Hi. Can I plug computer headphone output to Focusrite Solo instrument input and mix it with microphone?
Do you have experience, if is possible to make "loop" that computer headphone output (background music from YT) will go to Focusrite instrument input and together with microphone it will return to the same computer via USB-C? I have Mac M1Air. Thank you.

Scarlett Solo 4th Gen actually benefits from a dedicated 'Loopback' feature that can be used to capture computer audio and record it into your recording software on separate channels alongside your connected mics or instruments. We would generally advise against creating a physical loopback using the method that you suggest, because of the potential for creating a feedback loop.

      - What kind of microphone are you using?
      - Is the Gain Halo lighting up when you use the mic?
      - Have you set the Gain level so that it is Green when the signal is at its loudest?
      - In your software, at what level is the signal from the microphone metering?

It doesn't sound like the audio interface is broken but perhaps the monitoring level needs to be increased rather than the gain.
