      I'm sorry but you have no proof that ST uses this tuning. All we know is the lowest note is A0 in this song.

      They play as low as Double Drop g#

      @@taylor8116they pitch shift lower. Their actual tuning is drop e if I remember correctly maybe double drop e . From the tech talking about it on a Jackson guitars rig rundown but they definitely pitch shift a lot of their songs

      Double drop A is lower than Drop E, I'm not sure what you mean here?

      Yeah lol, I nearly posted in the description to begin with that you can play with drop A or standard, itll just sound a different pitch but would still be a vibe to play

      You don't hear the A0 ?

      @@didtoknan8128 at first i knew it was a lower tuning,but at the time i just assume that it was like double drop D o F

    after examining multiple live performances, I can confidently say the tuning is the normal ST tuning (EAEADGBE) tuned down to drop A (ADADGCEA)

    This is dope. What are you using to pitch shift and what amp sim you using (if you are using an amp sim!) to get such a clean tone on that low low A?

    • @taylor8116
      @taylor8116  Год назад +2

      Thanks! For the shifting I am using (I think) the mono wham on the Helix, and amps/tone wise, a bunch of stuff from STL Tonehub!

  • @Scythlex

    bruh that tuning lmao. I guess If I play it on bass its the same octave as the guitar? Else it would be 12hz lmao

    • @taylor8116
      @taylor8116  Год назад +2

      It's actually 13.75hz, which makes it fair game in my opinion (jkjk yeah I guess play the same range as guitar lol)

    • @RedLightningCreation
      @RedLightningCreation Год назад +4

      This is gonna sound awkward to explain, but bear with me.
      In pretty much all Sleep Token songs, the bass is tuned to the same octave as the guitar, but in standard instead of drop, and sometimes with a 5th string added a fourth below the 4th, if that makes sense. For example, i believe that Alkaline is tuned as follows:
      Guitar: D#1 A#1 D#2 G#2 C#3 F#3 A#3 D#4
      Bass: A#0 D#1 G#1 C#2 F#2
      Then, for Rain:
      Guitar: A0 E1 A1 D2 G2 C3 E3 A3
      Bass: E0 A0 D1 G1 C2
      E0 is ~20hz, the lowest limit of human hearing, but I don't think an E0 string on the bass is used for this song.
      So yeah, same octave, and you can follow this wacky crap if you want to be authentic. Different strokes for different folks.

    What about the ending?

    • @taylor8116
      @taylor8116  Год назад +1

      I can maybe do an ending vid too if you think it'd be useful, I just skipped in this vid cos of the intermission. Pretty sure I tabbed it out and it was maybe just the same as the second half of whats in this video, might be wrong but I think there are no differences

    Did you use any pitch shifters?

    • @taylor8116
      @taylor8116  Год назад +3

      I do, guitar is only tuned to double drop D, so down 5 for A
