This 61tn test started off wrong because the Renault 1:45 starts on a straighter part and the Man 2:17 on a slightly inclined part.
MAN accelerates much faster. dont underrev it
that's just what the auto does, and the e-tech can accelerate faster too in manual mode
although the man would probably be faster in manual mode cuz the renault doesn't have much to gain
Electric truck has faster acceleration due to less power during gear shifting
Electric motor has instant torque
The renault e tech acceleration from 1 to 20 is what makes it my favorite truck

Main Menu>Options>Controls>. On controls tab you will find Adaptive automatic transmission mode.

@@TheStigsSimcousin It holds on to a gear for longer. It revs more while driving. Useful while carrying heavy loads.

The Renault did better than I thought. One problem I always have with the incline at the Scania test centre (with a trailer) is the trailer bottoming out &/or getting stuck in a position that means my driving wheels are in the air. Despite having the Long Chassis variant my little 4x6 Scania can complete the incline...and get down the other side.

Man is still way better imo,put a 6spped on it. The E tech should be ment for light cargo and short distances so I dont get why it has a 12speed. But the most important thing is the braking at least to me.

What I didn't like about the Renault e-tech were the brakes.
I did one quick job with Renault E-Tech T, its battery got drained out in the middle of the Job couldn't be able to finish the job 😢 very bad experience with E truck

You have to drive it conservatively for routes close to 300km, not like you stole it
anyway, install unlimited range mode and you'll be fine
I've done two jobs with the Renault E-Tech T and was fine on power, but I had no problem. But then again I'm the truckers version of 'Driving Miss Daisy'. 😂😂
Electric vehicules seem to have way less power loss in each transition of gears, due that it use electricity in general than fuel or something

that and the fact that unlike a internal combustion engine, it doesn't have a sweet spot, i.e at which rpm does the engine make produce most torque. that's why we got 12 or 16 gears. electric trucks might not be good for long distance hauls however, when it comes to special transports and very heavy transports along complex terrain, that's where the instant and constant torque without having to shift shines

The Electric Truck is in game. But only as a fixed Truck for routes up to 300 km. You can see it if you look for a blue lightning next to the trucks in the contracts
Do add to Kevil's comments, you can only drive them by going to the 'Quick Jobs' selection of Jobs, and then, as Kevil mentioned look for the blue lighting bolt by any Renault truck.
May I also suggest filtering the job selection my truck manufacturer.

Another good video! Looked to me as if the trailer legs were catching on the incline. Anyone having trouble with the load counter on the Swiss Trade Connections? Mine won't go above 6. Been that way for the last 4 days.

No lmao, MAN are very far from horrible trucks compared to them. Do you know of any 13L engine on either scania or Volvo that does 640hp? Because that's what the MAN has. Most Scania and Volvo trucks irl don't have 750hp either

E-Tech brakes are very very bad
Use engine brake along with the brake. Additionally, if there is a vehicle in front, automatic braking also works.
