@@cyntec1337 Vessel is a great singer and honestly carries the rest of the band. You can replace every other member and you wouldn't even notice. Hope I don't come as a hater or pessimist, I really, REALLY, like this band but Vessel IS Sleep Token.
@@msolano00 I respect this opinion, but I strongly believe that Sleep Token would not be nearly the same without II. That man is on another level of drumming.
@@msolano00 While Vessel stands out from the band, it would also be pretty hard to replace the energy that the whole band has, I mean just look at the bassist! When they play live, their stage presence is like no other.
Just wanted to praise not only your praying but also your excellent cinematography, the focus, camera movements, the oloring, it's just wonderful, the kind of stuff I watch on loop and on fullscreen Aha, edit: Makes sense, you're a cinematographer, and your guitars are also beautiful. I was recently put onto them and have been hooked ever since! And then to come across you covering them has been such a treat! Beautiful cover!Nick Thurl's vocals in Dark by October Ends are insane. I need to hear your take on it!
Nice cover! I have a question though, if I tune my guitar to drop c# and use an octaver to tune it down an ocatve then it's double drop c#...at that point just following the official tab will be enough, right?
Every tab I see of this song has the tuning at ADGCEA, which just seems unnaturally low for the strings (at least in the middle). Bring the A string all the way down to D? Bring the D string all the way down to G? Like wtf. This is a much more reasonable tuning. I’d love to grab tabs if available!
Stellar cover my dude, these kind of tones are what I live for ! May I ask you what camera do you use for your shots ? They are clean af ! Cheers from France
Why is it called Double Drop C# ? I get that the supposed D# is drop to C#, but I don't get the double part. I would understand the double part if your tuning was C# G# C# G# for the 4 low strings.
Yeah, it's odd to me as well. I'd call this Drop C#1, which calls out the specific octave. Others out there might call that C# G# C# G# you're saying as Open C#. I myself learned "Double Drop" to mean drop both the lowest and highest string the same interval (so if Drop C# is C# G# C# F# A# D#, Double Drop C# registers in my head as C# G# C# F# A# C#) which gets weird with 7+ string guitars or bass at all XD
Drop C#1 I agree ! You're also right about Double Drop. About "open" ... how many times did I read "Open C" for "Drop C" ? As we know Drop C is generally for CGCFAD. But Muse has at least 2 songs with that tuning: CADGBE. The low E is dropped to C ... but I will not call that Drop C. Some will. Did you watch the jackson video about Sleep Token in which the tech said the Jackson 8 MS was tuned to EAEADBGE ? He also use Bass VI kind but we don't know in which tuning. Because of the scale length, it could be for the song in "C#1". But are they drop ?
@@didtoknan8128 I'm pretty certain that all ST tracks are in some form of traditional dropped tuning, only exceptions being the funk half of The Summoning and Missing Limbs, which use E Standard tuning, ML having a capo. As for the 8MS and the Bass VI, It would not surprise me if, for simplicity, they are both in Drop E and pitch shifted per song. Their application seems to be based on if IV needs the higher strings, such as the solo in The Summoning or Gods. They use the Bass IV for Granite and Vore at least, which definitely do not use any higher than the third highest. That's all I have, my examples are not exhaustive. EDIT: Forgot to add, I do not remember the tech in the Jackson video calling out EAEADBGE specifically, i recall him saying just "Drop E", which would be EBEADGBE. No way to know for sure at this time, though. EAEADGBE would be some TesseracT inspired memery in my eyes.
@@didtoknan8128 Perhaps that's one of the "Alternate" Drop E tunings I've heard murmurs of, then. Makes me question all of the Sleep Token tabs I've been learning from that use "regular" Drop intervals...
What is your Ibanez actually tuned to? is it drop d? I'm so curious if its worth keeping a baritone in e standard/ drop d cause I want another Ibanez but this is the only good looking model to me
