spells at him and then hack him to death while circling. He just died.. it was probably the most non-boss I've ever played in any of the Soulsborne games. Struggled with Maneater and needed online help and with one other, but most bosses have been more unusual and interesting than difficult but I suppose that is because when this was made, it was unique...we hadn't played much like it before but now, having played Sekiro, Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, these bosses do seem weak in comparison. But still loved it. It made a nice change for the areas to mostly be more difficult than the bosses.
You had me laughing the whole video, amazing. Also, your voice sounds oddly similar to Bo Burnham's voice. Keep up the hilarious and informative content!
The Old Monk fight is actually meant to be played online. An actual player gets summoned to be the Monk. Also, if you do the Penetrator fight the way it was set up to be done, it's one of the easiest in the game. You aren't meant to solo it (and I am not talking about online co-op). But you can. Also, why mention the Regenerator Ring while wearing the DSS on your back, when you could have been wearing the Adjudicator's Shield on your back? Even when you don't meet the requirements, you still get the regen. And lastly, Leechmonger? WTF? He's one of the top three easiest bosses, if not the easiest in the entire game. All you need to do is use anything fire... Here's the real list, from most difficult, to least: 1. Maneaters (due to random AI that spazzes out and very bad hitboxes and an awful "arena") 2. Flamelurker (due to randomness and very bad hitboxes) 3. Allant 4. Armor Spider 5. Old Hero 6. Tower Knight 7. Old Monk (could be number one if human) 8. Penetrator 9. Astraea 10. Dirty Colossus 11. Vanguard 12. Adjudicator 13. Storm King 14. Fool's Idol 15. Leechmonger The named Black Phantoms are harder than basically every one of these bosses that are not in the top four if you fight them straight up. Although Soul Remains works on them, so they become irrelevant.
The souls games have been a breath of fresh air for me . Yes they are quite challenging , but once you learn the rules of the game you will Learn how to overcome and exploit said rules and it’s truly a rewarding experience . Or if you’re really lucky circle around em and kick em off a ledge … if there’s a ladder nearby just sprint to the ladder , wait for em to climb up to chase you and knock him off to his doom .

I've only beaten the first two bosses from each world so far, but my current ranking would go: 1. Flamelurker 2. Maneaters 3. Armour Spider 4. Leechmonger 5. Dirty Colossus 6. Fool's Idol 7. Adjudicator 8. Tower Knight 9. Old Hero 10. Phalanx Leechmonger is an awkward one to rank, because he's an absolute flannel as long as you have just a couple of black pine resins, but is an absolute pain in the arse if you don't. Even then though, Flamelurker and the Maneaters still trump him by a country mile.
Easiest to Hardest Laughable: 18. True King Allant (6-1) Easy: 17. Storm King (4-3) 16. Leechmonger (5-1) 15. Adjudicator (4-1) Requires some game knowledge: 14. Fool's Idol (3-1) 13. Phalanx (1-1) 12. Dirty Colossus (5-2) 11. Vanguard Demon (0-1/4-1) 10. Tower Knight (1-2) 9. Old Monk (Heavily debatable) (3-3) Relatively rough without cheese: 8. Armoured Spider (2-1) 7. Garl Vindland/Maiden Astrea (5-3) 6. Old Hero (4-2) Requires actual skill & patience: 5. Penetrator (1-4) 4. Dragon God (2-3) 3. Flamelurker (2-2) 2. False King Allant (1-5) Bullshit: 1. Maneater (3-2) Probably the easiest collection of bosses next to Dark Souls 1, each boss has a gimmick & you can normally figure it out. I'd rank the bosses above DS1 overall though because those designs are just great (False King, Dragon God, Penetrator, Tower Knight, Fool's Idol, etc).
Been looking forward to this. Please tell me the black phantom is in this lmao. Leechmonger is a pretty big wild card if I remember correctly, honestly I never realized he could even heal. But that might also have something to do with me going to that whole area as late as possible with a strength weapon and fire damage. Love the content as always
If you run up to the spider, turn left, and lean against the wall next to the spiders feet, it can't hit you and will just swing unity it randomly drops down. I was just laughing the entire fight.
