They have the right to keep what they purchase, it's more about respect form the student. If they don't make effort, they will fail in life, no need to waste energy in taking everyones phones.
You see that with prisoners who were locked up before age 20 and released decades later. Some would rather go back to prison, because it's the only life they know and they are comfortable in it.
can someone please tell me the name of the arches/gate at 3:08 i want to do more research on this monument i’m very interested and would like to watch videos and see more pictures of it but i do not know the name of this monument other than the fact that it is in Ulan Bator, Mongolia
I did some research, not sure if it has an official name but if you search " Gate to Genghis Khan statue" something similar to it pops up. The movie is based during WWII so I guess the years were 1945+ when they walked. Maybe the Gate was still being build that's why it looks incomplete or deserted, but it's similar to the gate to Genghis Khan statue.
IS it plausable? At the border. Read Slav's robbed tales book. But who would really go back to Stalin's USSR? As bad, maybe worse than the Nazis. Farrell was brilliant in this.
I learned Russian in the army in Monterey Ca.48 wk intensive course.Farrell picked up on that accent perfectly. Sounded like when my instructors tried to speak English. That's SOOO hard to learn.
I think he was smart enough to know that he was and always would be a criminal. And decent enough to not force himself on people outside Russia. For me, he's the most interesting one of the group.
Mongolia was Communist during WW2, these guys were fortunate that China still wasn't Communist rather it was ruled by the Nationalist Kuomintang who now ruled Taiwan today. If China happened to be Communist as well, there'd be little chance for them to pass through.
A good film to have kids in America watch. They think tyranny means having their phones taken away in class.

Well, that’s a very light way of tyranny.

Maybe some Dystopia Psychotronic Harassement will bring reality to you
A superb screen presence from saoirse Ronan so hauntingly human.
I'm looking for a clip of when they encounter a group of Steppe nomads on horseback.

Cancer Ward - Solzhenitsyn
I find it interesting they are suprised that Mongolia was also Communist. This should have been well known to the characters by 1940.
I love this movie
It's not Ulan Bator, though. Ulan Bator is a city.
great film
