Did anyone else think that the anime and the game would come out at around the same time and not two years apart? Having the anime appear 2 years after the game shows that CD Projekt Red has extreme confidence that the game will be a hit. Fingers crossed.
From what people said who got to play, there's low chance that the game will be bad. At worst it will be just 'okay'. They definitely expect it to be a big franchise going forward. Also, the anime will tell a different story so I doubt it will be that much affected by the outcome of the game.

I think you don't know who Trigger or the people working there are. Trigger has literally some of the most talented animators and directors in the world. Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Laggan, Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, Promare and many more are done by them , Imaishi and Yoshinari are some of the most respected people in the animation industry.
This is rather exciting. My daughter is the anime nut of the family, I told her "The Cyberpunk people are getting this company called "Trigger" to do companion anime and..." Her: "Trigger makes some epic openings and good anime!" Thanks for bringing the family closer together.
Studio Trigger is the most western like anime studio out there. So ask your daugther to watch a Trigger anime sometime. She'll appreciate it if a family member took some interest in her hobby. A few of their works are available on Netflix. Oh and KyotoAnimations has some amazing romance shows if you're into that. Just ask your daughter about it.

Well I'm a cyberpunk fan since Blade Runner and definitely target audience. but I never was into anime. I think there definitely is an overlap but the target audience is much larger.
Thankfully they're hell bent on fixing this game and by the time the next gen patch comes, the game will get positive reception and the anime tie in should be cashing in
Same here despite all the bugs and missing content (which did make me a little disappointed) I left my expectations low and ended up loving Cyberpunk 2077. I got into the ttrpg Cyberpunk RED as well. I just really hope they don’t abandon Cyberpunk and instead build upon it because the cyberpunk universe is amazing.

I remember watching this back in the day and got excited for this anime, didn't know it was gonna take 2 whole years haha but man was it worth the wait.
Actually, he's been heavily involved in the development. He was even in one of the early behind the scenes videos, saying exactly that. He's also personally stepped in and shut down a lot of the attempts at claiming the game is racist... (Made much funnier by the fact that he's a black man, and literally invented the IP.)
Okay now, we're in 2022. I wonder how this anime will go considering the events surrounding the game. Hope TRIGGER will be able to at least help the Cyberpunk franchise not to be cast aside in everyone's minds because of 2077.
if Hiroyuki Imaishi is the director of this anime then it will be a blast, his anime is not for everyone's cup of tea but his anime has one of the most epic fight scenes. I wish I can forget watching Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann because I want to watch those anime for the first time again. and for those who's excited for Cyberpunk anime, I highly recommend to watch Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann first.

there's something exciting about imagining some random person somewhere searching for something to watch. They watch this and they really like it. They wish they could be more involved in the universe and its lore somehow. Then they find out there's an entire game they can play set in this universe. Idk why but that makes me happy knowing people will experience that for the first time.
This is literally what happened to me. Just watched Edgerunners recently and fell in love with it, playing through the game right now and I'm enjoying it a lot! I heard it was a mess at launch but it's all been pretty smooth for me so far. I'm honestly kinda thankful I didn't discover it until they had finished fixing it lol
For people who don't watch anime, Studio TRIGGER is one of the best. This is nearly guaranteed to be really fucking good. If not that, then atleast look amazing.

I'm really happy that the trigger studio is doing the cyberpunk anime. They did very good animes, like Kill la Kill which is right behind them.

For people who don't watch anime, Studio TRIGGER is one of the best. This is nearly guaranteed to be really fucking good. If not that, then atleast look amazing.