I rember losing to lechmonger. I chose the Faith class and wanted to have more miracles early. His regeneration is real problem plus poison andimited heals. Completly agree with placement
I see a lot of people are confused about this video. The reason you are confused is because you eight sat on the other side of the room and threw a million fire bombs, or sat on the other side of the room and used magic. He chose to actually challenge himself and be good at the game. Salute
I don't have a PS5 yet, so can't confirm the following, but knowing that the Devs kept the original Ai scripts, and by the looks of it, a lot of the original map designs, I can say with near certainty that a number of the "harder" bosses can be cheesed rather humorously. ~cough~ Thief's Ring ~cough~ Flamelurker
I don't dabble in the magic but for demons souls I decided to have it as a bonus option. My build was shit so every boss was way harder then they had to be and my magic damage was basically the worst thing ever for them with the exception of leechmonger and dirty colossus. Basically it was worthless the whole game for me so I couldn't cheese fights even if I wanted to so every fight was the hardest fight because of my poor management
leachmonger just dies to fire. I've never even been in that fight long enough to see him heal because he just burns that quickly.
Wait that was actually a boss, ot died within 15 seconds for me it might as well have been a environmental hazard
tbh everything but the three Digger King bosses die to fire. Fire is OP in this game.
Other than the second area, the dragon long sword can carry you through the entire game with ease
Pretty much everything dies easily to fire except Flamelurker I'd assume. Firestorm is OP as shit.
Doesn’t even have to be fire I shot 90 arrows at him and never saw him do anything but throw leeches at a nearby cliff side.
The hardest boss in Demon's Souls is getting a Playstation 5.

9. Old Hero
10. Phalanx
Leechmonger is an awkward one to rank, because he's an absolute flannel as long as you have just a couple of black pine resins, but is an absolute pain in the arse if you don't. Even then though, Flamelurker and the Maneaters still trump him by a country mile.
Easiest to Hardest
Laughable:
18. True King Allant (6-1)
Easy:
17. Storm King (4-3)
16. Leechmonger (5-1)
15. Adjudicator (4-1)
Requires some game knowledge:
14. Fool's Idol (3-1)
13. Phalanx (1-1)
12. Dirty Colossus (5-2)
11. Vanguard Demon (0-1/4-1)
10. Tower Knight (1-2)
9. Old Monk (Heavily debatable) (3-3)
Relatively rough without cheese:
8. Armoured Spider (2-1)
7. Garl Vindland/Maiden Astrea (5-3)
6. Old Hero (4-2)
Requires actual skill & patience:
5. Penetrator (1-4)
4. Dragon God (2-3)
3. Flamelurker (2-2)
2. False King Allant (1-5)
Bullshit:
1. Maneater (3-2)
Probably the easiest collection of bosses next to Dark Souls 1, each boss has a gimmick & you can normally figure it out. I'd rank the bosses above DS1 overall though because those designs are just great (False King, Dragon God, Penetrator, Tower Knight, Fool's Idol, etc).
I barely moved from the boss fog and sniped the Leechmonger with the Lava Bow. He couldn’t do anything than regenerate, I was too high up.
Mate I had the same issue with Black Phantom SATSUKI in shrine of storms, had to have a mate help me bring him down.
Oh, i didn’t know you had to use the sword for the storm king fight 💀💀
Salute
"Leechmonger hardest boss"
Me as a mage: *uses firestorm* that was fast
Man didnt know how fast fire melts leachmonger
There it is boys. The Sunburned Albino Rom. We got it.
I was today years old when I found out leechmonger actually heals. Learn something new every day, lol.
Commentary was fkn hilarious watched the whole vid 😂
Really shows me how the souls games are different for everyone. Leechmonger being hard for some, where some could beat False Alant easily.
“Man it sucks to be blind”
Me: it really does. Without my glasses I can only see colors
Aw fuck yeah
I'm glad this popped up
I forgot about your vids lmaooo
I don't dabble in the magic but for demons souls I decided to have it as a bonus option. My build was shit so every boss was way harder then they had to be and my magic damage was basically the worst thing ever for them with the exception of leechmonger and dirty colossus. Basically it was worthless the whole game for me so I couldn't cheese fights even if I wanted to so every fight was the hardest fight because of my poor management
Why would you skip the cutscenes?
They last like a minute at most
judging by your title cards, ive always wanted to know if you were colorblind lol.
Souls games just aren't nearly as much fun without Albino commentary. I'm already excited for the Elden Ring rankings.
