Talking about empty space: I had an impressive experience. I came into my kitchen lost in thought. I had completely forgotten that I had cleaned and tidied it from top to bottom in the morning. Everything was neat, clean and aesthetically pleasing. When I entered and suddenly saw this emptiness, it was as if my mind expanded beyond my body and filled the entire room. I felt light and almost as if my soul was growing beyond me. Just for a very brief moment. I felt it physically, it was not just a thought. Since then, I have perceived order and emptiness as a place for potential to literally “unfold”.
My favourite pair of pants are my dirtiest ones. I just accidentally ruined them with pigment while painting, got mad at myself first, but now they have this special purpose, giving me the freedom to express and work freely without the constant fear of messing up my other clothes. Sometimes, when possible, it's a good way to positively repurpose things instead of throwing them away.
Thank You so much I have been wanting to clean up stuff and throw it out, it is been hard to let go of things, as if I’m throwing away a part of me. But at the same time it doesn’t make me feel good to keep it either. Wish me luck and strength to throw things out. The negative associations point is so good! I keep many material things that are negative forces in my life because I feel guilty. Maybe they were gifts, or remind me of someone I don't like, or I paid a lot of money for them. But every time I look at them, I feel bad. I will get rid of them.
Samurai Matcha-san, I threw everything away that was associated with my ex-lover. I removed pictures, gifts, compact discs, and even a backpack. Gone! I needed a clean break. 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵

What a wonderful presentation. I've been news and commercial free for 14 years. I especially liked the shoe analogy. I have a constant cycle of clean shoes every day as i spend so much time outside. My property and inside home is filled with plants and i cherish them all. A friend recently brought me 2 ferns she had neglected and offered them to me for my compost heaps. I just watered them and they are beautiful, lush and add a sparkle to the area i placed them. Bless you for your loving, positive offerings. ❤😊
When my tv broke, I didn't replace it. I have so much more time now. I actually wrote a novel and don't think I ever would have if I still had the tv. Ads made me feel like I had to have what they were selling and programs showcasing beautiful homes and beautiful people made me unhappy with my life. I don't miss the tv at all!
If you have lots of cables, and can't get rid of them, as they go to your numerous electronics, I've found bundling them tightly, either in loops or looser folds, keeps the mess to a minimum. It allows you to easily pick out which one you need in the moment, without having to detangle a pile of cords.
I have been thinking of getting rid of my Television Set for years and after watching this I finally decided to do it! I sold it to my neighbour Bertha. I can watch all of my TV shows on one of my laptops anyway! Thank you Samurai!!
After practicing what is now termed "minimalism", I did it subconsciously. Then, I realized it came from heart and mind. That said, I'm now in a new, clean, beautiful home that is ALL ME, inviting, warming, non-distracting and ME! Abrigato my friend :)
Love this! I wiped down my boots after getting to work(I listened to the video on the drive). They're beautiful boots, but the shipyard is sooooo dusty! It took 3 minutes to wipe off the pair and they're much cleaner and I feel much better wearing them. Looks like they'll need daily cleaning, just like my car(so dusty!).
Moving into a new home which was about triple the size of my previous home, ironically, is what made me appreciate empty space. My bedroom used to stress me out. I couldn't quite put my finger on why. In the process of moving, obviously, everything got packed up and put away. While we began moving things into the new house, we started with only the essentials... our bedroom had a mattress on the floor, a nightstand on either side of the bed, and one dresser. We didn't even assemble the bed frame for the mattress because there were other things we needed to prioritize. I immediately started realizing that I was getting the best sleep of my life and I couldn't quite figure out why. One day, it finally occurred to me while looking around in the bedroom... Essentially, nothing was in the room... and when there is NOTHING there, there is NOTHING to worry about. Is that thing out of place? Not relevant, the thing isn't there. Is that thing dirty? Not relevant, the thing isn't there. I realized that having less things means less things to be concerned with. Less to clean, organize, replace, maintain, etc... Obviously there is a limit to how far you can take this, but to this day, after 2 months of living in our new house, we still haven't moved anything into the bedroom and I love it.

She has, NO JOKE, probs AT LEAST 30 BOXES/BAGS of decorations (and I think I saw her order MORE) - and that's ONLY CHRISTMAS! She probs has around 60 or more, PROBS MORE, for ALL of the holidays combined! And she INSISTS on putting them up EVREY HOLIDAY! She's even (or especially) made me HATE decorating the tree more than anything! UGHHH! I wish she'd STOP! I've said when I move out that I'm only going to have MAYBE 1 box of decorations, IF THAT, and that's it! My bro is the same! They barely wanted to put up Christmas lights this year! Mom's overdecorating drives him insane, too! X'D
Excellent points, especially about the shoes and decorations. I remove the string from the hood of my hoodies. I never used them, and I prefer how they look without the string. Perhaps obsessively, if I can remove the label from any product I buy, I do that too. I will even choose products based simply on how easily I can remove the label.
Another fabulous video, Aki-sama! I'm struggling with the stuffed animal thing. I really love them, and they bring me comfort, especially when I experience anxiety or panic attacks. That and since I was young, I've assigned each of them a name and personality, so it's hard to say goodbye! I'm trying to find new homes with good people for them. I find that this makes letting them go more bearable (...no pun intended).
Thank you, I was sad that my little tree died.... I was still in the hop that it will miraculously spring back to life when I'm not looking... I feel ready to clear it out.
I stopped watching tv since 9 years now. No shows , movies coz it’s unnecessary drama and time wasting.. people find it weird about me.. but I don’t mind.. thanks for adding it in the list.
I’m curious, what do you do for entertainment on rainy days? Do you no longer watch any shows or movies, or do you watch them on your laptop? For example sometimes I like to watch a studio ghibli movie at night as it relaxes me, do you have access to such things? I’ve been moving towards less screen time and more reading in my free time, but I still love watching a good movie or playing a video game once in a blue moon
Good list, and stuffed animals certainly can multiply into too much. I visit a friend with a very cluttered two room apartment, and I enjoy her company, but so glad when it's time to leave, as it's stressful to be there.

This videonmade my day brighter. Thank you.
Kintsugi is a wonderful way to repair treasured ceramics I also highly recommend! 🤗✨
Don't put your clock stopped with empty batteries. Put a new battery in immediately. This is great step forward.
Good list, and stuffed animals certainly can multiply into too much. I visit a friend with a very cluttered two room apartment, and I enjoy her company, but so glad when it's time to leave, as it's stressful to be there.
Adoro i tuoi video! COMPLIMENTI!
Io pure❤

I call things with negative emotional connotations "emotional booby troops" because each time I come across them, I feel bad. I now get rid of any emotional boobytrap I come across. ❤
New to this channel. 🙌❤ I can't believe I've never seen Samurai Matcha. I am a minimalist but still have plants. I have a hard time getting rid of withered plants. I feel sorry for them and try to take care of them. They do make me sad every time I see them though.

I am definitely someone with minimal decorations, I hate lots of visual noise in my home. Wish I could get rid of tv but I love RUclips , maybe I can just watch less somehow, have more time for meaningful hobbies. 😀
