🥰 . . . Andy and Ted arr still my Wishbone Ash for me altho Andy has continuosly carried on live performing with different fine and awesome guitarists. . . . Benjie/Philippines. 🥰
A very influential band from the 70s probably the first duo guitar bands, playing harmony guitar solos. I saw them several times in the 70s the first time in a high School in Wheeling Illinois in 1972.
Never, ever going to occur to directors that we, the stuck behind tv viewers, would like to see as many of the members of the band at the same time is it? Drummer can be playing up a storm, but NO, we don't get to see that. Let's rather focus on one guitar player at a time, or even better still, pull the camera back to the rooftops from where all we can see are miniatures. Would love to get that job. I would revolutionise the industry.
Andy Powell's Wishbone Ash played The Rory Gallagher festival last year. Some fans were saying about Ted Turner's ex wife. Gives herself the middle name "moonchild" claimes Rory wrote Moonchild for her. Her claims got more & more bizarre. His family & close friends have never heard of the woman. Everytime I hear this track it reminds me of Ballyshannon as this was being played as we were being told. Wonder what Ted would make of it all ? Great track though.
Clive Mayuhu is the drummer, and average he ain’t! This clip was from the Night of the Guitar tour from 88-89, with other brilliant guitarists including Alvin Lee, Peter Haycock and Steve Howe!
Ted Turner...really amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible solo by Ted...

Yes, I agree with you: the guitar solo of Ted Turner in this performance is amazing!

First time I saw a PRS guitar and I haven't thought about it before, Love PRS👍👍

Laurie Westfield in the red striped shirt is a VERY good lead guitarist as Ted's replacement back in the day. IMHO.

Because of "The Night Of The Guitar" event, the original band got back together for a few albums ! 😆~

Martin Turner looks like he spent all summer on the beach in Jamaica.
And a few hours under the tanning bed.
Ted and Andy as good as ever, but without Martin's bass and vocal the song feels empty.
WHO IS THE DRUMMER HERE?
Not sure... But Average

@@johnmartino2691 Not your kind of music I expect? Came here by accident did you?
I've seen much better perfomances of this amazing song. This is not playing as they can play it. This is "lets just do the job".
To that awful drums not even a peasant will come :(
