As always - proudly Southern but eyes open. They've been stating the truth about being Americans from the South for years ...... proud but sad. Brave boys.......
Yeah more like this is why artists shouldn't dictate policy. Art is based on emotion, not facts. It's hilarious that anyone would actually trust these guys for political insight.
@@ErikID142 Artist have always been at the vanguard of social and political change. Knowing this fact means you understand Shakespeare, Billie Holliday, and Picasso. If a person doesn't know this--they talk shit.
Just saw the DBT for the second time in Vancouver. Honest rockers, ultimate garage band. Can`t say enough. They make me feel good, and teach me something with thier lyrics. I`m a lifer now.
Amazing band. Going to miss their concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, tomorrow due to economical issues. Kinda' sad. Love you, dudes. We're many that was with you then and are still with you now. Good talk
Wish Jay’s guitar was turned up on the first track. I know this record - American Band, is a few years old (jeez… they’ve put out 3 records in the 6 years since), but both “Ramon Casiano” and “Ever South” are two of the best songs the Truckers have written in the last decade, and that’s saying something. And IMO both are even better in the electric/album versions.
Man the least views, an likes. I've seen on a kexp vid ever. This for sure shows end of great band ,trying to push an agenda, took it's toll on there fan base.
Memorandom Isbell is great, just saw him in concert and it was superb. But i think the DBTs new album is one of their best. On the Cbs performance they had the three guitar sound going when Jay picked up a guitar.
They were great before Isbell and if you don't think Brighter Than..., English Oceans and American Band are awesome then I just don't know what to tell you.
These guys just driving on and singing the Truth. Love them and the new album is great.
I absolutely love these KEXP shows and interviews. The artists can be who they are. Keep doing what you do! And...Merci!

This is THE album the country needs right now

I really fell for "What it Means" when I first heard. Fantastic lyrics written to a very catchy tune. Something Neil Young would write.
for the first few times that I heard this song, I couldn't help but cry as I heard the line "...with a pocket full of skittles" Such a poignant song!

Good comparison!

Looks like they've got Neil Young circa '72 on bass! A great showcase for a bunch of powerful songs
Reminds me of Neil Young!

Bring back Angel Olsen!!
Here it is ...late 2019 .....only got worse...I'm saddend... by our state ...
ha, we were still innocent in 19'
Cooley's voice used to sound like Mick Jagger's and now it sounds like Keith Richards's (well, except better than ol' Keef's)
Sure sucks learning where some of my fav bands political social stances are

Such a dirty band
You mean that in a good way? Or literally dirty and need clean
he means that in the worst way you can imagine ;)
I used to love these guys but they've not been particularly good since Jason Isbell and then Shonna Tucker left. Just something _elemental_ missing.
Isbell's songs were always the best, I'm glad he went solo.
Jason Isbell is better off now as a solo act and more successful.

You're right about their latest album, it's one of their best in sometime.

How does a guy get a job speaking for a living on a radio station with that incredible lisp? Sounds like an old Saturday night live skit.
Come on, man, this sucks.... I love them.....this sucks
Glad the interviewer didn't fall for his liberal bullshit political comments !
Il est temps d'augmenter la dose de vos médicaments… homme-dragon
